BILLIE JEAN TERRY THERIOT

Mrs. Billie Jean Terry Theriot, a native of Corsicana, Texas and a resident of Franklin, died Sunday, December 12, 2010, at 5:35 p.m., at her residence after a brief stay under the care of both hospice and family members. She battled a long illness due to kidney problems and undergone operations during the past year due to issues with dialysis.
Mrs. Billie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Isaac Theriot of Franklin; four sons, Randy Gene Broussard and his wife, Deborah, of Tulsa, Oklahoma ; Michael A. Theriot and his wife, Pattie, of Lafayette; Thomas A. Theriot and his wife, Lesha, of Franklin; and Jimmy D. Theriot and his companion, Sandra Champagne, of Franklin; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch Ardron and Fannie Smotherman Terry; and a brother, Roy E. Terry.
The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, December 14, 2010, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin. The mortuary will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m., until time of services.
Funeral services for Mrs. Billie will be held Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary, with the Rev. Ed Downs officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin.
PALLIE “MOLLIE” HOOD TERRY
June 30, 1914 ~ February 16, 2010
Visitation for Pallie “Mollie” Hood Terry will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 in the First United Methodist Church in Franklin from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 18 in the First United Methodist Church in Franklin at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Susan Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
Mrs. Pallie was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women’s Group. She was a past member of the Franklin Garden Club, the Women’s Auxiliary of the Franklin Foundation Hospital, and the Art Gallery in New Iberia.
Mrs. Pallie lived in Glencoe since 1947 and was a native of Oklahoma , where she was born near Durant. She graduated from high school at Tishomingo, Oklahoma and was a college graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma . She graduated with a B.S. degree in English and Business. She worked as an executive assistant for the president of Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma .
Mrs. Pallie is survived by two sons, James “Jim” Hood Terry of Glencoe and Wilson “Will” Clay Terry and his wife, Debra Gibson Terry, both of Glencoe; daughter-in-law, Ruth Terry of Franklin; three granddaughters, Susan Terry Sconiers of New Iberia, Virginia Terry Reon of Broussard and Melissa Terry Romero of Abbeville; three great grandsons; and two great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Terry; her parents, John and Ada Hood; one brother, Dennis Hood: five sisters, Lucille Hood, Jonnie Bell Hood Ratcliff, Kathleen Hood Pullen, Mary Hood Gill and Lois Hood; and one grandson, Patrick Clay Terry.
The family would like to acknowledge the care and kindness of Florence Cleary.

ANDREW TATE
Mr. Andrew Tate, 93, a resident and native of Franklin, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at 8:30 a.m., at his residence following a short illness.
He is survived by two sons, Frank Tate and Donald R. Oliver of Franklin; two daughters, Lucy Mae Boatman of Port Arthur, Texas and Shelia Oliver of Franklin; two sisters, Daisy Francis of Franklin and Maggie Howard of New Iberia; a host of grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; and a host of great great grandchildren.
Mr. Tate was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two daughters and two sons.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Triumph Baptist Church in Franklin.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. Clarence Stewart Sr. officiating. interment will follow in the Oddfellow Cemetery
in Franklin.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
FRED STOVALL SR.
Mr. Fred Jack Stovall Sr., 74, a native of Epps and a resident of Franklin for the past 50 years, died Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia.
Mr. Fred is survived by six sons, Roy Lee Stovall of Baldwin; Doyle Stovall and his wife, Angelle, of Franklin; Brian Stovall and his wife, Lynn, of Delran, NJ; Fred Jack Stovall Jr. of Lafayette, Dwight Stovall and his wife, Misty, of Franklin; and Todd Stovall of Franklin; one brother, James Lee Stovall of Franklin; two sisters, Barbara Ann Sanford of Keithville and Sandra Stovall of Bossier City; six grandchildren, Amber Stovall, Brian Stovall Jr., Cameron Stovall, Bailey Stovall, Eric Stovall, Jonathan Stovall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lee Delcambre Stovall; his father, Fred Jack Stovall; his mother, Allie Taylor Stovall; and three sisters, Allie Faye Maner, Juanice Razell and Glenda Stovall.
The family requests the visitation be observed Saturday, August 21, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin, with a Masonic service being held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will resume Sunday, August 22, at 9 a.m., until time of dismissal at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.

JANE C. STOCKSTILL
New Iberia — Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. John Stockstill, the former Jane Case, 89, at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Bullock officiating. interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 12, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and again Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time.
A native of Bayou Chene and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Stockstill was a member of the Lafayette Chapter #46 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Iberia.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Stockstill and wife, Paula, of New Iberia and Glenn Stockstill and wife, Paulette, of Houma; four sisters, Bessie Landry of New Iberia, Fern Theriot of Kingswood, Texas , Bernice Theriot of Centerville and Joy Weathers of Morgan City; grandchildren, Kimberly LaBiche, Mitzi, Kevin, Jason, Brian and Sean Stockstill; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stockstill; parents, Jessie and Bertha Larson Case; one sister, Augusta Case; and three brothers, Eddie, Jessie Jr. and Murphy Case.
Pallbearers will be Brian, Sean, Kevin and Michael Stockstill, Floyd Curry, Mike LaBiche, Eddie Case and Arthur Landry.

JOYCE LUKE STILL
October 18, 1927 - June 27, 2009
Joyce Ann Luke Still, 81, a native of Franklin and resident of Centerville, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at 9:30 p.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Mrs. Still is survived by her husband of 40 years, E. Harley Still of Centerville; one son, Aubrey “Buddy” Magoun and his wife, Charlotte, of Baton Rouge; four daughters, Peggy Mangum and her husband, Tracey, of Stokes, North Carolina; Anne Mosher of Biloxi, Mississippi; Marie Dayton and her husband, Barry, of Franklin; and Missy Dupree and her husband, Chris, of Lakeland; two brothers, Ulysse Luke of Amelia and Ronnie Luke of Iowa; sisters-in-law, Rosella Ferreria of South Carolina, Willie Sears of South Carolina and Lois Rovolis of Georgia; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Rae Magoun; her father, Murphy Luke; her mother, Edez Robicheaux Luke Christensen; three brothers, Harry and Cary Luke; an infant brother; two sisters, Beulah Robicheaux and Eldora Dye; and one great granddaughter, Katelyn Mosher.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Wednesday, July 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville, from 1 p.m. until time of service.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at the church at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Thomas Habetz will officiate the services.

AMAR J. ST. GERMAIN
Amar James St. Germain, 51, a resident of Cecilia and native of Franklin, Passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 at his residence.
Amar is survived by one brother, David “Easy” St. Germain and his wife, Tana, of Franklin; sisters, Christine St. Germain of Montegut and her boyfriend, Nolan Roger, and Charmaine St. Germaine of Franklin; sons, Jeremy St. Germain and his wife, Deanna, of Youngsville; Joshua, Jason and Jonathan of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Kylie St. Germain and her boyfriend, Brendan Akers of Lafayette; Tabitha, Thea, Tammy, Ashley, Erika, all of Breaux Bridge, Elizabeth St. Germain Cucu and her husband, Florin, of Romania; four grandchildren; and former wife, Bonnie Hebert St. Germain.
Amar was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Gloria St. Germain; and his brother, Douglas St. Germain.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, at Crossroads in Lafayette from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Mrs. Julia Hebert Stevens, 92, a native of Patoutville and a resident of Baldwin, died Saturday, August 28, 2010, at 12:10 p.m. at the Patterson Health Care Center.
Mrs. Julia is survived by one son, Wayne Stevens and his wife, Gale, of Baldwin; two granddaughters, Jessica Burns and her husband, Cheyenne, of Franklin and Mary Beth Pillaro and her husband, Allen, of Centerville; one grandson, Mark Stevens and his wife, Tammy, of League City, TX; seven great grandchildren, Megan Dugas, Lauren Goulas, Jonathan Pillaro, Garrett Burns, Kincaide Stevens, Keagan Stevens and Karston Stevens; three great great grandchildren, McKenzie Dugas, McKarlie Schexnayder and Joshua Goulas; and a special niece, Cindy Hebert Fisette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.W Steve Stevens; her parents, Sidney and Julia Hebert; one son, Clyde Stevens; one grandson, Wess Anthony Stevens; five sisters, Ella Hebert, Maude Hebert, Marguerite Hebert, Lucy Judice and Annette Ladoucher; five brothers, Sidney Hebert Jr., Desire’ Hebert, Mitch Hebert, Nelson Hebert and Freddie Hebert.
The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, August 31, from 10 am until time of services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin, with a rosary being prayed at 12 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 31, at 1 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin, with Father Greg Cormier officiating the services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
