Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with Order of the Eastern Star services at 6:30 p.m. and Masonic services at 7 p.m. Visiting in the funeral home chapel from 10 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Troy Chiek. interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Eulalia Cambre Porter; a daughter and son-in-law, Robbie and Ronald Russell; a son, Oscar Robert Porter Jr.; six grandchildren, Dewey Lee Jr., Sherry Evans, Marla Lee, Joseph Porter, Jeffery Porter and Jaime Porter; and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph J. and Maggie Heath Porter; a grandson, David Brian Lee; four sisters and a brother. He was a member of Capitol Masonic Lodge 399, Scottish Rite Consistory, Acacia Shrine Temple, Al Azar Grotto, and Baton Rouge Chapter 163 and Myrtle Celeste Chapter 231 of Order of the Eastern Star.

REULET, JOSEPHINE MARIE STEIB "JO"
A loving mother and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Vacherie. She died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at her home. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. Service arrangements are pending for Friday. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her husband of 54 years, John A. Reulet Sr.; a sister, Etienette Becnel of Luling; two brothers, Prudent Steib and Albert Steib, both of Vacherie; two sons, Charles R. Reulet Sr. and John A. Reulet Jr., both of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Joan Burkett and Carole Reulet, both of Baton Rouge, and Ellen Hingle of Fairplay, Ky.; two sons-in-law, Charles Burkett of Baton Rouge and Stephen Hingle of Fairplay; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Etienne and Elizabeth Steib; and three brothers, Adolph, Berris and Rene Steib. She was a longtime member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, East Baton Rouge Extension Homemaker's Council, Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzhiemer's Services Research, 2041 Silverside Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70808.

STOUT, JR. CHESTER B.
Passed away at 6:22 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Forum Health Trumbell Hospital, Niles, Ohio. He was born May 31, 1918, in Jackson ville, Texas , the son of Chester B. Sr. and Bessie Smith Stout. He was curator of the McKinley Library in Niles from 1969 until retirement in 1992. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served from 1937 to 1960. He was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, a Masonic lodge, Shriners, Kiwanis Club, Fleet Reserve Association, National Education Association, American Library Association and Ohio Library Association. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Carradine Stout; a daughter, Sandra Plevyak, Niles; a son, Chester B. Stout III, Granada Hills, Calif.; and three grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Wayne Stout. Graveside services at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at 2 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.

TRAYLOR, JR. JOHN GARRISON
A 16-year veteran of the U.S. Army and a resident and native of Springfield, he died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at his home. He was 33. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bayou Barbary, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Thursday. Military graveside services in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Martina Lassak Traylor, Springfield; a son, John Garrison Traylor III, Springfield; father and mother, John and Carolyn Traylor, Springfield; mother, Ruth Pendergrass, Saline; eight sisters, Laverne Jones, Elizabeth Sharp and Melanie Kinchen, all of Springfield, Johnnette Price, Amy Pendergrass and Julie Cash, all of Saline, Lisa Kluka, Springfield, and Debra Thomas, Saline; three brothers, Carl Coxe and Dennis Traylor, both of Springfield, and Boris Castillo, Guatemala; and maternal grandfather, James Mattison, Springfield. Preceded in death by a brother, Mickey Coxe; a nephew, Jake Kinchen; maternal grandmother, Mary Helen Mattison; grandmother, Mary Ratcliff; and grandparents, Lee and Margie Traylor.

WILLIAMS, FRANK "FRANKIE"
A retired educator and a resident and native of Baton Rouge, he died at 4:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2001. He was 73. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., from 5 p.m. until wake services at 7 p.m. Thursday. Omega services at Mount Zion First Baptist Church from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, followed by religious services, conducted by the Rev. T.J. Jemison. interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by a daughter, Patrysha Williams Phillips, Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Phillip Sheridan Robinson III, Kayrisha Sadé Phillips and Taynisha Victoria Phillips, all of Baton Rouge; and a son-in-law, Victor Phillips, Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Cornelia Williams; wife, Dorothy Roberson Williams; three brothers, Freddie Williams Sr., Sidney Williams and Cleveland Williams; and a nephew, Freddie Williams Jr. He was a member of Beta Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

WOODS, SUSIE FREEMON
A resident of Brusly, she died at 2:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at her home. Visiting at Hall's Mortuary, Port Allen, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday. Visiting at Mount Olive Baptist Church from 5 p.m. until religious services at 7 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Leo Nelson. Survived by her husband, Raymond Woods Sr.; three daughters, Mary Henderson, Brenda Phillips and Linda Metevia; two sons, Raymond Woods Jr. and Carl Woods Sr.; two sisters, Rebecca Matthews and Lillie Lee Washington ; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

AARON, LUELLA DELACEY MCMURRY
Went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at 8:30 p.m. at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. She was 90, born Dec. 6, 1910, in Colfax, a resident of Pride and a former resident of Gloster, Miss. She was a retired school teacher. She taught English and various subjects in Hinds County, Miss., public schools. She also was the librarian and taught English at Gloster High School, Gloster, from 1956 to 1968. She then taught Eng-lish at Pine Hills Academy, Gloster, from 1969 until she re-tired in 1972. She received a bachelor of science degree in Eng-lish from Millsaps College in Jack-son, Miss., and a master's degree in library science from LSU. Sur-vived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Edna C. Aaron, Liberty, Miss., Phyllis Daves and her hus-band, Neal Daves of Pride; two granddaughters, Paula Dupuy and her husband, Chris Dupuy of Por-ter, Texas , Carla Eppinett and her husband, Ron Eppinett of Liberty; three great-grandchildren, Ronald Daren Eppinett, Summer Eppinett and Desireé Eppinett. She was awaiting the birth of a future great-grandchild, Aaron Bryce Dupuy, on Sept. 21, 2001. Also sur-vived by a niece, Mary Dykes Ter-rel and her husband, Jerry Terrel of Orlando, Fla.; two nephews, James Fortenberry and his wife, Linda Fortenberry of Brookhaven, Miss., and George McMurry Jr. and family; and two sisters-in-law, Grace and Marky McMurry, both of Jackson , Miss. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John P. Aaron; three brothers, George McMurry, John R. McMurry and an infant brother; and a sister, Ethel Dykes. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church, Pride. Visiting at Brown Funeral Home, Gloster, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and in the chapel from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday, con-ducted by the Rev. Ron Lowery. interment in Zion Hill Cemetery, Liberty.

BERMUDEZ, SR. DELFIN
Died in the Philippines on Wednesday, June 20, 2001. He was 90, born in the Philippines, resided in Seattle, Wash., for many years and was also a resident of Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catalina Bermudez; his brothers, Casimiro and Ignacio Bermudez; and his stepbrother, Cayetano C. Catura. He is sur-vived by his children, May A. Bermudez of Bethesda, Md., Vilma B. Bayani of Tampa, Fla., Mar-celita A. Bermudez, M.D., of Baton Rouge, and Delfin Bermudez II of Mercer Island, Wash.; and by his grandchildren, Nerissa B. Alford of Beallsville, Md., Delfin Jaysen III of Seattle, Estrellita Bermudez of Baton Rouge, Alexis, Anthony and James Bayani of Tampa, and Zahn and Zerina Bermudez of Mercer Island, Wash. Private services will be held at St. Thomas More Church and will be officiated by the Rev. Jerry Martin. Inter-ment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

BICKFORD, LARRY EDWARD
A native and resident of Natal-bany, he died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at Medical Center of Louisi-ana at New Orleans. He was 47. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and in the chapel from 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Saturday. In-terment in Loranger Community Cemetery. Survived by his par-ents, Walter "Boe" and Mickey Powell Bickford, Natalbany; a brother, Dennis Bickford, Natal-bany; a sister, Zandra Bickford Stewart, Loranger; two nephews and five nieces. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Percy and Clara Bickford and Willie and Lelia Powell; and a brother, Jesse Wayne Bickford. He was a gradu-ate of Independence High School and of Local 198 Pipefitting School.

BROWN-PRICE, CREOLA SCHUTZ "NEEN"
A retired domestic and certified sitter, she died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, July 29, 2001, at her sister's home. She was 83 and a resident and na-tive of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Elm Grove Baptist Church, 1069 N. 38th St., from 5 p.m. Sunday un-til religious services at 7 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Errol Dom-ingue. Dismissal at 10 a.m. Mon-day. interment in Gilbert Memo-rial Park. Survived by a son, Dr. Harold A. Brown; a devoted daughter-in-law, Rose G. Brown; a sister, Elise Turner; a devoted friend, Rita B. Matthews; six granddaughters, April H. Woods , Raquel M. Woods , Danita B. Pidg-eon, Dallas, Ikesha Russell, Ber-nadette Brown and Tonya Brown; a grandson, Kirk Anthony, Los Angeles; and 10 great-grandchil-dren. Preceded in death by her mother, Ella Butler; husband, D.J. Price; two daughters, Rita P. Rus-sell and Marva B. Green; two sons, Melvin and James Brown; and an aunt, Elnora Percy. Winnfield Fu-neral Home in charge of arrange-ments.

CARPENTER, WILLARD "BILL"
A resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at his residence. He was 89 and a native of Central. He was a retired pipefitter with Exxon with 33 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, Baker, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. Visiting at Zoar Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Friday, con-ducted by the Rev. Glen Miers and the Rev. Kevin Hand. interment in the church cemetery. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Josie Carpen-ter; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Jack Mullen, Baker, Melanie and Jerry Thompson, Charlotte, N.C.; a son and a daugh-ter-in-law, Acy and Barbara Whitehead, Baton Rouge; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Camille Kennard, Ethel and Claude Watts and Annie "Dubbie" and Leroy Whitehead; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Willie "Johnny" and Jean Carpenter and Polly Sandiefer, Baton Rouge; spe-cial friends, Curtis and Jaime Ste-ven; four grandchildren, Rhett and Ashley Thompson, Jimmy White -head and Susan Swim; and five great-grandchildren. CASEMORE, VIRGIL GEORGE "CASEY"
A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Kansas City, Kan., he died at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at 7:40 p.m. He was born Dec. 3, 1911. He was founder of Casey's Furniture and Appliances in 1946 and Town and Country Furniture in 1956. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Saturday. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruby Lemoine Casemore, sons and a daughter-in-law, Damon and Joan Croissant Casemore, Gary George Casemore and Jackie de Vargas Casemore; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Kirk Brown, Patricia and Gary Green, Sue Casemore and Alene Casemore, all of Baton Rouge; sis-ters, Ladene Mowen of Mandeville, Bonnie Jung of Baton Rouge and Peggy and George Wil-hilm of Irmo, S.C.; 14 grandchil-dren, Kirk and Julia Waggenspack Casemore, Janice and Butch Bar-rilleaux, Corinne and Billy Long, Donna and Wyatt Chestee, Peggy and Calvin Watts, Carol and David Rousseau, Dustin and Heather Brown, Casey and Keith McDow-ell, Julia Casemore, Brian Casemore, Mark and Kristin Casemore, Kelley Green, Shayne Green and Hunter Green; and 14 great-grandchildren. CORRENT, LENA GERAGE
A resident of Assisi Village Apartments, she died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at 9:30 a.m. at Baton Rouge General Medical Center in the presence of friends and family She is survived by her husband, Peter J. Corrent; two daughters, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and the children and spouses of her deceased sister and brother, Annie Gerage Comeaux, who was from Plaquemine, and John Gerage, who was from New Orleans. Miss Lena was born in Maringouin on April 1, 1920, and was a resident of Plaquemine before moving to Ba-ton Rouge 10 years ago. She was an inspiration and a joy to all who knew her, even through grave ill-ness. Her accomplishments and achievements are far too numer-ous to articulate. She and the ab-sence of her presence will be greatly missed by her family and community. Visiting at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 1 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. Friday, celebrated by the Rev. Vic. Messina. Entombment in Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum, Plaquemine. A resident of Ventress, he died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, at Pointe Coupee General Hospital, New Roads. He was 73 and a native of Jarreau. He was retired from New Roads Motors with 38 years of service. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, from 6 p.m. to 9 pm. Fri-day, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Sat-urday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, celebrated by the Rev. Michael Schatzle. interment in False River Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Mae M. David, Ventress; three daughters, Judy Ann Glaser, Kokomo, Miss., Cynthia D. Huguet, Fordoche, and Sandra Anne Wiley, Baton Rouge; four grandchildren, Shannon Lynn, Jason Wayne and Matthew Ryan Barbay and Joshua Glaser; and a great-granddaughter, Kailin Michelle Beach. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alvin David. He was a member of Woodmen of the World Clay Camp 271.
