ST. ROSE - Doretha Johnson Taylor , 82, a native of Good Hope and resident of St. Rose, died Dec. 2, 2002. She was the wife of Edward Taylor and mother of Gloria Brown and Emeria, Jacqueline, Lawrence, Karl and the late Edward Jr. and Edward Calvin Taylor .

She was also the daughter of the late Samuel and Viola Johnson and Odelia and Charlie Cooper and sister of Neotha Norris, Hattie Parquet, Beatrice Cheri, Viola Wilson and Lawrence and the late Samuel, Pleasant and Geraldine Johnson .

She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Fifth African Baptist Church, St. Rose, with interment at St. Rose Cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

AUBERT
ST. JAMES - Roland A. Aubert, 74, a native and resident of St. James, died May 20, 2002.

He was the husband of Helen Mitchell Aubert and father of Madeline Gex and Melissa Aubert.

He was the son of the late Symphorien "Dago" and Beulah Rome Aubert, stepson of Bernadette Sorrel Aubert and brother of Doris Brown and Marie, Edgar Sr., Herbert and Herman Aubert.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

He was a retired U.S. Navy petty officer first class and a retired security guard for St. James Sugar Co-Op.

Services were May 24 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment at the church cemetery.

CAILLET
LULING - Odell Francis Caillet, a native of Killona and resident of Luling, died May 19, 2002. He was the husband of Jeanne Brou Caillet and father of Mary-Joan Smith and the late Edward Caillet.

He was the son of the late Cycil Sr. and Denise Waguespack Caillet and brother of Helene Baudouin, Shirley Lambert, Muriel Foxworth, Cycil Caillet Jr. and the late Leola Madere, Lois Baudouin, Florence Madere, Hazel Millet and Paul Caillet.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were May 22 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Luling, with interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.

JACKSON
GARYVILLE - Anthony "Pluckeye" Jackson , 67, a native of Garyville and resident of Bridge City for many years, died May 20, 2002. He was the husband of Ethel White Jackson .

He was the son of Henrietta Jackson and the late Ezekiel Jackson Sr. and brother of Patricia Whitlock and Delphine, Carolyn, Ezekiel Jr., Roland, Howard, Colbert, Errol, Calvin and the late Alvin and Donald Ray Jackson .

He served as a basic airman in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired merchant seaman.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at True Light Baptist Church, Garyville, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.

LUMAR
EDGARD - Joseph Harold "T-Joe" Lumar Sr., 61, a native of Edgard and resident of Pasadena, Calif., died May 3, 2002. He was the father of Joseph Lumar Jr.

He was the brother of Leona Gibson, Dorothy Gaines, Lucille Gauthier, Loretta Brignac and Raymond Sr. and Wilbert Lumar Sr.

Graveside services were May 21 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard.

ST. AMANT
EDGARD - Marshall Joseph "Uncle Boy" St. Amant Jr., 71, a native of New Roads and resident of Lucy for 37 years, died May 18, 2002. He was the husband of Bessie Darensbourg St. Amant and father of Trina Favorite and Marshall St. Amant III.

He was the son of the late Marshall Sr. and Tessie Jeanpierre St. Amant and brother of Sister Mary Theresa, Vera Leche and Nora St. Amant.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

WRIGHT
NEW ORLEANS - Zerina "Aunt Bluthe" Antonio-Wright, 99, a native of Edgard and resident of New Orleans for 90 years, died May 19, 2002. She was the wife of the late Daniel Wright Jr. and mother of Noilie Wright and Rosie Wright-Francis.

She was the daughter of the late John and Josephine August Antonio and sister of Irma Antonio and the late Iona Francis, Olga Andrew, Gladys Narcisse, Alice Vincent and Golbe and Joseph Antonio.

She is also survived by three grandchildren.

She was eight days from her 100th birthday. She was a retired supervisor with the "President" steamship.

Services were May 23 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at St. Roch No. 2 Cemetery, New Orleans.

AMOS

NEW ORLEANS - Evelyn Thomas Amos, 93, a native of Boutte and lifelong resident of New Orleans, died July 20, 2002. She was the mother of Melvin Wilson, Shelly Amos and Renette Earin.

She was also the sister of Ernestine Thomas.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services were July 26 at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Holt Cemetery, New Orleans.

BERTRAND

LAPLACE - Sondra Nell Roberds Bertrand, 60, a native of Leachville, Ark., and resident of LaPlace for 30 years, died July 23, 2002. She was the wife of Jim Bertrand and mother of Selena Labat and Brian Bertrand.

She was also the daughter of the late Lee and Oga Roberds and sister of Priscilla Sain, Kathryn Downing and Darryel Roberds.

She is also survived by three grandchildren.

Memorial services were July 25 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace.

BIENVENU

PAULINA - Bridget Laiche Bienvenu, 86, a native of Paulina and resident of Lutcher, died July 23, 2002. She was the wife of the late Onell Bienvenu.

She was also the daughter of the late Heno Sr. and Julie Decreaux Laiche and sister of Mable Vicknair, Audrey Prudhomme, Joyce Duhe, Vivian Borne, Heno Laiche Jr. and the late Enola Byrd, Cecile Bourgeois and Herbert, Lloyd and Norris Laiche.

Services were July 26 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.
