MARDESIA HILL
LORANGER -- Mardesia Hill, 94, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Summit Hospital, Baton Rouge.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Hill of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Bobby Hill of Fayetteville, Ga.; one daughter, Deliliah C. Wright of Loranger; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be Saturday at Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until the Rev. Daniel Crosby conducts the funeral at 11.
Burial will be at Big Creek Cemetery, Kentwood.
Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, is in charge.
ALBERTA W. JONES
PONCHATOULA -- Alberta W. Jones, 67, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, in Lancaster, Calif.
A native of Ponchatoula, she was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Ponchatoula.
She is survived by her husband, Phares Brumfield of Ponchatoula; one daughter, Cheryl F. Broadenax of Lancaster, Calif.; two sons, Dwayne Jones of Lancaster, Calif., and Marvin Jones of Austin, Texas ; one sister, Mildred Williams of Chicago; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today at Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Mack McCraney will conduct the funeral Saturday at 11 a.m., and burial will be at Holly Garden Cemetery, Hammond.
JOSHUA LUCIEN LAMY SR.
Joshua Lucien Lamy Sr., 32, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center.

MELVA EASLEY GILL WELCH
KENTWOOD -- Melva Easley Gill Welch, 74, a homemaker, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at Hood Memorial Hospital, Amite.
A native of St. Helena Parish, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Kentwood.
Survivors include two sons, Sonny Gill of Gillsburg, Miss., and Kenny Gill of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Brenda Gilbert of Walker and Carolyn Nettles of Kentwood; one brother, Bobby Easley of Kentwood; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lida Easley; three sisters, Mildred Megison, Rucie Lea and Christine Easley; and one brother, Huey Easley.
Visitation will be tonight at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 to 9 and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the Rev. Milton Kliesch conducts the funeral at 10.
Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood.
WILLIE B. BARRILLEAUX
INDEPENDENCE -- Willie B. "Rusty" Barrilleaux, 82, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond, from complications from major surgery.
A retired riverboat captain with 50 years of service, he is survived by three sons, Clay J. Barrilleaux of Holden, Robert G. Barrilleaux of Roseland and James R. Barrilleaux of Hammond; one sister, Mildred Hanks; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clay J. Barrilleaux; three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be today at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the Rev. Robert Clay Barrilleaux conducts the funeral at 11. Burial will be at Arcola-Roseland Cemetery, Arcola.
ELLA BARNES BLOW
PONCHATOULA -- Ella Barnes Blow, 95, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Belle Maison Nursing Home.
A native of Franklinton, she is survived by one sister, Tina Holland of Ponchatoula.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mandy O'Bryant Barnes; one sister, Beulah Barnes; and five brothers, Willie, Berley, Dewitt, Oather and J.W. Barnes.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 10. Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery.
GERALDINE MITCHELL DEMARS
BATON ROUGE -- Geraldine Mitchell DeMars, 71, died Saturday, April 24, 2004, at her home.
A native of Ponchatoula, she is survived by two daughters, Darlene Weir of Denham Springs and Virginia Settoon of Watson; a son, Gene DeMars of Baton Rouge; sisters and brothers, Shirley Palmer of Hammond, John LaVerne Mitchell, Walter Mitchell and Louise Clark, all of Ponchatoula, Betty Savoy of Albany and Patricia Murray of Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. DeMars Sr.; her father, John Q. Mitchell; and her mother, Ruby Bruce Mitchell.
Visitation will be tonight at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 to 9 and Tuesday from noon until the Rev. Jason Weir conducts the funeral at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
EMILY LUCILLE DOLDREN
NEW ORLEANS -- Kentwood native, Emily Lucille Doldren, 43, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond, Doldren of Longbeach, Calif; three sons, Samuel Winters of New Orleans, and Benjamin and Brian Winters, both of Longbeach; one daughter, Delene Winters of Longbeach; three sisters, Marlena Rodriguez of New Orleans, Maldline Roberts of Osyka, Miss., and Aurelia Barquero of Houston; 12 brothers, David, Raymond, Richard and Alexander, Wayne and Emmitt Winters and Stevie Wyre, all of New Orleans, Bobbie Winters of Amite, Jessie Winters of Dallas, Gregory Winters of Houstons, Lee Anthony Wyre of West Virginia and Eric Winters of San Diego; her mother, Louise Winters of New Orleans; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emmitt Thomas; and her grandparents, Conrad Wyre and Emily Wyre.
The Rev. Eddie Braziel will conduct the funeral Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, Amite. Burial will follow at Sweethome Cemetery, Kentwood.
LISA CHANDRA DOVE
NATALBANY -- Lisa Chandra Dove, 36, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at her home.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Natalbany.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Dove of Natalbany; three daughters, Carol Turner, Felicia Spears and Angela Spears, all of Natalbany; two sons, Darril Turner and Earl Spears Jr., both of Natalbany; one sister, Patricia Wheeler of Magnolia, Miss.; three brothers, Frank, Bobby and Walter Turner, all of Hammond; and her mother, Carol Faye Turner of Natalbany.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, from 9 a.m. until the Rev. Alfred hart conducts the funeral at 11. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond.
MARY GIACONE LUCIDO
ST. CHARLES PARISH -- Mary Giacone Lucido, 84, a native of Independence, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at River Parishes Hospital, LaPlace.
Survivors include her daughter, Marie Lucido Matherne of Norco; two sisters, Nancy Major of Independence, and Lelah Palmisano of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Tony Giacone of Independence and Joe Giacone of Baton rouge; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Kelly Lucido; four sisters, Lena Caccatore, Katie Zinna, Rose Bergeron and Rose Marie Bergeron; and five brothers, Carlo, Gasper, Leon, George and Nick Giacone, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the Rev. Paul McDuffie conducts the Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Colonial Cemetery.

DOROTHY CLARK ROEBUCK
SEATTLE -- Dorothy Clark Roebuck, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004.
Born the eighth child to Mr. and Mrs. Willie Clark of Hammond, she is survived by her husband, Boyd Roebuck; children from her first marriage to Jessie Watson Sr., two daughters, Yvonne Sampson of Seattle and Angel Watson of Hammond, and two sons, Jessie Watson Jr., and LeRoy Watson, both of Seattle; five stepchildren, Johnathan Roebuck, David Roebuck, Robbie Alan, Letha Wright and Cristal, all of Seattle; three brothers, Johnny Clark of Hammond, Lawrence Clark of Houston and David Clark of Seattle; two sisters, Artimese Jerrels of Seattle and Betty Jean Robinson of Hammond; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Two children preceded her in death.
Funeral and burial arrangements were held earlier in Seattle.
MELVIN WOODROW ROGERS
NATALBANY -- Melvin Woodrow Rogers, 82, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Cleo Rogers of Natalbany; two daughters, Linda Faye Rogers and Diane Blomerly, both of New Orleans; one son, Melvin "Pedo" Woodrow Rogers of Natalbany; one brother, Matthew Rogers of Baton Rouge; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rena Marten Rogers; and one brother, Murray Rogers.
Visitation will be Thursday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will be a New Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
LORETTA LABAUVE ROY
Amite native, Loretta LaBauve Roy, 77, died Monday, April 26, 2004, in Hammond.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur Strahan of Pumpkin Center and Lonnie Strahan of Bonifay, Fla.; one daughter, Iris S. Cleveland of Pumpkin Center; one brother, Earlo LaBauve of Independence; two sisters, Gertie Feldman of St. Francisville and Jeanette Rabalais of Luling; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Grazielle Landry LaBauve; her second husband, Rennie Pittman; her third husband, Joseph Roy; two grandchildren; two brothers, James and George LaBauve; and one sister, Anna Alexander.
Visitation will be tonight at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 9 and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the Rev. Jerry Hughes conducts the funeral at 10. Burial will be at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
