Preceded in death by his grandparents, Louise Woods and Anderson Woods ; mother-in-law, Evelyn M. Casey Pointer; two brothers-in-law, Alvin M. Casey and Morris Pointer Jr.; and other relatives. Brown; and four brothers, Chris Brown, Ronnie Brown, Earl Brown and Michael Brown. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, William and Lenora Banks; and paternal grandparents, Carl and Janine Brown.

A homemaker and a native and resident of Port Allen, she died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at River West Medical Center, Plaquemine. She was 68. Survived by her husband, Leonard Cain Sr.; a daughter, Joyce Hawkins; and a sister, Elverna Bennett, all of Port Allen; a brother, James George Parker, Augusta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Abraham Hawkins, Allarick Hawkins, Asheal Hawkins and Arum Hawkins, all of Port Allen; and a great-grandchild, Asha Hawkins. Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Parker Jr.; two sisters, Janice P. Williams and Irma P. Williams; a brother, Vernell Parker; two daughters, Lillie Mae and Harriet Cain; and two sons, George and Leonard Cain.

A resident of Denham Springs, she died at 7:32 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Golden Age Nursing Home. She was 88 and a native of Liberty, Miss. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia C. and John P. Warren Sr.; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert G. and Dorothy "Dot" Crafton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Effie Hamilton Causey; a sister; and two brothers. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

CRAIG, THERESA G. FOLLINS "TEE"
A cake decorator for Winn-Dixie and a resident of Alsen, she died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, as the result of an automobile accident. She was 50 and a native of New Orleans. Religious services at Community Bible Baptist Church, 1729 Monte Sano Ave., at 7 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Lee T. Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl and Richard Russell, and Angela Jones; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Opal Jones; and mother and stepfather, Mary and William Ridley Sr., all of Baton Rouge; father, Leandrew Follins Sr., Milwaukee; four grandchildren, D’eltra and Kieara Jones and Courtney and Anthony Russell, all of Baton Rouge; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Leandrew Follins Jr., Alsen, Harold and Althea Follins, Boston, and Ronnie and Lois Follins, Alsen; and her fiancé, Vernon Wesley, Baton Rouge.

DEVALL, MYRTIE BELL
A retired Louisiana Department of Labor employee with 32 years of service and a resident of Prairieville, she died at 10:09 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2000, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 74 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at First Pentecostal Church from 5 p.m. until religious services at 7 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Curtis Young. Graveside services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Devall Family Cemetery. She is survived by four sisters, Mary Alice Yoes of Brownsfield, and Beulah Arceneaux, Betty Watts and Yvonne Devall, all of Prairieville; a brother, James A. "J.A." Devall Jr., Prairieville; 17 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Lizzie Campbell Devall; a sister, Rosetta Brantley; and two brothers, Wilson and Billy Devall. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church. ESKINE, ERNEST J.
Co-founder of Houston Aircraft Instruments Inc., he died Friday, March 3, 2000, peacefully in his sleep at his home. He was 73, a resident of Pearland, Texas , for more than 30 years and a former resident of Houston for 20 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater. The family will receive friends at SouthPark Funeral Home, Pearland, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Celebration of Life in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Monday. interment in SouthPark Cemetery. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mildred; a daughter, Darlene Cates and husband Randy; two sons, Ernest Eskine Jr. and wife Darla, and Paul Eskine; five grandchildren, Rachel, Bryan and Alison Cates and Erik and Matthew Eskine; three stepgrandchildren, Adam, Ben and Cathy Wetzel; and numerous other family members and friends who will miss him. He was a dedicated family man, a master watchmaker and an avid gardener. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

EVANS, CLARA GEORGE (MRS. W.W. "WOODY" EVANS)
A homemaker and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2000, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 83 and a native of Montpelier. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George Larry and Mary Alice Evans, Baton Rouge; a sister, Frances George Oliver, Baton Rouge; a brother, Lawrence V. George, Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Mark Larry Evans, Baton Rouge, and Dawn Joy Evans Newby, Oklahoma City; a great-grandchild, Allison Evans Bonnette, Denham Springs; and a brother-in-law, Joseph W. Howes, Covington. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Woodrow W. "Woody" Evans; a daughter, Patricia Joy Evans; parents, Ira N. George and Frances Elizabeth Dearing George; a sister, Anne George Howes; and three brothers, Lewis George, Edison George and Dr. Ira Dearing George. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge and Order of the Eastern Star Istrouma Chapter 162. HEBERT, MARIE TULLIER
A resident of Plaquemine, she died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2000, at River West Medical Center. She was 92 and a native of Addis. Visiting at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday, celebrated by the Rev. Jerome Dugas. interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine "Catee" and Carl "Caboot" D'Albor, Plaquemine; a son and daughter-in-law, Jules Donald and Billie Blake Hebert, Baton Rouge; a sister, Leola Bourg, Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Carl D'Albor Jr., Kathy D'Albor, Kim D'Albor, Blake Hebert, LaDonna Hebert and Darla Hebert; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Jules "J.A." Hebert; parents, Paul and Edna Hebert Tullier; and nine brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Retired from Partex Construction Co. and a native and resident of Grosse Tete, he died at 9:25 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2000, at his home. He was 72. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Scott, both of Baton Rouge; three uncles and their wives, John C. and Van Ella Washington , San Diego, Roy L. and Verette Washington , Portsmouth, Va., and Gregory J. and Carmen Washington , Columbus, Ohio; a godson, Jalyn Charles Pierre; devoted friends, Jamal Rucker, Tracy Rucker, Sheila Rucker and Leonard Rucker Jr.; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was a graduate of Capitol Senior High School. Her son, Nicholas, and her sister, Keisha, died the same day.
