METAIRIE - Irma Petrolia Currera, 77, a native of St. Rose and resident of Kenner, died Sept. 18, 2002. She was the mother of Michael and Kris Currera.
She was the sister of Betty Stern and Noelie Carpenter.
She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 21 at Lake Lawn Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Lake Lawn Park, Metairie.

GUERET
RESERVE - Glenn "Tony" Gueret Jr., 17, a native of Reserve and resident of Alabama, died Sept. 22, 2002. He was the son of Glenn Gueret Sr. and Donna Landry and brother of Brandon Landry and Angie and Amy Cambre.
He was the grandson of Maurice Landry and the late Verna Landry and Charles and Winnie Gueret.
Services were Sept. 24 at Millet Guidry Funeral Home with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

KIRKLIN
PAULINA - Mildred Albert Kirklin, 76, a native of Hester, former resident of New Orleans and resident of Lutcher, died Sept. 15, 2002. She was the wife of the late Joseph Kirklin and mother of Nelson and the late Leory and Phillip Kirklin.
She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Victoria Russell Albert, stepdaughter of Mary Albert and sister of Roosevelt and the late James and George Albert.
She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 21 at Evergreen Baptist Church, Paulina, with interment at Antioch Cemetery, Paulina.

MONTELIUS
MARRERO - Frances Miano Montelius, 76, a native of Garyville and resident of Marrero, died Sept. 19, 2002. She was the wife of Gilbert Montelius Sr. and the mother of Frank Borne Sr. and Susan and Wayne Montelius Sr.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Sancetta Miano and sister of Rosemary Giardina and Joseph and Frank and the late Sam Miano.
She is also survived by three grandchildren.
A memorial service was Sept. 21 at Mothe Funeral Home, Marrero, with private interment.

SCHEXNAYDER
LULING - Agatha Champagne Schexnayder, 93, a native and resident of Hahnville, died Sept. 21, 2002. She was the wife of the late O.J. Schexnayder and mother of Louis Schexnayder Sr. and the late Wesley and Wayne Schexnayder Sr.
She was the sister of Amelle Madere, Marian Zeringue, Joan Champagne.
She is survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 24 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville, with interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.

SCIONEAUX
ST. JAMES - Felonise "Madear" Scioneaux, 71, a native and resident of St. James, died Sept. 19, 2002. She was the wife of Joseph Scioneaux and the mother of Mavis Prestley, Joanne Jasmin, Debbie Stieb and Susan, Kalvin, Donald and Kenneth Scioneaux.
She was the daughter of the late Romalis and Octavia Mayho and sister of Myrtle Weber and Matthew Mayho. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 24 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment at the church cemetery.

TURNER
EDGARD - Telma Turner, 73, a native and resident of Edgard, died Sept. 21, 2002. She was the wife of the late Felton Turner and the mother of Gwendolyn Mitchell, Sheila Jones and Alvin, Gerald, Calvin, Reginald, Ronnie and Wade Turner.
She was the daughter of the late Willis Sr. and Semonia Young and Alma Lumar and sister of Lilly Johnson , Brenetta Dunmiles, Mildred Samuel, Willis Jr. and Alfred Young, Luther and Shirley Mason, Anderson, Harold, Darrell and Morris Lumar and the late Lucille Favorite.
Service were Sept. 24 at Greater New St. Peter Baptist Church, Edgard, with interment at Young Cemetery, Edgard.

BORDELON
NEW ORLEANS - Irene Chatelain Bordelon, 77, a native of Mansura and resident of LaPlace for 23 years, died Jan. 25, 2003. She was the wife of Marvin Bordelon and mother of Priscilla Bertucci, Butch and Gary Bordelon.

She was the daughter of the late Laura Roach and Marion Chatelain and sister of Betty Robinson and Robert Chatelain.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 27 in the chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Garden of Memories.

BRIGNAC
METAIRIE - Florence Duhe Brignac, 75, a native of Reserve and resident of Kenner, died Jan. 24, 2003. She was the wife of the late Jessie Brignac and mother of Tavi Benjamin and John Jeffrey Brignac.

She was the daughter of the late Cyriaque and Florence Duhe and sister of Patricia Arceneaux and the late Carol Champagne and John Richard Duhe.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 28 in the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Reserve.

BROWN
NEW ORLEANS - Shirley Mae Brown, 75, a native of St. James and resident of New Orleans for many years, died Jan. 20, 2003. She was the mother of Deidrea Wilson, Walterine Thompson, Emily Clayton and Hannah Price and adopted mother of Johnny Green and Edward and Walter Ventress Jr.

She was the sister of Elouise Jones, Ruth Davis, Eunice Johnson , Valerie Bailey, Leah Callens, Yvonne Van Court and Wilfred Brown.

Services were Jan. 28 in the chapel of D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.

HOWARD
HAHNVILLE - Arthur "Big June" Howard Jr., 49, a native and resident of Killona, died Jan. 16, 2003. He was the companion of Ceola Cannon Lumar, father of Ashley Howard and stepfather of Aaron Wilson Jr. and Dwayne and Jermaine Lumar.

He was the brother of Carrin Perry and Nathan, Clifford, Irvin, Arnold, Virgil, Eric and Daniel Howard and stepbrother of Earl Jasmin.

He is also survived by his grandmother, Viola Lucas Campbell.

Services were Jan. 25 at Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church, Hahnville, with interment at Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, Boutte.

MASON
RESERVE - Louis Mason, 70, a native of Reserve and resident of Lutcher, died Jan. 18, 2003. He was the husband of Hattie Meredith Mason, father of Karen Banks, Pamela Lennix, Verenise Simoneaux and Kim Parquet, adopted father of Allen, Warren and TaShana Mason and foster-father of Nasha Wilson and Charles and James Jones.

He was the brother of Audrey Grover and Jo-Ann, Roland, Henry, Royal, Raymond, Michael, Alvin, Alexander, Peter Jr. and Adam Mason.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was a retired forklift operator with Filter-Media.

Services were Jan. 25 at Beechgrove Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

MITCHELL
PAULINA - Constance Vallery-Mitchell, 42, a native of Convent and resident of New Sarpy, died Jan. 23, 2003. She was the wife of Charles E. Mitchell and mother of Jevon Vallery.

She was the daughter of Jake Scott and Audrey Stewart and sister of Trinette, Janice, Sheilka, Cynthia, Rhea and Lance Vallery.

She is also survived by one grandchild.

She was a nursing student.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Paulina, with interment at Antioch Cemetery, Paulina. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

ORDENEAUX
GRAMERCY - Hudson August "The Can Man" Ordeneaux, 74, a native of Gramercy and resident of Kenner, died Jan. 22, 2003. He was the husband of 46 years of Shirley Braud Ordeneaux and father of Odette Jennings, Adela Uli, Blanche Rico and Jason Ordeneaux.

He was the son of the late Andre and Adela Louque Ordeneaux and brother of Alice Ordeneaux.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the St. Jerome Knights of Columbus.

Services were Jan. 27 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary.
