DUPEPE
UNION - Clement Andrew "BeBe" Dupepe, 78, a native and resident of Union, died Jan. 20, 2004. He was the son of the late Fernand Sr. and Julie Mire Dupepe, and brother of Rosalie Porta, Shirley Louviere, and half-brother of Shirley Young, and the late Barbara, Mercedes and Fernand Dupepe Jr.

Services were Jan. 22 at St. Mary's Chapel, Union, with interment at the church cemetery.

FIELD
METAIRIE - Michael Thomas Field, 42, a native of New Orleans and resident of St. Rose, died Jan. 17, 2004. He was the son of John and Agnes Ratcliff Field and brother of David Field.

Services were Jan. 22 in the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Metairie.

HAYDEL
EDGARD - Warren Haydel, 75, a native of Edgard and resident of Hahnville, died Jan. 20, 2004.

He was the husband of Annette Joseph by first marriage and of the late Isabella K. Haydel by second marriage, and father of Terry Moore, Claudette Favorite, Melinda Edwards, Judy Bastian and Edna Harris.

He was also the brother of Eunice Smith, Ernestine Mills and Julia Ellis.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 34 step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

He was a retired laborer at Avondale Shipyards.

Services are today at noon at Second African Baptist Church, Edgard, with interment at Young Cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

KINDRICK
EDGARD - Robert Malcolm "Big Bob" Kindrick, 60, a native and resident of Edgard, died Jan. 20, 2004.

He was the devoted friend of the late Carolyn Julien, and father of Leanders Lewis and guardian of Connie, Patrick, Sharon, Leslie, LaToya and Lydell Julien.

He was also the son of the late Douglas and Wilhelmine Kindrick, and brother of Wilhelmine Bailey, Deola Ellis, Diana Mitchell, Ilha, Glynn, Verdell, Jimmy and Laura Kindrick.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

McMILLAN
NORCO - Calvin C. McMillan, 79, a resident of Norco, died Jan. 20, 2004.

He was the husband of Corinne Keller McMillan and father of Cynthia Landry and Laura Lee Savage.

He was also the brother of JoAnn Rush and Nancy Trisdal.

He is also survived by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was a Korean Conflict veteran, and a member of American Legion Post 195 and the Saints Touchdown Club.

Services were Jan. 22 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, with interment at Garden of Memories, Metairie.

ROUSSEL
PAULINA - DeAnna Mae Roussel, 54, a native of Gonzales and resident of Lutcher, died Jan. 21, 2004.

She was the wife of Hennis Roussel and mother of Julie Gilbert, Hennis Jr., Jeffrey, Brian and Craig Roussel.

She was also the daughter of Tony and Barbara Cantillo and sister of Mona Moran, Peggy Ortego, Colleen Little, Deidre Detillier, Stacey Brignac, Chantel Herron and Randy Brignac.

Services were Jan. 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.

DUMAS
VACHERIE - Mary Esther Saul Dumas, 70, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Feb. 7, 2004. She was the wife of the late Bernard Antoine Dumas Sr., and mother of Trudy Steib, Geralyn Banford, Stacey Efird, Myra Allen, Andrea, Bernard Jr., Dwight Sr., Mark and Terrence Dumas, and the late Karen Dumas.

She was also the daughter of the late Etienne Joseph and Irma James Saul.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.

ORY
LAPLACE - Raymond E. Ory, 88, a native of Mt. Airy and a 26-year resident of LaPlace, died Feb. 9, 2004. He was the husband of Claudia Mahier Ory and the father of Kathy Snage, Ronnie, Raymond Jr., Rodney and Burton Ory.

He was also the son of the late Emilien and Louisa Vicknaire' Ory, and brother of Scholastic St. Pierre, Jenny Lemoine, Mable and Ernestine Ory, and the late Eurline Babin, Eva Gayaut and Ida Smith.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 11 at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

Abbate
NORCO - Connie Ann Abbate, 42, a resident of Garyville died Feb. 11, 2004. She is the wife of Peter Abbate Sr., and mother of Peter Abbate Jr., Brad Abbate, Brad Abbate, and Brandie Abbate. She was the sister of Alvin Louque, Donald Louque, Sandra Anslum, Susan Falcon, and Carolyn Rizzuto.

She is survived by one grandchild.

Services were Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Norco. with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.

Jacob
LAPLACE - Madison Nicole Jacob, 6 weeks, a native and resident of LaPlace died Feb. 10, 2004. She was the daughter of Mark and Kim Gros Jacob, the sister of Mark Jacob Jr., and granddaughter of Jessie Gros and the late Diane Gros and Sam Jacob and Mary Lynn Jacob.

Services were Feb. 13 at 12 p.m. at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home. LaPlace with visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with interment at Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale.

Sherman
LAPLACE - Andrew Sherman Jr., 46, a resident of LaPlace died Feb 10, 2004. He was the husband of Suzette Gaudet Sherman and the father of Andrew Sherman, Charmer Pratt, Baishawn Pratt and the late Autumn Sherman.

He was the son of the late Andrew Sherman Sr. and Dorothy Lively Sherman, and brother of Richella Sherman Johnson , Jerry Smith, and the late Harry Sherman.

Sherman was a floor maintenance supervisor for Wal-Mart and a graduate from Francis T. Nichollas High School and Delgado Community College.

He was a former floor maintenance supervisor for Service Master. Services are today at 10 a.m. at New Home Ministries with an interment in Providence Memorial Park, Metairie. Visitation will be today at 9 a.m.
