DONALD J. SANDERS SR.
Donald J. Sanders Sr., 72, a resident of Verdunville and native of Centerville, died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at 5:07 a.m., at his residence, following a short illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beatrice K. Sanders of Verdunville; three sons, Charles Sanders of New Iberia, Donald Jr. (Deondra) Sanders of Ashton and Calvin Sanders Sr. of Verdunville; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sanders; and one daughter, Diane S. Joseph.
Visitations will be observed Friday, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Jones Chapel in Franklin.
Visitations will continue Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Fitzgerald Methodist Church.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at the Nazarene Baptist Church. The Rev. Fulton Raymond will officiate. interment will follow in the Fitzgerald Cemetery.

DAVID ROY SELF
David Roy Self, 65, a resident of Labadieville, died September 7, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Self of Labadieville; two sons, Hoyt Self and Kyle Self, both of Lafayette; three brothers, Ralph Self of Boyce, La., Ernest Self of Creston, La. and Calvin Self of Sacramento, California; two sisters, Hazel Sawaski of Plano, Texas and Virgie Sims of Creston; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Self was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Self.
Services were held Sept. 10, at 2 p.m., at the Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Ralph Self and Bro. Walter Lloyd officiated. interment followed in the Zion Cemetery
in Fairview Alpha, La.

JUDY K. SIMONEAUX
Judy Kirkland Simoneaux, 51, a native of Quitman, Mississippi and a resident of Baldwin for the past 10 years, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at 1:15 a.m. at her residence.
The family requests that visitations be observed Saturday, December 4, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Franklin’s First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Brad Bullock and the Rev. Bobby Hodnett officiating the service.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie J. Simoneaux Sr. of Baldwin; three sons, Benjamin Burgess of Springfield, Virginia; Nicholas Burgess and Anna Gutierrez, both of Springfield, Virginia and Joshua Burgess of Baldwin; her father, Edward K. Kirkland of Franklin and her mother, Carrie Smith Kirkland of Franklin; three step children, Bethany Kuhlman and her husband, Marc, of Franklin; Shay Simoneaux of Franklin; Joseph Simoneaux of Kentwood; four grandchildren; one brother, Michael E. Kirkland of Baldwin; one sister, Sue K. Rohicheaux and her husband, Dale, of Franklin; nephews, Damon Robicheaux of Franklin and Dustin Kirkland of Baldwin; nieces, Keeri R. Payton of Franklin and Kristi R. Coleman of Columbia, S.C.
Pallbearers will be Marc Kuhlman, Damon Robicheaux, Dale Robicheaux, Dustin Kirkland, Gerald Minor and Brandon Higginbotham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Kirkland and Edward Payton III.
Mrs. Simoneaux was a member of Franklin’s First Assembly of God Church. She was employed by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office as a civil deputy.

JEANETTE SINGLETON
Jeanette Singleton, 59, a resident and native of Morgan City, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at 2:05 a.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center, following a long illness.
She is survived by one son, Anderson Singleton of Patterson; one brother, Clarence Madise of Franklin; and three sisters, Deloris Singleton, Gloria Thomas and Kathleen Harrison of Morgan City.
Visitation will be observed Monday, Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Morgan City.
Funeral rites will be Monday, at 1 p.m., at that church. The Rev. C.F. Smith will officiate. interment will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

HERMAN SINGLETON
Mr. Herman Singleton, 37, a resident of New Orleans and native of Amelia, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at 7 p.m., at Medical Center of La. at New Orleans.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Marshall Singleton of New Orleans; one stepdaughter, Arrianne Marshall; one brother, Leroy (Hilda) Jones of Amelia; and four sisters, Lillie (Russell) Thibodaux of Morgan City, Ora Lee Singleton and Emma Matthews, both of Amelia and Irma (Victor) Stewart of Baker.
Mr. Singleton was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Singleton Jones; grandparents, Mack and Emma Julia Singleton; three brothers, Rayfield Richardson, Rutherford and Raymond Jones; two sisters, Shirley Mae Singleton and Shirley Mae Gaines; three uncles and two aunts.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Union Bethel AME Church in Amelia.
Funeral rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at that church. The Rev. Horace Cooper will officiate. interment will follow in the Union Bethel Cemetery
in Amelia.

MARSHALL J. ‘MICKEY’ SISK
Marshall J. "Mickey" Sisk, 51, a native of McKinney, Texas and resident of Charenton for the past 18 years, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at 2:30 p.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
He is survived by two daughters, Heather Sisk of Baldwin and Chelsey Sisk Adams of Charenton; his father, Wilford Willis Sisk of Valiant, Oklahoma ; two brothers, Wilford Ray Sisk of Copeville, Texas and Daryl L. Sisk of Charenton; three sisters, Sharon Taylor of Copeville, Texas , Rene Pevehouse of Princeton, Texas and Karen VanDuser of Copeville, Texas ; two grandchildren, Rayven Nickole Adams and Haylee Grace Bourgeois, both of Charenton; and his former wife, Patricia Cadenhead of Campbell, Texas .
Mr. Sisk was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Vilcan Sisk; and one brother, Gary Glenn Sisk.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War.
Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary.
The mortuary will reopen Tuesday, at 8 a.m.
Service will be Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary. The Rev. Bobby Hodnett will officiate.
Military burial honors will be performed by the Fort Polk Casualty Area Command. Entombment will follow in the Chitimacha Mausoleum in Charenton.
