Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Walker. interment in Killian Chapel Cemetery, Hillsdale. Survived by his wife, Gladys Montalbano Burton, McComb; a grandson, Shawn Walker, Brandon, Miss.; a sister, Annie Ruth McMullen, River Ridge; two stepdaughters, Vicki Mason, Summit, Miss., and JoAnn Hose, Amite; and three stepgrandchildren, Tommy Ballard, Tany Taylor and Lindsey Taylor . Preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Walker; a son, Bobby Burton; a stepson, Dennis McAllister; a brother, Leon Burton; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Burton.

COMEAUX, JR. LESTER ALFRED
He left this world to be with his Lord and savior on Monday, Sept. 18, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Sybil Adams Comeaux; and three daughters, Donna Ann Fields, Lesta Marie Levy and Debbie Warren. Funeral arrangements are planned for Oct. 14, 2000, in White Castle. Final arrangements will be announced at a later date.

DYKES, THOMAS J.
A resident of Montpelier, he died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 67 and a native of Bolivar. Visitation was at Montpelier United Methodist Church, Montpelier, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Charles E. Scott and the Rev. Eddie Morgan. interment was in Bolivar Cemetery, Bolivar. Survived by his wife, June A. Dykes, Montpelier; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne L. and Peggy Hagan, Hammond, Thomas Rodney and Dianne Dykes, Houston, and James David and Gaye Marie Dykes, Hammond; a sister, Betty Brown, Kentwood; and seven grandchildren, Lindsay Ellen Hagan and Elizabeth Lee Hagan, both of Hammond, Daphne Rachelle Dykes, Houston, Misty Nikole Dykes and Annsley Danya Dykes, both of Houston, and Brittany Arlene Dykes and Ashlyn Marie Dykes, both of Hammond. Preceded in death by his parents, James Rodney and Hazel Nell Dykes. Pallbearers will be Wayne Hagan, Rodney Dykes, David Dykes, James C. Rather Jr., Charles Millard Warren and Clarence J. Fitzhugh. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Montpelier United Methodist Church, 36236 La. 16 W., Montpelier, LA 70422. ERWIN, EDWARD WOODROW
A resident of Watson, he died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000. He was 20. Arrangements are pending at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs.

GLYNN, EMMETT MARTIN
A retired real estate broker and developer and a resident of Grand Isle, he died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, in Grand Isle. He was 88 and a native of Arbroth. He was a graduate of LSU and a former president of Bayou Board of Realtors. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Natalie Jones Glynn; a daughter, Christine Glynn; a son and daughter-in-law, Martin Alexander and Patricia Hymel Glynn; a sister, Catherine Busse; a sister-in-law, Ruby McRae; and three grandchildren, April Harper, Rebecca Morrell and Richard Glynn. Preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Felicie Glynn; a brother, Richard Glynn; and a sister, Eloise Mullen. Visitation at Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church, Grand Isle, from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. Memorial donations to LSU Alumni Federation preferred in lieu of flowers.

GRENCHIK, RAYMOND THOMAS "RAY"
A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he Passed away at 9:06 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 78, a native of Whiting, Ind., and a resident of Baton Rouge since 1957. He was a retired LSU professor. Visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. and recitation of the rosary at 8:45 p.m. Funeral Mass at the church at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne F. Grenchik; a daughter, Mary Grenchik; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruthie and Tom Horton; sons, Steve and Bob Grenchik; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Pat Grenchik, Norbert and Annie Grenchik, Thomas and Josephine Grenchik and Philip and Carol Grenchik; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Delores and Harry Smolen and Therese Grenchik and Lee Goodin; and his aunt, Mrs. Ed Lawler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and Joseph Grenchik; and a grandson, Cameron Settoon. Pallbearers will be Joseph, Norbert, Thomas, Philip, Steve and Bob Grenchik. He was a graduate of St. Procopius, the University of New Mexico and Indiana State University. He was a Catholic chaplain at Dixon Correctional Institute for nine years, on the original board of Joseph Homes and a member of St. Aloysius Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Joseph Homes, c/o Social Responsibility Department, Catholic Community Services, P.O. Box 1668, Baton Rouge, LA 70821-1668. GUEDRY, JOSEPH JOHN "JOE"
An employee of Ascension Parish Public Works and a resident of St. Amant, he died at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, in St. Amant. He was 59 and a native of Sorrento. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday. Religious services at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Monday, conducted by Mark Stermen. interment in Richardson Cemetery, St. Amant. Survived by a daughter, Stephanie Tregre, Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Jennifer Hebert Guedry, Sorrento; two stepsons, Justin Tregre and wife Kim, Denham Springs, and Steve Tregre, Sorrento; a sister, Mary Ann Albritton and husband Sterling, St. Amant; two grandchildren, Kaislyn Guedry and Blake Tregre; and two nieces, Angel Cannon and Shanell Bourque. Preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Reine Guedry; parents, Louis J. and Mary Gaudin Guedry; and an infant brother.

GUILLORY, RONALD R.
A retired Bell South telecommunications technician, he Passed away at 10:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at his home. He was 62, a native of Marksville and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, with recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 7853 Broker Ave., at 11 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Jack Nutter. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. His is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jerrie Jeansonne Guillory, Baton Rouge; his father, Ernest O. Guillory, Marksville; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Scott Collier, Houston; a son, Troy Guillory, Watson; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Roger Diver, Marksville; sisters-in-law, Frances and her husband Martin Duris, Eileen and her husband, Regis Dupuis, Clara Zabkar and Anna Mae Jeansonne; five grandchildren, Shauntel Stokley, Drew and Rachael Guillory and Ryan and Brent Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clys Guillory; an infant brother, Christopher Guillory; mother-in-law, Celestine Bordelon; father-in-law, Gussie Jeansonne; and a brother-in-law, Wilbert Jeansonne. HEBERT, MRS. MORRIS J.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a resident of St. Amant, she died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at Ollie Steele Burden Manor. She was 89, a former resident of Plaquemine and Baton Rouge and a native of Bayou Goula. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at noon Monday, concelebrated by the Rev. Jerome Dugas and the Rev. Greg Daigle. interment in St. John Cemetery. Survived by her husband, Morris J. Hebert, St. Amant; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Patricia "Pat" and Charles Daigle, Port Allen, Barbara and Sims Roy, Durham, N.C., Lydia Faye Gilbert, Fullerton, Calif., and Wanda and Henry Begnaud, Houston; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Archie Hebert, Chico, Calif., Gene Mark and Sylvia Hebert, Shelby, N.C., Melvin and Veronica Hebert, Sorrento, and Gerald F. Hebert, Prairieville; four sisters, Marie Dupuy, Plaquemine, Genevieve "Sis" Stevens, Melbourne, Fla., Agnes Allain, Port Allen, and Germaine Hopkins, Baton Rouge; four brothers, Frank Granier, Luke "Tip" Granier and Bernard "Bro" Granier, all of Plaquemine, and Lawrence Granier, Clinton; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Arvelle and Clara Adele Thibodeaux Granier; two sons, Morris Jules Hebert Jr. and Charles Edward Hebert; a daughter, Brenda Sue Hebert; a son-in-law, Joe Gilbert; a sister, Clara Granier; and a brother, Joseph Granier Jr. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Altar Society in St. Amant and at Sacred Heart in Baton Rouge. She was a member of Exxon Bayou Annuity Club. HUGHES, DOROTHY DIANE
A cosmetologist for 15 years and co-owner of LA Cuts in Central, she died at 8:25 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, in Baton Rouge. She was 31, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Hammond. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Tim LaCog and the Rev. Morris Hunter. interment in Hughes Family Cemetery, Husser. Survived by her mother, Rosalie Bamber; two sons, Richard Gele III and Trevor Layne Hughes; fiancee, Wayne Mullenix; four sisters, Denise Bozeman, Dawn Abshire, Debbie Rotureau and Danielle Hughes; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Bailey Hughes. Pallbearers will be Dustin Abshire, Justin Abshire, David Johnson , Jessie Rotureau, Joe Abshire and Josh Basso. Honorary pallbearer is Harry Basso. She was a member of Central Worship Center, Baton Rouge.

JONES, JULIA EMERY
A resident of Oakland, Calif., she died at 8:07 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Highland Hospital, Oakland. She was 78 and a native of Baton Rouge. Survived by her husband, Soney Jones; a daughter, Lolet M. Jones, Baton Rouge; a son, Phillip C. Jones, Oakland; a brother, Louis Emery, Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren, Rodney C., Tony K., Gary D., Damon M., Cheri R., Felecia M., Precious, Phillip Jones Jr. and Tianna S. Anderson; and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father, Louis Emery; mother, Anniece Emery Ming; two sons, Alvin Jones and Louis V. Jones; two sisters, Thelma E. Harrison and Dorothy E. Ferguson; two brothers, George Emery and Johnny Emery; and a niece, Gloria H. Tucker. Fuller Funeral Home, Oakland, was in charge of arrangements.

KUMMERLOWE, JACK NICKLAUS
A graduate of Broadmoor High School and Louisiana Tech University and co-manager of Pike Family Nurseries in Atlanta, he Passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, and has taken his last jaunt. He had a heart of gold and accomplished a great deal more than was ever expected of him during his short lifetime of 30 years. He is survived by grandmother, Mae Hughes; father, Richard Kummerlowe; stepmother, Harriet Kummerlowe; mother, Emilie Riene; stepfather, Wayne Reine; brothers, Rich Kummerlowe, Travis Reine and wife Katherine, Craig Meeks and wife Tracie, Jeff Meeks and wife Paula, and Kevin Meeks; nieces, Amy and Janet; nephews, Josh, Sean and Timothy; and his dog, Sandy. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. LANDRY, SHANE ROBERT
A loving husband, father, son and brother and a resident of Denham Springs, he died at 6:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, in an automobile accident in Walker. He was 28 and a native of Baton Rouge. Survived by his wife, Stephanie Chamberlain Landry, Denham Springs; two sons, Tyler Robert Landry and Dalton Robert Landry, both of Denham Springs; father and mother, Craig and Kay Landry, Baton Rouge; maternal grandmother, Tolease Wright, Baker; and a brother, Dwayne Robert Landry, Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be Shane Grimmett, Dwayne Landry, Bill Avara, Steve Chamberlain, Steven Chamberlain, Paul Reulet and Maurice Broussard. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

MAJOUE, CONSTANCE ROY
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she died at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, at Flannery Oaks Guest House. She was 77, a resident of Baton Rouge and former longtime resident of New Orleans. Survived by her husband, Paul H. Majou' Jr.; two sons and two daughters-in-law, William P. Majoue' and Paulette Goodson, Inverness, Calif., and Dean S. Majou' and Spring V. Majoue', Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Michelle Majou' Middlebrook, Jonathan P. Majoue' and Maggie Majoue; and a sister, Lucille R. Rando. She was a member of Southern Bell Wives and Telephone Pioneers of America.
