A resident of Shippensburg, Pa., she died at 12:45 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2000, at Manorcare Health Services, Chambersburg, Pa. She was 55, born Sept. 23, 1944, in Baton Rouge, a daughter of Gordon and Josie Blom Allen of Baton Rouge. She was an employee of Shippensburg University and former employee of G. Leonard Fogelsonger Insurance Agency, Shippensburg. She received a bachelor of arts degree in geography from Shippensburg University and was a member of the Shippensburg University Alumni Association and the Board of Fellows of the Shippensburg University Foundation. She is survived by her parents; her husband, Donald E. Wilkinson; a brother, Gordon Allen of Vermont; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Debra) Hesser of Austin, Texas , and Mrs. Victor (Margaret) Erwin and Carol Wood, both of Baton Rouge; three nephews and a niece. Visitation at Old Main Chapel, Shippensburg University, from 1:30 p.m. Saturday until funeral services at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Janice M. Bye officiating. Burial in Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lodge, 125 Lacy Ave., Hummelstown PA 17036. Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg, in charge of arrangements.

CALLENDER, FLOSSIE MONTENA STERLING "MONNY"
Died Friday, April 21, 2000, at her residence in Baker. She was 83 and a native of Hammond. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Visiting at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Bill Bolton. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Eva M. and O.J. Duplessis, Reigh C. and Wesley Ritchie and Shirley and Basil Alexander, all of Baker; a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Nancy Tassin Callender, Ventress; grandchildren, Audrey L. Duplessis, Johnny Sue Powell, Keith and Scott Duplessis, Sherry Epperson, Kim R. McLin, James W. "Rocky" Ritchie, Catherine "Cathy" Kent, Basil Alexander Jr., Shawndell Filbert, and David and Eva Cox Callender; and 21 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Warren Ray "Buster" Callender; parents, Hollis H. and Eva Hughes Sterling; a sister, Carmen Edwards; and a grandson, Michael W. Ritchie. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Keith Duplessis, Basil Alexander, Rocky Ritchie, Butch McLin, Doug Epperson and Tommy and Lance Kent. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Duplessis, Mike Ritchie, Rick Powell, Mike Filbert and David Callender. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Baker.

TASSIN, MICHAEL MARTIN
A computer specialist and a resident of Ventress, he died Friday, June 2, 2000, as the result of an automobile accident. He was 40 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation in the funeral home chapel from 10 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Maynard Hurst. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his father, Councilman M.A. "Mike" Tassin; stepmother, Martha Jane Tassin; mother, Rochelle Tassin; a son, Brandon Tassin; paternal grandmother, Bessie Tassin; and two brothers, Allen Tassin and Bradley Tassin. Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, M.A. Tassin Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Al Nagole and Beulah Nagole. He was a member of New Roads Rotary Club and New Roads Team City.

ARD, JESSE LEA
A resident of Summit, Miss., he died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at Field Memorial Hospital, Centreville, Miss. He was 78, born Oct. 23, 1922, in St. Francisville. He was the son of Thomas Jones Ard Sr. and Lilly Waddell Ard Richardson. He was a retired operator for Copolymer Corp. and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church, Smithdale, Miss., where he served as a deacon. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 216 and the American Legion. He was a graduate of Clinton High School, where he was president of his graduating class, played baseball and tennis and was captain of the football team. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Frances Hunt. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Ligon Ard of Summit; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Otis Temple of Summit; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Jones Ard Jr. and Francis of Baton Rouge; two granddaughters, Cristie Lyn Wallace of Nashville, Tenn., and Jennifer Jill Fletcher of Summit; and two great-grandsons, Wyatt James-Lea and Rex David Fletcher, both of Summit. Visitation at Catchings Funeral Home, McComb, Miss., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation at Mars Hill Baptist Church, Smithdale, from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial in church cemetery.

BAKER, MARIE AGUILLARD
A homemaker and a resident and native of Batchelor, she died at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 76. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Religious services at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Innis. Other arrangements are pending. Survived by her husband, Earl E. Baker, Batchelor; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debby and Kenneth "Buck" David, New Roads, and Cindy and Bill Nipple, Gonzalez, Fla.; a sister, Mary Bea Lautier, Baton Rouge; five grandchildren, Brandon Baker, Preston and Beau Bowman, Jerome Hawkins and Wayne Reason; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon Baker Jr., Shari Bowman and Alyssa Baker. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Altar Society.

BROUILLETTE, ETTY NELL WOOD
Retired director of foods and nutrition for the Louisiana Department of Education and a longtime resident of Village Woods Retirement Community, she died at 10:25 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2001, at her residence. She was 81, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Sun. Visiting was at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2001. Visiting at St. George Catholic Church from 12:30 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, celebrated by the Rev. Than Vu. Entombment at Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Nell Transeau of Virginia Beach, Va., and Marsha and William Dumas of Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, John Michael and Cathy Brouillette of Baton Rouge; 7 grandchildren, Kristie Transeau, Cindy Niblo and husband Scott, Brad, Chad and Amy Brouillette, Megahn and Will Dumas; two brothers, John Wood of Covington and Nathan Wood of Sun. She was preceded in death by her husband: Alfred Benoit Brouillette; sister, Roberta Turner; and a brother, Cyril Wood. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church, Beta Sigma Phi, Master Lauriate Chapter, Sunday Nite Singles, Louisiana School Food Service Association and Village Woods Association. Special thanks to Dr. Ruben Fabrega and the oncology staff of Ochsner Clinic for their compassion and loving care. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Hospice of Baton Rouge, Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, St. Vincent de Paul Association or Kidney Foundation of Louisiana .

A resident of Hammond, she died Monday, July 30, 2001, at Hammond Nursing Home. She was 94 and a native of Alabama. Survived by five daughters, Bertha Bourgeois, Fordoche, Bernice Warner, Pensacola, Carrie Lea Pierre, Folsom, Frances Bruce, Breaux Bridge, and Carolyn Wheeler, St. Francisville; a son, Curtis William Bruce, Gulfport, Miss.; five sisters, Ruby Jones, Hurst, Texas , Nettie Jones, Mobile, Ala., Nellie Brown, Jackson , Ala., Gladys O'Neal, Fresno, Calif., and Viola Chismar, Metuchen, N.J.; 32 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Andrew Bruce; three daughters, Betty Jean Bruce, Bonnie Joyce Baham and Mazie Farlow; a sister, Bertha Lamberth; and two brothers, Nathan Lamberth and Grover Lamberth.

BULLOCK, KENNETH JAMES
A resident of St. Amant, he died at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2001. He was 51. Arrangements are pending at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales. Survived by his wife, Charmaine Blank Bullock, St. Amant.

BURNETTE, JERRY ANN SAMPSON

John 14:1-2 A cook with Claiborne County Nursing Home and a resident of Fayette, Miss., she died Friday, July 27, 2001, in an automobile accident near Lorman, Miss. She was 52, born May 22, 1949, in Fayette and was a former resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Spencer Funeral Home, 319 Mead St., Fayette, from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Religious services at Jefferson County High School, Fayette, at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Carl Johnson . interment in Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Survived by her husband, Cammie Burnette; mother, Laurine Short Sampson, Fayette; adoptive mother, Josephine Sampson Pogue, Baton Rouge; two daughters, Monica Sampson Fields and husband Terrance, and Jywanza Jackson ; two sons, Enrique Lamont Jackson and Jawara Jackson ; five sisters, Annie Mae Cook, Detroit, Lurline Sampson Robinson, Port Gibson, Miss., Doris Sampson King and husband Roy, Baton Rouge, Shirley Sampson Brown and husband Jerry, and Linda Sampson Smith, all of Fayette; a brother, Albert Sampson and wife Kaye, Fayette; three grandchildren, Jamal, Jamilia and Jerry; special friend, Florine Banks; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, including Carnell Washington , Baton Rouge; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her father, Charlie Sampson Sr.; adoptive father, Bert W. Sampson Jr.; a brother, Charlie "Chazpierre" Sampson Jr.; and a special aunt, Lurline Sampson Points. She attended Reddy and South Boulevard elementary schools and McKinley Junior High and graduated from Southern University Laboratory School.

A retired clerk with Cashio's Store in Maringouin, she died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home, New Roads. She was 79 and a resident and native of Maringouin. Visiting at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Maringouin, from 9 a.m. Thursday until religious services at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Sheldon Fabre. interment in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Cemetery. Survived by two sisters, Mrs. Joe H. "Rose" Warner, Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Tommy P. "Lucille" Tuminello, Gretna; a sister-in-law, Rosemary R. Cashio, Maringouin; a brother-in-law, Joe A. Tuminello, Port Barre; nieces and nephews, Jonathan H. Warner, Gregory N. Warner, Sharon Rose Warner Lee, Thomas P. Tuminello, Mary Suzette Tuminello Oubre, Mary Cashio, Joey A. Tuminello and Alfred R. Tuminello; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lucy P. Cashio; three brothers, Samuel J. "Radio Sam" Cashio, Leo Lucas Cashio and Alfred Royal Cashio; and a sister, Lou Ann Cashio Tuminello. CHAPMAN, TIMOTHY LEE
Owner of Tim's Radiator Service in Denham Springs and a resident of Denham Springs, he died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at Summit Hospital, Baton Rouge. He was 48 and a native of Beaumont, Texas . He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until religious services at 11:30 a.m. Friday. interment in Denham Springs Memorial Park. Survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Sandra Jones Chapman; mother, Sarah Sigrest; a daughter, Samatha Chapman and fiance Chris Deno; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Tonia, Christopher, and Justin and Melanie Chapman; paternal grandmother, Sally Wunderlich; two brothers, Bobby Bales and Jay Cotham; two stepsisters, Angel and Candie Bales; a stepbrother, Michael Bales; three grandchildren, Zane, Brooke and Dorian; and numerous nieces and nephews. GASHIA, ELMA ROY
A resident of Prairieville and a former resident of New Orleans, Opelousas and Lafayette, she was born March 17, 1907, in Baton Rouge. She died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at 4:05 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge, at age 94. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn G. and Lionel "Buck" Keller; and a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Collin and Michelle T. Keller, all of Prairieville; several cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ivy A. Gashia; two sisters, Mrs. James F. (Mabel) O'Neil and Mrs. E.B. (Thelma) Kemp, her twin, both of New Orleans; a brother, Dennis J. Roy of California; and parents, Alfred D. Roy and Agatha Normand Roy, who were of Hessmer. Visitation at the Lake Chapel, La. 431, from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, celebrated by the Rev. Robert Stein. interment in Lake Cemetery. Survived by a sister, Rozanna Minor Stevens, Metairie; and two brothers, Johnas Minor, Baton Rouge, and Harry Minor, St. Francisville. Preceded in death by her mother and father, Kate and Jimmy Wilkinson; husband, Vandy Jones; and a son, Samuel Hampton. Pallbearers will be family members. KNEPPER, ROBERT DEE
A retired electrician with BASF Wyandotte and a resident of Prairieville, he died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at 9:42 p.m. at Baton Rouge General Medical Center after a long illness. He was 64 and a native of Kinsman, Ohio. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force and the National Guard. Survived by his wife, Carolyn Corkern Knepper, Prairieville; two sons, Michael Knepper, Prairieville, and Robin Knepper, Hagersville, Md.; four sisters, Carolyn Reakes, Somerset, Texas , and Joyce Reckart, Margaret Dellinger and Kathy McCallen, all of Warren, Ohio; and a dear friend, Charles McGill, Kinsman. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Lena Knepper; a brother, Claire Gilbert; and a sister, Patricia McGill. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Prairieville. His body was donated to science. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, La. 42 and Jefferson Highway, Prairieville.
