Visiting at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Paincourtville, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday. interment in St. Elizabeth Church Cemetery. Survived by his former wife, Lottie "Carol" Boudreaux; sons, Harry "Joey" Boudreaux Jr., Pass Christian, Miss., David W. Boudreaux, Luling, and Byron J. Boudreaux, Lovettsville, Va.; a daughter, Beryl Ann Boudreaux Lato, Baton Rouge; a very dear friend, Joyce Naquin; two sisters, Gertie Foster and Therese Whately; and eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Clementine Rodrigue Boudreaux; brothers, O'Neil "Shane," Dalton, Herbert and Henry Boudreaux; and sisters, Hilda Holle, Shirley Lainhart and Jeanne André.

Lucille Adams
Lucille Naquin Adams, 82, a native of Labadieville and resident of Schriever, died at 6:10 p.m. May 29, 2003.
Visitation was from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday May 30, 2003 at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Emile, Andrew “Hoss” and Daniel Adams; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Joseph Adams; parents, Emile and Pamela Levert Naquin; son, Sterling Adams Sr.; brothers, Louis, Eves, Joseph, Willie and Ernest Naquin; and sisters, Bernice Chiasson, Marie Ledet, Rita and Aladin Naquin.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

BARRY L. AUCOIN
A commercial fisherman and pipe fitter with Performance Contractors, he died Saturday, May 31, 2003, in Grand Lake. He was 45, a resident of Belle River and a native of Donaldsonville. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. Survived by his wife, Tammy Landry Aucoin; father and mother, Weldey and Leona Gros Aucoin; a daughter, Amy Aucoin; a son, Cody Aucoin; and paternal grandfather, Walter Aucoin, all of Belle River; two sisters, Wendy Aucoin, Belle River, and Donna A. Templet, Pierre Part; and two brothers, Ronald J. and Tracy P. Aucoin, both of Belle River. Preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Essie Aucoin; and maternal grandparents, Paul and Angelica Leonard Gros.

EUGENE W. "MIKE" SHERMAN
Died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at his residence in Donaldsonville. He was 52 and a native of Belle Rose. Visiting at First Israel Baptist Church, Belle Rose, from 9 a.m. Saturday until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Irvin Brown. Burial in church cemetery. Survived by three daughters, Gabrellia Plummer and Trinette and Shawanda Sherman; two sons, Corey and Fabian Plummer, all of Belle Rose; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Edward McKinney Jr. of Donaldsonville, Augustine and Burel Caine of Belle Rose, and Bertha, Josephine and Dorothy Webster, all of Baton Rouge; four brothers, Clarence Sherman and Oliver Lewis Sr., both of Belle Rose, and Arthur and Wallace Webster, both of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren, three stepsisters, five stepbrothers, eight aunts, two uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Vernice Richard Sherman; three children, Brian, Shelia and Narbert Sherman; parents, three brothers, two sisters, grandparents and stepfather. THE REV. WARREN JOSEPH RICHARD
Pastor of Stone Ezel Baptist Church, retired truck driver with Universal Services Inc. and a 55-year resident of New Orleans, he died at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at his residence. He was 71 and a native of Labadieville. He was a graduate of McDonough 35 High School. He was the vice-president of Pure Light Association, president of the Ministers' Alliance and an annual member of the Research Association and Liberty Baptist Association. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survived by his wife, Pearlia E. Richard; four sons, Tyrone and Warren Tate, Warren J. Richard Jr. and Antonio James Sr.; four daughters, Deborah T. Curry, Mitcheline T. Wright, Elaine James Champs and Arlene J. Harrison; five sisters, Lucille Elliot, Corinne Smith, Marcella Bryant, Bernice Dennis and Yolanda Johnson ; a brother, Nathaniel Monroe; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation at Second Zion Baptist Church, 3333 3rd St., New Orleans, from 6 p.m. until wake service at 7:30 p.m. Friday. ROBERT "ROBBIE" Bernard
A laborer and a native and resident of Napoleonville, he died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He was 47. Visiting at Williams & Southall Funeral Home, Napoleonville, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday. Visiting at St. Paul Baptist Church, Napoleonville, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. David Gilton. Burial in church cemetery. MATTHEW LEONARD BUGGAGE
A retired barber and a resident of New Orleans, he died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Pendleton Memorial Hospital. He was 72 and a native of Napoleonville. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and a 33rd degree Mason. Visiting at Williams & Southall Funeral Home, Napoleonville, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday. Visiting at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church, Napoleonville, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Frederick Isek, MSP. Burial in church cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Grace Buggage of New Orleans; three sons, Rodney Buggage, Matthew Gray and Jerry White , all of New Orleans; a stepdaughter, Gail Holmes Gayle of Atlanta; former wife, Annabell Buggage; and a devoted friend, Joyce Casinere. Also survived by nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Ida and Leonard Buggage; a son, Demetrius Buggage; two stepsons, Kevin and Ronald Holmes; and a host of brothers and sisters.

DANIEL JOHN CLEMENT,
God called him home after living for 75 years. He died at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003. He was a native of Napoleonville and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired employee of DSM Copolymer with 46 years of service and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Usher Society, served as a Eucharistic minister and belonged to the St. Aloysius Prayer Group. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, celebrated by the Rev. Jerry Martin. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Guillot Clement; two sons, Dan Clement and wife Mary, and Michael Clement; two daughters, Anne Menard and husband George, and Janet Borskey and husband Tim; and seven grandchildren, Emily and Gabrielle Clement, Todd Clement, Allison, Joseph and William Rooney and Brandy Borskey. Preceded in death by his parents, Cerfé and Clarise Clement; a brother, Pierce Clement; and a sister, Anita Blanchard. MARTHA ROBERTSON RHODES
A homemaker and a resident of Bertrandville, she died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at her home. She was 55 and a native of Napoleonville. Harry Gilton; 11 sisters, twin sister, Mary Ann Robertson, Irene Wade, Rosemary, Emily and Robin Gilton, Barbara Rainey, Helen Moton, Mary Bell and Alma Wiggins, all of Napoleonville, Hazel J. Brown of Donaldsonville, and Donner Brown of Labadieville; two brothers, Nathaniel Bruce of Napoleonville, and the Rev. David Gilton of Napoleonville; seven grandchildren and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her mother, Viola Brown Bruce; four sisters, Gloria Thomas, Deborah Couteau, Patrice Moore and Robinette Gilton; a brother, Lionell Bruce; two brothers-in-law and four aunts.

ELNITA M. SMITH
A retired custodian and a resident of LaPlace, she died at 4 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Ormond Nursing Home, LaPlace. She was 85 and a native of Klotzville. Visiting at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 1143 S. 11th St., from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003. Religious service at the church at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Michael Saah-Buckman. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by a sister, Madeline M. Landry, Baton Rouge; three brothers, Ulysess Miles, Chicago, and James Miles and Herman Miles Sr., both of New Orleans; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Rachel Miles; three sisters and a brother, Hazel Dorsey, Inez Lewis, Edwin Miles and Mildred Franklin; husband, Albert Smith; and Rita Simmons, whom she raised. Pallbearers will be Herman Brady, Kyle Brown, Michael and Ulysess Franklin, Lowell Landry and Harold Lewis. Preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Blanchard Sr.; parents, Rodolph Sr. and Noemie Templet Landry; three brothers, Rodolph Jr., Neil and Arthur Landry; two sisters, Dolores Buras and Therese Alleman; and a special niece, Mary Gay Landry. A homemaker and resident of Bayou Pigeon, she died at 3:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at River West Medical Center, Plaquemine. She was 85 and a native of Pierre Part. MITCHELL, SR. PAUL WILBURN
A retired truck driver and a resident of Belle Rose, he died at 6:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, in Belle Rose. He was 70 and a native of Grenada, Miss. No service or wake are planned. Survived by four daughters, Lacy Mitchell, Arkansas, Kitty M. Rachal and Paula Oswalt, both of Belle Rose, and LuLu Ulmer, Florida; two sons, Paul W. Mitchell, Denver, and Roy Mitchell, Belle Rose; two sisters, Earline of Minneapolis and Beelah of California; a brother, Morgan Mitchell of Boise, Idaho; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Roy S. and Louise Wilburn Mitchell; and a granddaughter, Reneé Nicole Mitchell.

Lorraine Ragland
Lorraine LeBlanc Ragland, 72, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Raceland, died at 3:20 p.m. on Jan. 25, 2003.
A religious service was held at 10 a.m., on Monday January 27, 2003, at Landry Funeral Home in Napoleonville, with burial in the St. Anne Church Cemetery in Napoleonville.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Joseph Ragland; Her two sons: Howard Patrick and James Jude Ragland; Her three daughters: Stephanie Angelette, Chris Callahan and Suzanne Borne; sisters, Her three sisters: Virgie Bergeron, Bennie Acosta and Jessie Falcon; Her nine grandchildren and Her three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ridley and Veronica Aucoin LeBlanc .

Mabel Ross
Mabel Johnson Ross, 88, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Napoleonville, died Jan. 23, 2003.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Thibodaux. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.
She is survived by numerous relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ross; parents, Arthur and Sarah C. Johnson ; brothers, Timothy, Isaac, Arthur Jr., Claude, Leonard and Joseph Johnson ; and sisters, Gertrude, Earline, Mary, Martha, Nina, Elester and Ruth.

Simoneaux
Alvin Simoneaux, 81-years of age, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Thibodaux, died at 5:15 a.m. Jan. 17, 2003.
Visitation was from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2003 at Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
He is survived by a stepson, Godfrey Waguespack.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Dugas Simoneaux; He was also preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Mae Boudreaux Simoneaux.
He was a member of the Walter I. Lanier No. 307 F&AM Masonic Lodge, where he was secretary and past master.

BLANCHARD SR., HENRY JOSEPH
Retired owner and operator of Henry Blanchard's Seafood, he died at 4:10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, in Pierre Part. He was 91 , a resident, and native of Pierre Part. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Pierre Part, at noon Wednesday, celebrated by the Rev. Clarence Waguespack. Entombment in church mausoleum. Survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Winnie and Fred Fernandez, Brusly St. Martin, Wineva and Sonny Sanchez, and Wilma Simoneaux, all of Pierre Part; four sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Jeanette Blanchard, Henry Jr. and Kitty Blanchard, Michael and Elnora Blanchard and Arnold and Sharon Blanchard, all of Pierre Part; a sister, Virginia Crochet, Pierre Part; 35 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Lilia Breaux Blanchard; parents, Gervis and Mathilda Aucoin Blanchard; two brothers; eight sisters; a grandson, Nathan Blanchard; and a great-granddaughter, Hope Michelle Blanchard.

Amy Aucoin Daigle
Amy Aucoin Daigle, 86, a native and resident of Labadieville, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at 4:15 p.m.
Visitation and a Mass of Christian Burial were held today at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Everett Daigle Jr. of Cape Coral, Fla.; two daughters, Brenda Daigle Berthelot of Thibodaux and Candace Gary of Gray; a brother, Author Aucoin of Labadieville; two sisters, Anna Aucoin Daigle of Napoleonville and Louise Coupel of Amelia; 15 grandchildren, Kathey, E.J., Carrie, Melanie, Bryan, Lisa, Dwayne, Darlene, Johnny, Danny, Shane, L.J., Tracy, B.J. and Chad; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Daigle Sr.; her parents, Oscar and Emma Aucoin; a son, Oscar Daigle; three brothers, Albert, Gilly and Sammy Aucoin; and two sisters, Alice Boudreaux and Odile Boudreaux.

Margaret “Maggie” Dugas, 91, a resident of Napoleonville, died Dec. 29, 2002. Visitation was from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31,2002, at First Baptist Church in Napoleonville. A religious service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, New Year's Eve, at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Simoneaux; son-in-law, Terry Simoneaux; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tammy, Garrett, Tara and Taylor Zeringue, Troy Lafaye, Raven Simoneaux, Stephanie, Darryl, Shelby and Ali Benoit, Jennifer Zane, Kay and Zoe Aizen, Lauri, Byron and Justin Phoenix, Heidi Simoneaux and Blair Stevens. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis “Took” Dugas; parents, Henry and Lucy Heath Martin; brothers, Tom, Sam, Dot, Henry, Gay and Fred Martin; and sisters, Delba Martin, Manila Marchand and Lucy Ikerd.
