Roy Francis Cucchiara, 89, a native of Independence, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.

FRANCES IMOGENE TARVER LEBO
TANGIPAHOA -- Frances Imogene Tarver Lebo, 69, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004.
She was a member of Chesbrough Baptist Church and a retired truck driver.
Survivors include her daughters, Rose West of St. Amant; three sons, James Donald Lebo and William "Terry" Lebo, both of Dallas and Vernon Casey Lebo of Waco, Texas ; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Richard "Bob" Tarver of Picayune, Miss., Joe Tarver of Richmond, Va., Cecil Tarver, Magnolia, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Junnie Lebo; her parents, Hollis L. and Mary E.M. Tarver; two sisters, Lillian Eudora Tarver Easley and Ada Mae Tarver Green; and two brothers, Thomas Ingram Tarver and John Paul Tarver Sr.
Visitation will be Friday at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 8 until the funeral at 10 a.m. conducted by the Rev. John David Stewart.
Burial will be at Tangipahoa Cemetery, Tangipahoa.
JAMES F. MARTIN
KENNER -- James F. Martin, 40, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at his home.
He is survived by his parents, James D. Martin and Marie Martin of Kenner; two sisters, Tonya Martin of Baltimore, Maryland, and Tameka Martin of Kenner; and two brothers, Rodney Martin of Kenner and Randy Martin of Fredrick, Maryland.
The Rev. Donald Brown Sr. will conduct the funeral Friday at Rising Star Baptist Church, River Ridge, at 8 p.m. The dismissal and burial will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at McKnight Cemetery, Liberty, Miss.

LYDIA WALLACE THOMPSON
INDEPENDENCE -- Lydia Wallace Thompson, 82, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004.
Survivors include one son, Donald Pittman of Independence; two daughters, Oneda Kinchen of Gonzales and Gloria Coslan of Tickfaw; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lilly Bergeron of Independence, Catherine Morgan of Albany, Louise Morgan of Baton Rouge; and two brothers, Morgan Wallace Jr. of Denham Springs and Ambrose Wallace of Jasper, Texas .
Her parents, Morgan and Ada Quave Wallace; three daughters, Betty Leonard Murphee, Evie Leonard Martin and Patricia Leonard McCarroll; one grandchild and one great-grandchild; and one sister, Lela Pisciotta, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Friday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 2 p.m.
Burial will be at Durbin Cemetery, Independence.
DORIS HARPER
AMITE -- Doris "Buddy" Harper, 82, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at his home.
A native of White Bluff, Tenn., he was a heavy equipment mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Harper of Amite; his daughter, Ivies Fay Harper of Amite; a son, Charles R. Harper of Amite; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Lee Harper; his parents, Lee and Anna Harper; and numerous brothers and sisters.
The Rev. Leonard McMichael conducted the funeral today, and burial was at Killian Chapel Cemetery, Hillsdale.

DONALD WAYNE JOHNSON
HOLDEN -- Donald Wayne Johnson , 68, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge.
Born in Ward Four of St. Helena Parish, he was retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill in Port Hudson.
He was a member of Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church where he was an elder clerk of session. He was also a member of the Hungarian Settlement Historical Society, the Edward Livingston Historical Society, the St. Helena Historical Society, the Sons & Daughters of West Florida Society and the USGen Web-Louisian and the St. Helena Archives.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Fay King Johnson of Holden; a son, Russell Keith Johnson ; one daughter, Gwenna Marie Johnson ; three grandchildren; and three brothers, Carl Ray, William Davis and Sidney Earl Johnson .
His parents, Luther N. and Bertie Bell Davis Johnson , preceded him in death.
The Rev. Stephen Sanders will conduct a memorial Saturday at Hungarian Presbyterian Church, Albany, at 3 p.m.

PETER DOUGLAS MCKEAN
KENTWOOD -- Peter Douglas McKean, 61, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Baton Rouge.
A native of Slidell, he was an iron and farm worker.
He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Ralphadean M. McKean of Kentwood; two sons, Douglas L. and Ralph McKean, both of Franklinton; three grandchildren; four brothers, Jim, Billy and Paul McKean, all of Greensburg, and John McKean of Picayune, Miss.; and one sister, Theresa Doughty of Greensburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Isabel McKean; one brother, Lee McKean; and one sister, Elizabeth Soeller.
The Rev. Curtis Mixon conducted a graveside service today at Oak Grove Cemetery, Slidell.

Albert Monistere, 82, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004.

BIRVON ROBERTS
ANGIE -- Birvon "Butch" Roberts, 57, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Louisiana State University Medical Center, Bogalusa.
Upon graduating from Wesley Ray High School, he worked for East Jefferson Water Works and Longshoreman of New Orleans. Shortly after he joined the Merchant Marines and once his travels were complete, he began working for Crown Zellabach which is currently Inland Paper Mill in Bogalusa where he worked as a machine operator for 37 years.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie Roberts of Angie; two sons, Gregory Dimitrious and Birvon Jr., both of Angie; two grandchildren; 10 brothers, Linell Roberts of Angie, Alton Hart Sr., Benjamin Hart, Leon Hart, Joseph Hart Sr. and Samuel Hart, all of Albany, the Rev. Lawrence Hart of Palo Alto, Calif., the Rev. Charles Hart and the Rev. Alfred Hart, both of Hammond, and Dennis Hart of Houston; and one sister, Warnellia Coston of Velma.
His parents, Willie B. and Emma Harry Roberts; three brothers, Oliver, Milton and Nathaniel Hart; and two sisters, Gloria Cox and Eva Glynn, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Friday at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Bogalusa, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday at Wesley Ray United Methodist Church, Angie, at noon. The Rev. Bruce Brown will be in charge.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
CLEMENTINE THOMPSON
NEW ORLEANS -- Clementine Thompson, 65, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, Jefferson .
A native of Tylertown, Miss., she was a retired salesperson for Payless Shoe Source. She was a member of Solid Rock COGIC.
Survivors include four daughters, Annie Reed, Tanya and Helen Thompson, all of New Orleans, and Cynthia Thompson of Loranger; two sisters, Jearlean Barnett and Lucille Rice, both of New Orleans; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday at Spain St. COGIC, New Orleans, from 6 p.m. until the wake at 7:30 p.m.
Visitation will also be Saturday from 9 a.m. until the Rev. Johnny Montgomery conducts the funeral at 11.
Burial will be at Fleming Cemetery, Independence.
