Lorraine Bourgeois
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in the St. Charles Community for Lorraine Guidry Bourgeois, 91, a native and resident of Raceland who died at 6:05 p.m. Feb. 18, 2002.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time at the church.
Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery
in Raceland.
She was the mother of Carroll “Ping” and Lloyd T. Bourgeois and Linda B. Zeringue; and sister of Davis and Harold Guidry, Bernice Van Gossen, Earline Warthall and Gussie Bealer. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild and one great-great-grandhild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucien Bourgeois; parents, Cyrille and Aimee Gaudet Guidry; and brothers, Herbert and Edwin Guidry.

Marie Callahan
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma for Marie Blanchard Callahan, 74, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Houma who died at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 16, 2002.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
She was the mother of Jackie Badeaux of Houma, Peggy Rosamond of Lafayette, Colo. and Nora M. Callahan of Houma; and sister of Bonner Blanchard of Kentucky and Rena Domangue and Beverly Harbison, both of Houma. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl “Tom” Callahan Sr.; parents, Elgin and Nora Prosperie Blanchard; son, Earl A. “Boby” Callahan Jr.; and brother, Elmer Blanchard Blanchard.
She was Catholic.

Catherine Domangue
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue for Catherine Rita Domangue, 57, a native of Houma and resident of Bayou Blue who died at 6:10 p.m. Feb. 18, 2002.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and from 9 a.m. to funeral time at the church.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
She was the wife of Abbie Joseph Domangue Jr.; mother of Abbie III and Anthony Domangue and Kathy Belanger; and sister of Emile and Roy Foret, Shirley Rogers, Geraldine Richaud, Melanie Kay and Anna Levron. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Willard Sr. and Hazel Olivier Foret; and brother, Jessie Foret Jr.
She was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home parlor in Houma for Chester “Chet” Joseph Green, 40, a native of Houma and resident of Dallas, Texas , who died at 10:45 p.m. Feb. 17, 2002.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery
in Houma.
He was the son of Howard and Juanita Duplantis Green of Houma; brother of Michael Green of Los Angeles, Calif., Paula Green Dion of Houma, Cindy Green Slaughter of Pensacola, Fla., and Becky Lynn Green Pettis of Nashville, Tenn.
He was a systems administrator for Matrix, a division of Beatrice Corp.

Magnus Henry
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph Church in Chauvin for Magnus Joseph Henry, 88, a native and resident of Houma who died at 8:08 a.m. Feb. 18, 2002.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time at the K.C. Hall in Chauvin.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
He was the father of Magnus John, Lindsey, Johnny, Marvin and Eldrin Henry, Ruby Sevin, Lois Foret, Elaine Foret, Joyce Thibodeaux, judy Rodrigue and Diana Rodrigue. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Marie Pellegrin Henry; parents, Clovis and Celeste Domangue Henry; daughter, Inez H. Sargent; brothers, Clovis Henry Jr.; sisters, Celestin Cuneo, Bernice Trosclair; half-brothers, Edgar and Edla Rhodes; and half-sister, Theresa Rhodes.
He served in World War II.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland for Russell Paul Meyer, 58, a native of Raceland and resident of Mandeville who died at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 15, 2002.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time at the church.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
He was the father of Paula Marschik and Tracy Lagman; and half-brother of Barbara Bourgeois. He is also survived by one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Blanche Gaudet Meyer; brother, Larry Meyer; sister, Dorothy Daigle; and half-brothers, Warren, Thomas Jr. and Curren Pitre.
He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time at the church.
Burial will be at Holy Savior Cemetery
in Lockport.
He was the father of Frederick J. Jr. and Theo P. Levert and Theoma Vedros; father-in-law of Delores M. and Teresa K. Levert and Ernest Vedros; and brother of Joseph Levert, Myrtle Guidroz, Doris Toups, Ruthy McWhorter and Sadie Levert. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theoma Guidroz Levert; parents, Edward and Lelia Gaudet Levert; and brother, Philip Levert.
He was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church.
He was a charter member of the Lockport Lions Club and a retired insurance agent for Automotive Life Insurance Co.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville for Peter Andrew Politz, 89, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Baton Rouge who died at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17, 2002.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to funeral time at Landry’s Funeral Home in Napoleonville.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
He was the father of Rose Marie Bourgeois of Baton Rouge and Joe Ann Arnold of Dutchtown; father-in-law of Charles Bourgeois and Glenn Arnold; brother of Lucille Simoneaux, Anthony, Russell and John Politz; brother-in-law of Charles Simoneaux, Kate, Isabelle and Betty Politz; grandfather of Brett, Michael, Mary Catherine and Therese Bourgeois and Angie and B.J. Meche, Beth and Drew Pertuit, Aimee and Robert Stevens and Leah Arnold; and great-grandfather of Chase, Tyler, Cody, Haleigh, Jamie, Dylan and Daniel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Territa Politz; parents, Gaetano and Rosa Macaluso Politz; and sisters, Josie Simoneaux, Mary Landry and Doris Mascarella.
His pallbearers will be Michael Bourgeois, Drew Pertuit, Robert Stevens, B.J. Meche, Anthony Politz and Charles Simoneaux. His honorary pallbearers will be Brett Bourgeois, Russell and John Politz.
“He was dearly loved and cherished by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A gentle and loving man who cared for everyone who touched his life. Paw Paw Peter was a father and grandfather to everyone who knew him and loved him. He will be dearly missed.”
