She was 90 and a native of Hobart. interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. Survived by two sisters, Alva L. White and Gertrude W. Evans, both of Prairieville; two brothers, Lester C. White , Prairieville, and Edwin D. White , Maurepas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Sam H. Kelly; parents, Frank M. and Winnie Marchand White ; three sisters, Elizabeth White , Rena W. Finley and Viola White ; and three brothers, Andrew, A.N. and F.M. White Jr. She was a member of Broussard Grove Baptist Church, Prairieville.

LANDEN, KATHLEEN KING "KATHY"
Died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at 7:45 a.m. surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Centreville, Miss., after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. A homemaker, she was born Feb. 8, 1946, in Gonzales. She was the daughter of Charles McVea King and Cora Dixon King. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gonzales. She is survived by her husband, Carl Landen; a son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Ami Barden; a daughter and son-in-law, Nikki and Barry Dison; four grandchildren, Richard and Michael Barden and Selina and Cody Dison; two sisters, Diane Oliver and Vicki Mitchell; three brothers, Charles M. King Jr., Michael D. "Mike" King and Chandler C. King; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Tammy and John Murphy and Julie and Chad Melancon; two stepsons, Richie Landon and his wife, Alicia, and Robert Landon; and stepgrandchildren, Dane and Justin Murphy, Carley Melancon, Shelby Landon and Brittany and Bailey Barousse. Preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jacqueline "Jackie" Villar; and two nephews, Mitchell Villar and Micha King. Burial in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. Pallbearers were Tyler Villar, Charles King III, Neal King, Clinton King, Mikail King, David Guidry, Vance Mitchell, Courtney Mitchell and Kace King. LANOUX, BERTICE MAE VICE
A homemaker and a resident of St. Amant, she died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, in Baton Rouge. She was 74 and a native of Chapel Hill, Texas . Visitation at New River Baptist Church, St. Amant, from 10 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Brian Solenberger. interment in church cemetery. Survived by her husband, A.J. Lanoux; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Glenda and Dennis Lanoux, Raye and Greg Boyd, Faye Tilghman, and Brenda and Arlie Kneale; three stepdaughters, Charlotte Walters, Bonnie Fowler and Glenda Blunk; a son, Andy Coker; three stepsons, Jefferson and Mike Coker and Samuel Lanoux; three sisters, Inez Anderson, Elsie Hinkle and Jean Palmer; a brother, Bobby Vice; 16 grandchildren, 24 stepgrandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. and Mary Guillote Vice; a brother, Robert Vice; a son-in-law, Bill Tilghman; two great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert Dugan, Billy Tilghman, Stephen Tilghman, Jason Coker, Jacob Mattix and Waylon Mattix. Honorary pallbearers are Bert Coker, Byron Coker, Blake Coker, Seth Boyd and Samuel Boyd.

MEDUS, AMY GUEDRY
A homemaker and a resident of Donaldsonville, she died at 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, in Baton Rouge. She was 92 and a native of Smoke Bend. Visiting at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Donaldsonville, from 10 a.m. Tuesday until Mass of Christian Burial at noon, celebrated by the Rev. Michael Galea. interment in Ascension Cemetery, Donald- sonville. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Yvonne Markey, New Orleans, and Iona "Polo" and John "Buck" LeBlanc , Baton Rouge; a daughter-in-law, Miriam Medus, Donaldsonville; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, George Francis Medus; parents, Jules J. and Laura Rome Guedry; a son, Bernard Francis Medus; a sister, Erna Poirrier; and a brother, Mervyn Guedry. Her grandsons will be pallbearers. Special thanks to Trinity Hospice of Baton Rouge.

MIGUES, DURWOOD ANTHONY "WOOD"
A craftsman with 23 years of service for IMC Agrico and a resident of Gonzales, he died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, in Gonzales. He was 54 and a native of Port Sulphur. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. interment in St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery, Port Sulphur. Survived by his wife, Ila Treuil Migues; mother, D'ella Comeaux Migues; two daughters and sons-in-law, Danielle and Brett Painter and Destiny and Jason Pino; a sister, Del'Norte Frazier; a brother, Darrell J. Migues; and two grandchildren, Haley Painter and Bryson Pino. Preceded in death by his father, Ned N. Migues; a nephew and a godson. Pallbearers were Ralph Treuil Jr., Anthony Smith, Michael J. Graff, Jarod Smith, Travis Smith and Nicholas Graff. Honorary pallbearers were Jacob Puderer Jr., Dustin Hayden and Jacob Puderer III.

NEWCHURCH, MARIE SCIONEAUX
A homemaker and a resident of Paincourtville, she died at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003. She was 70 and a native of St. James. interment in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Cemetery. Survived by three sisters, Estelle Variana, Morgan City, Gladys Dugas, Gulfport, Miss., and Elnora LeJeune, Donaldsonville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Cooper" Newchurch; parents, Lubin and Philoman Rome Scioneaux; a sister, Rose Scioneaux; and four brothers, Morris, Charlie, Roy and Edward Scioneaux.

PARKER, ADA FELICE
A resident and native of Acy, she died at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003. She was 96. interment in New River Methodist Church Cemetery, St. Amant. Survived by a daughter, Helen Parker Gregoire, Acy; two sons, Milbern Parker, Acy, and Charles Parker, St. Amant; seven grandchildren, Charles H. and Belinda, Dale, Dean and Darren Parker, and Murphy and Benny Gregoire; 17 great-grandchildren, Mitch, Jim, Kathy, Corey, Brandi, Dustin, Brooke, Chant, Chase, Mathew, Benjamin, Michael, Joey, Christy, Courtney, Aaron and Donovan; and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Ben Parker; father and mother, Melton and Cecile Cannon; two brothers, Henry and Duey Cannon; two sisters, Bernice Porrier and Vivian Batts; a grandson, Jimmy Parker; and a great-grandson, Chip Parker.

RICHARD, DOROTHY HAYNES "DOT"
A homemaker and a resident and native of Donaldsonville, she died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, in Donaldsonville. She was 78. interment in Ascension Catholic Church Cemetery. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dennis Waguespack, Donald- sonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald "Ron" and Jonell Richard, Tomball, Texas ; a sister, Lola Bourgeois, Donaldsonville; four grandchildren, Jody and Tammy Waguespack and Brandy and Brad Richard; and a great-grandchild, Reed Waguespack. Preceded in death by her husband, LeeRoy Richard; and parents, Ambrose and Julia Melancon Haynes.

Owner of RCMS Inc. and a resident of Prairieville for 10 years, he died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at his home. He was 36 and a native of Metairie. Survivors include his wife, Stacie K. Roger; mother, Gail L. Roger; father, Roland J. Roger Jr.; sister, Sheri R. Casso; stepmother, Margaret L. Roger; grandmother, Marguerite M. Livaudais; mother-in-law, Priscilla R. SHUMAKE, BRENDA MARROY
A homemaker and resident of Port Allen, she died at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, in Baton Rouge. She was 61 and a native of Donaldsonville. Survived by a daughter, Shawnee Shumake, Metairie; two sons, Mark Shumake, Port Allen, and Michael Shumake, Winnfield; a brother, Neil Marroy Sr., Belle Rose; and a granddaughter, Mallory Carlyn Shumake. Preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Ella Hebert Marroy.

VIZINAT, ALLISON ELIZABETH
A sophomore at Southeastern Louisiana University and a resident of Prairieville, she died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, after a brief illness. She was 19 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales from 8-10 a.m. Tuesday until religious service at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville. interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. Survived by her father and stepmother, Keith and Bobette Vizinat; two sisers, Brittany and Mary Vizinat; and two stepbrothers, Brett and Cody Reynolds. Preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Fontenot Vizinat; paternal grandparents, Jessie and Grace Vizinat; and maternal grandparents, Lionel and Joyce Fontenot.

Apperson, Jeannette D. Jeannette
Jeannette "Jenny" Dupré Apperson, 59, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Gonzales, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, after a four-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Henry "Buddy" Apperson; children, John Daniel Apperson, Megan Apperson Percy and Brian Apperson; a grandchild, William Conner Percy; mother, Jeannette Dupré; brothers, Alvin Dupré Jr and John Dupré; sister, Agnes Dupré; son-in-law, Adam Percy; and sister-in-law, Ramona Dupré. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Dupré Sr. A memorial Mass was held Jan. 8 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales. It was her wish that the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans use her body to study the rare form of cancer, adenoid cystic carcinoma, which took her prematurely from her loved ones. Memorial donations may be made to the Gonzales branch of the Ascension Parish Public Library to benefit the Louisiana Summer Film Festival project, which Jenny helped initiate..

Chauvin, Jr. Nolan "Bee Bee" Joseph
A resident of Darrow and a retired longshoreman with Cooper T. Smith/Hall-Buck Marine, he was 63. He died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005 at 3:15 a.m. in Baton Rouge. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, and Wednesday, Jan. 12 from 9-10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Darrow. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Michael Galea. interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. He is survived by his wife, Ella Dee Haydel Chauvin, Darrow; mother, Ethel Jumonville Chauvin, Gonzales; two daughters, Amanda Chauvin and Sandy Chauvin, both of Darrow; two sons, Christopher Chauvin, French Settlement and Ricky Chauvin, Maurepas; three sisters, Linda Decoteau, St. Amant, Marie St. Pierre, Gonzales, and Marilyn Chauvin, Lake; two brothers, Alvin Chauvin and Michael Chauvin, both of Gonzales; four grandchildren, Chrissy and Heather Chauvin, French Settlement and Reggie and Brittany Chauvin of Darrow. He was preceded in death by his father, Nolan Joseph Chauvin Sr.; two bothers, David James Chauvin and Perry Chauvin. He was a past member of the Gonzales Jambalaya Association and former member of the 5th Ward Volunteer Fire Department, Darrow.

Cicero, Beulah M. Soulier
She died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at the age of 88. She was born on Dec. 14, 1916, in Frisco, and was the youngest of nine children born to Ollie Lejeune Soulier and Nicholas Justin Soulier. She was a resident of Baton Rouge since 1942. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are pending. She graduated from Livonia High School and went into business upon moving to Baton Rouge in 1942. She and her husband owned and operated a grocery business, and then a package liquor store until their retirement in 1961. She then became an employee of the Louisiana State Archives and Records Department until her retirement there. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Carole and Shelby L. Robert; son and daughter-in-law, Samuel Robert "Bob" and Carolyn White Cicero; four grandchildren and their spouses,; two stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, J.Y. Ragusa; and sisters-in-law, Dolly and Ruby Ragusa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Joseph Cicero; brothers, sisters and several nieces and nephews.

DENNIS, BETTYE JEAN
A homemaker and resident of Darrow, she died at 3 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. She was 52 and a native of Donaldsonville. interment in St. Peter's Baptist Church Cemetery, Darrow. She is survived by two sons, Tyson and wife Monica Dennis and Edward D. Dennis, all of Darrow; four sisters, Ophelia and husband Sullon Cloudet, Gonzales, Leola D. Darville, Darrow, Rubye D. Stevens, Daly City, Calif., and Eva D. Johnson , New Orleans; a brother, Victor and wife Rose Dennis, Pineville; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Margaret Dennis; two sisters, Mable D. Saulney and Louise Dennis; a brother, Stanford Dennis; and grandparents. Pallbearers were Cereon, Joshua and Sherman Jackson , Floyd Gales, Don Domio, Ivan J. Dunbar, Dwayne Scott and Jeremy Darville. Honorary pallbearers were Juan F. Parker, Claudell White , John Milan, Troy Johnson , Victor Dennis, Kevin J. Darville and El Reed Wilson. She was a graduate of East Ascension High School.
