Religious services at New Beachgrove Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Joseph Armstrong. interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Diane Green; mother, Alberta Jones; two daughters, Alberta and Lakela Collins; eight sons, LaKron, Lonterio, Naquel, Antonius, John, Gregory, John and James; four sisters, Ethel Davis, Ella Armstrong, Lucille Armstrong and Jaqueline Robinson; six brothers, Joseph Armstrong, Tanner Jr., Grammer, Isreal, Jackson and David Green; 32 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Tanner Green Sr.; a son, Carl Coleman; a stepson, Curtis Doss; a brother, George Green; and maternal and paternal grandparents. Winnfield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

HOLLOWAY, ZELMA JEAN PIERCE
A retired AT&T employee with 21 years of service and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 71 and a native of Kentwood. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Religious services at Florida Boulevard Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Saturday, conducted by Dr. Dennis Johnsey. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two daughters, Ginger Darlene Chism and Darla Jean Wells; two sons, Donald Devon Wood and Daryl Gene Wood; a sister, Helen Courtney, Louisville, Ky.; a brother, Ray Pierce, Monroe; and a grandchild, Taylor Wells. Preceded in death by parents, Devon and Aner Pierce; and a brother, Troy Pierce. She was a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church and Telephone Pioneers of America.

JOHNSON, LILLIE A.
A retired employee of East Baton Rouge Parish School Board, she died at 6:40 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at Woman’s Hospital. She was a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rhodes United Fidelity Funeral Home, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Visiting at Shiloh Baptist Church, 5 p.m. until religious services from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Charles T. Smith. Dismissal at 10 a.m. Saturday. interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Carl J. Sr. and Deborah Johnson , Zachary; a sister, Rosa A. Beshears, Baton Rouge; two brothers, Johnnie and Eugene Angrum, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and three grandchildren, Keisha, Carl and Tracy Johnson , all of Zachary. Preceded in death by her husband, Iveary Johnson ; parents, five brothers and three sisters. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and Senior Choir.

JONES, EASTER
A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 83 and a native of Greenwood. Visiting at Miller & Daughter Mortuary, Zachary, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Religious services at New Hollywood Baptist Church at noon Saturday, conducted by the Rev. George Norflin. interment in church cemetery. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosa and Walter Hall and Lora and Spencer Haynes, all of Baton Rouge; five sons and daughters-in-law, Wilson and Thelma Jones, Joseph N. and Nettie Jones, Mitchell and Joyce Jones and Louis and Geraldine Jones, all of Baton Rouge, and Howard and Willie Mae Jones, Baker; a sister, Carrie Sterling, Baton Rouge; 30 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, including Ailean Woods , St. Francisville, and Annie Bell Williams; nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by husband, David Jones; parents Bynum Sr. and Matilda Norflin; two sons, Wallace and William Jones; four brothers, Byron Norflin Jr., Jesse Sterling, John Ruth and Adam Hillard; and three grandsons.

JOSEPH, TANOS
Former owner of Joseph’s Super Market and a resident of Franklin, he died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at his home. He was 96 and a native of Baalbeck, Lebanon. He was an organizer of I.G. Food Stores, first president of Louisiana Retail Food Dealers Association, a civic and fraternal leader, appointed honorary Louisiana attorney general on two occasions and was an honorary Louisiana senator as well as numerous other accomplishments. Recitation of the rosary at Ibert’s Mortuary chapel, Franklin, at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by visitation until 9 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at Church of the Assumption at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Michael Russo. interment in Franklin Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kennedy (Doris) J. Dugas Sr. and Mrs. William (Marguerite) A. Anderson Jr., both of Franklin; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Adele John Joseph; a daughter, Mary Ann Joseph Prevost; father, John Joseph; mother, Mary Karam Joseph; a brother, Saseen J. Joseph; and two sisters, Doris Barbara Joseph and Mathile Joseph. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to St. John-Hanson Capital Campaign, 924 Main St., Franklin LA 70538.

KELLER, LILLIAN HUTTON
A homemaker and a resident and native of Baton Rouge, she died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at her home. She was 89. Graveside services at Greenoaks Memorial Park at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by Gary Rayburn. Survived by a son, John H. Keller III and his wife, Brenda; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, John H. Keller Jr. Welsh Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

LANDRY, MILTON JOSEPH "MOON"
A retired employee of Shell Oil Co., Norco, with many years of service, he died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at his home in Lutcher. He was 82 and a native of Lutcher. Visiting was at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 2208 Jefferson Highway, Lutcher, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday. Visiting at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday. Relatives, friends of the family and employees of Shell Oil Co. are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, at 10 a.m. Friday. Entombment in St. Joseph Mausoleum. He was the beloved husband of the late Mabel Richard Landry; father of James Landry, Betty Duhe and the late Vera Heltz; father-in-law of Gilbert "Gilly" Duhe; grandfather of Paul, Don and Ricky Oubre, Donna Naquin, Darrin Heltz, Patty Brock, Jane "Shoo Shoo" Bourgeois and Jan Englade; brother of Estelle Millet and the late Arthur Landry; and survived by 11 great-grandchildren. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 1817. In lieu of flowers, the family requests enrollment of Masses or memorial donations to Cancer Services of St. James, 1899 George St., Lutcher LA 70071.

LEBLANC, MERCEDES BRAUD
A native and resident of Convent, she died at 3:31 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 83. Visiting at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Convent, from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Mario Rizuto. Burial in the church cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Jacqueline LeBlanc Folse, Convent; a son, Lawrence "Dickie" LeBlanc , LaPlace; a sister, Eunice Braud DeCuire, Baton Rouge; two brothers, Jules and Horace Braud, both of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren, Maj. Eldred Folse, U.S. Air Force, Cheryl Folse, Metairie, Melanie Folse, Chandler, Ariz., Kelly Folse, Lafayette, and René Garetino, Gilbert, Ariz.; three great-grandchildren, Michael and Lauren Folse and Avery Headley; a son-in-law, Earl Folse; a daughter-in-law, Paulette Taylor LeBlanc ; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Gaston Braud and Beatrice Dave Braud; husband, Kelly LeBlanc Sr.; a son, Kelly "Sonny" LeBlanc Jr.; three sisters, Gladys Veret, Marie Patin and Iona Key; a brother, Wesley Braud; and stepmother, Eola Braud. Brazier-Watson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

MATTHEWS, ERMA B.
A native and resident of Ethel, she died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at her home. She was 84. Visiting at Evergreen Baptist Church, Ethel, from 9 a.m. Saturday until religious services at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Morris Jackson . interment in St. Mark Cemetery, Ethel. Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Alice and Oliver Miles, New Orleans, and Brenda Matthews, Ethel; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Matthews, Ethel; a godchild, Essie McCray, Plaquemine; four stepsisters; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Progressive Chapter No. 186. Arrangements are entrusted to Richardson Funeral Home, Clinton.

MCINTYRE, ANN FAUST
The Lord God sent His angels for her on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999. She died peacefully at home. She was a native of Albany, a resident of Springfield and retired from the state of Louisiana as a nurse. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Golden Age Club, Pineview Homemakers Club, a foster grandmother at Springfield Elementary School, charter member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 258 and a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Kermit A. McIntyre; a daughter, Patricia A. McIntyre, Brookhaven, Miss.; a son, Alden W. McIntyre, Springfield; four grandsons, Keith Barnes, Thomasville, Ga., Kenneth Barnes, Baker, Rick Barnes, Crystal Springs, Miss., and Jay McIntyre, Springfield; five great-grandchildren, Leah, Randy and Jamie Barnes, all of Springfield, and Wesley and Chereé Barnes, Thomasville; two brothers, Lee and Leroy Faust; and five sisters, Nell Anderson, Stella Goodspeed, Estelle Glynn, Willie Fleniken and Eloise Tate. Preceded in death by a grandson, Randy Barnes Sr.; two sisters, Velma Carpentar and Amy Voss; and a brother, L.A. Faust. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at the funeral home at noon Saturday, conducted by the Rev. MULLIGAN, PATRICIA EILEEN
A resident of Denham Springs area for many years, she died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999. She was 44, a native of Covington and former resident of Baton Rouge. She was the beloved daughter of Gloria Webb Mulligan and the late Dr. Raymond F. Mulligan Jr.; sister of Raymond F. Mulligan III, Thomas J. Mulligan, Michael W. Mulligan and Barbara A. Mulligan; sister-in-law of Terrie and Julie Mulligan; and is survived by six nephews and a niece. Visitation at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the services at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday. Memorial services at Summit Hospital meditation room at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. A homemaker and resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 5:21 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 70 and a native of Lake Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 3 p.m. Friday, celebrated by the Rev. John Pappu. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Julia Odom Olinde and Daryl Olinde, Natchez, Miss.; a sister, Mary E. Sinclair, and her friend, L.B. Hanna, Baton Rouge; four grandchildren and spouses, Michelle and Chris Sturdivant, Shreveport, Brad Olinde, Natchez, Brian and Betty Olinde and Tiffany and Jason Clark, all of Baton Rouge; and two great-grandchildren, Dayton Kolby Clark and William Rossie Olinde. Preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, William Joseph Odom; parents, Charles F. Moore and Lilly Rodriguez Moore; and a brother, Harold Joseph Landry. RYDER, JOYCE WELCH
A retired employee of Dixie Electric Membership Corp. and a resident of Baton Rouge, she went peacefully in her home at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999. She was 71 and a native of Whiteville. Visiting was at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Friday, celebrated by the Rev. Jon Koehler. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Freddie Ryder of Baton Rouge; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Joyce Ryder of St. Francisville and Don and Karen Ryder of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Scott Ryder and Geli Ryder, both of Baton Rouge and Tim Ryder of Greenwood. Preceded in death by her parents, Thadeus and Hattie Foret Welch; and a brother, T.C. Welch. SHOCKLEY, LILLIE OREE
A homemaker and a resident and native of Baton Rouge, she died at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Summit Hospital. She was 87. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Visiting at Life Tabernacle Prayer Garden, 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. B.A. Spell. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two daughters, Marlene Smith and Rebecca Shockley; two sisters, Ethel Smith and Levetta Harvard; two brothers, Otis Merritt and Jack Merritt; nine grandchildren, Bobby, Donald, Jerry and John Williamson, Barbara Moore, Beverly Mann, Betty Boyd, Debra Boothe and David Toth; and 24 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Eli Shockley; a daughter, Murrell Williamson; and two grandsons, Billy Smith and Daniel Williamson.
