Born: February 16, 1922; She was 80-years old and died on Tuesday December 31, 2002. She was a native of Bayou Godell, (East Belle River), and a resident of Morgan City. Visitation will is being held Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with the rosary being said at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City with burial in the Morgan City Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Adam Joseph Fangue; Lydia Gorsha, daughter, with husband, John R. Gorsha Sr., and children, John R. Gorsha Jr. and Jada Gorsha; Juanita Berard, daughter, with husband, Lindon Berard Jr., and children, Linette Martin and Lititia Stanberry; and Douglas Fangue, son, with wife, Suzan Fangue, and children, Emily Fangue, Adam Fangue and Sarah Fangue. Other survivors include her brother, Evans Olivier and his wife, Marie; and sisters, Helene Aucoin and Inez Thompson. She is also deeply missed by her great-grandchildren, Aerial Gorsha, Jamie Falgout, Patrick Falgout, James Gregory, Ryan Martin, McKenna Aloisio and Landon Gregory. Pallbearers for the service are John R. Gorsha Jr., Ronnie Martin, Sean Stanberry, Tre’ Aloisio, Gerald Polaski Jr. and Lindon Berard Jr.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter. Pearl was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.

HEBERT, SR. NOLAN AUGUSTIN
A 15-year retired bridge tender; and a commercial fisherman; Nolan Hebert died at 9:26 p.m. Thursday, January 02, 2003, in Pierre Part. He was 67-years old, and a native and resident of Pierre Part. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Monday January 06, 2003. Mass will be conducted by the Rev. Lenet Guidry. interment in the church cemetery.
Nolan is Survived by three daughters and three sons-in-law: Janet Hebert and Davis Bourg of Paincourtville; Jeannie Hebert and David Whitehurst; and Romana Hebert and Dalton Cavalier. All reside in Pierre Part. He is also survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Nolan Hebert Jr. and Toni Hebert of Tickfaw; Ricky and Beverly Hebert of Dallas; and Yancy Hebert of Pierre Part. Nolan is survived by a sister, Libby Landry of Pierre Part; three brothers, Alton Hebert Sr., Wilton Hebert and Wilbert Hebert, all of Pierre Part; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alcide Albarado Hebert; a sister, Ruby Coupel; and a grandson, Joshua Cavalier. Pallbearers will be Nolan Hebert Jr., Ricky Hebert, Yancy Hebert, Jacob Cavalier, Brian Bourg and Michael Sanchez. Nolan Hebert enjoyed being with his family, barbecuing and boiling crawfish and crabs.

Frank Pearley Sr.
Frank Pearley Sr., 93-years old, a native and resident of Belle Rose died on December. 29, 2002.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday January 04, 2003 at St. James United Methodist Church in Belle Rose. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.
Frank Pearly is survived by his daughters, Enola Smith, Joyce Pearley Miller and Brenda Myles, all of Belle Rose; and Hilda Carter of New Orleans. He is also survied by his sons, Frank Pearley Jr. of Belle Rose; and Roy Fleming of Baton Rouge. He is survived, also, by a sister, Velma Woods of New Orleans; by his brothers, Walter and Louis Pearley Sr. of New Orleans; Joseph and James Pearley of Belle Rose; 41 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Parker Pearley; parents, Willie Sr. and Mary Pearley; daughter, Mary Lee Williams; son, James Fleming; brother, Willie Pearley Jr.; and siser, Ida Mae Winfield.

MILDRED ACOSTA SOLAR Talbot
A resident and native of Napoleonville, she died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003. She was 92, born Nov. 4, 1910. Visitation was at Landry's Funeral Home, Napoleonville, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Visitation at St. Anne Catholic Church, Napoleonville, from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday. interment in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Janet S. Landry and Connie S. Boudreaux; two stepdaughters, Pauline Scarborough and Jerry Anne Talbot; 11 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and nine stepgreat-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Solar; second husband, Claude Talbot; parents, Joseph and Myrthe Helt Acosta; a great-grandson, Willie Bernard; two brothers, Clarence and Claiborne Acosta; and five sisters, Josie Marquette, Clara Bergeron, Annie Burns, Addie Boudreaux and Gertie Guidroz.

LINDA MARIE MORALES "LI-LIN" THERIOT,
A resident of Addis, she died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 53 and a native of Donaldsonville. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 9 a.m. Monday until Rite of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by two sons, Randall Theriot and Cody Theriot, both of Pierre Part; a sister, Rita Torrez Leonard of Belle River; a granddaughter, Alexis Marie Theriot of Pierre Part; nephews, Calvin Jr. and Marty Leonard, both of Belle River, and Barney Cedotal of Prairieville; a special cousin, Barbara Theriot of Pierre Part; and a special devoted friend, Ricky Tullier of Brusly. Preceded in death by her mother, Sidonia Morales McKellar; father, Joseph Sheldrick; grandparents, Augustine and Velma Morales; and a special aunt, Ruth Mary "Flossie" Cedotal.

James “Jimmy” Dobbs Landry Sr.
James “Jimmy” Dobbs Landry Sr., 81, a native of White Castle and resident of Napoleonville, died at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 18, 2002.
Visitation was from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 21.2002 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Eve Richard Landry, sons, James Dobbs Landry and Kevin Paul Landry; daughters, Grettle Ann Blanchard of Aransas Pass, Texas , Cynthia “Cindy” Mary Robertson of Scottsboro, Ala.; brothers, Loles “Jack” Landry Jr. of White Castle; sisters, Vertile Cavalier of Gonzales and Lue Ida Albarado of White Castle; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loles P. Sr. and Harriet Callahan Landry.

A retired cottage parent at the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired, she died at 11:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at River West Medical Center, Plaquemine. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George Jr. and Janice Laurent Landry, Plaquemine; a daughter, Janie Sharon Oram, Addis; eight grandchildren, Craig and wife Eve Landry, Becky and husband Mickey Cavalier, Laurie and husband Buddy Navarre, Stacy Landry and husband Rick Raffanti, Joey and wife Monica Sharon, Joanie Sharon, Jeffrey Sharon and wife Tonya, and Steve Sharon and wife Arlene; 11 great-grandchildren, Kristen Navarre, Philip and Eric Landry, Nolan, Clark and Ben Cavalier, Lizzie Raffanti, Kayla, Chet and Christina Sharon, and Christopher Greenhill; three sisters, Margaret Breaux, Plaquemine, Lois Warner, Addis, and Joyce Revelle, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, George Landry Sr.; a great-grandson, Cody Navarre; five brothers, Sidney, Willie, R.L., Harold and Iris Berthelot; and a sister, Grace Berthelot Simms. Brennan Joseph Theriot
Brennan Joseph Theriot, four months, died Thursday at his Bayou Vista residence. He was a native of Morgan City.
Visitation Saturday will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at IbertÕs Memorial Park Cemetery in Patterson.
He is survived by his father, Brent Theriot; his mother, Sherrica Mayon; and a brother, Derrick Mayon Jr., all of Bayou Vista.
He also is survived by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Glenda Alleman of Patterson; paternal grandfather, Ames Theriot of St. Martinville; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O.J. Fruge of Bayou Vista; paternal great-great-grandmother, Alma Sevin of Des Allemands; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Templet of Pierre Part; maternal grandmother, Angie Johnson of Patterson; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gaulbert Templet of Pierre Part; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lombas of Morgan City; and maternal great-grandmother, Geraldine Freyou of Pierre Part.

Claude Joseph Metrejean
70, a native and resident of Pierre Part died at 5:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2002.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 7 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Angeline Landry Metrejean of Pierre Part; five daughters, Jacquline Gaspard and husband, David, Carolyn Morales and husband, Alton, and Evelyn Berthelot and husband, Olan, all of Pierre Part, Diana Coupel and husband, Jimmy, of Schriever and Eileen Metrejean of Lake City, Fla.; two sons, Brian Metrejean and Darren Metrejean and wife, Nikki, of Pierre Part; four sisters, Annie Giroir, Frances Hebert, Louetta Blanchard and Maggie Foret, all of Pierre Part; two brothers, Rand Metrejean Sr. of Morgan City and Alvin Metrejean Sr. of Bayou Vista; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Louise Guillot Metrejean; one infant daughter, Emelda Marie Metrejean; and one sister, Marie Theriot.
He was owner of Claude’s Seafood.

THE REV. WARREN JOSEPH RICHARD
Pastor of Stone Ezel Baptist Church, retired truck driver with Universal Services Inc. and a 55-year resident of New Orleans, he died at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at his residence. He was 71 and a native of Labadieville. He was a graduate of McDonough 35 High School. He was the vice-president of Pure Light Association, president of the Ministers' Alliance and an annual member of the Research Association and Liberty Baptist Association. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survived by his wife, Pearlia E. Richard; four sons, Tyrone and Warren Tate, Warren J. Richard Jr. and Antonio James Sr.; four daughters, Deborah T. Curry, Mitcheline T. Wright, Elaine James Champs and Arlene J. Harrison; five sisters, Lucille Elliot, Corinne Smith, Marcella Bryant, Bernice Dennis and Yolanda Johnson ; a brother, Nathaniel Monroe; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation at Second Zion Baptist Church, 3333 3rd St., New Orleans, from 6 p.m. until wake service at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Odette Chamberlain
Odette "Blondie" Blanchard Chamberlain, 81, a native of Pierre Part and resident of Thibodaux, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial in St. Philomena Cemetery in Labadieville. She is survived by seven sons, Robert and wife, Gail, Larry and wife, Rita, Richard and wife, Ann, Donald and wife, Margaret, J.C. and wife, Judy, Harold and Curtis Chamberlain; one daughter and her husband, Darlene and Popedo Benoit Jr.; one sister, Anna B. Elkins; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Chamberlain; her parents, Wilson and Alice Mabile Blanchard; one great-granddaughter, Haley N. Chamberlain; two brothers, Dalbert Blanchard and Dudley Blanchard; and three sisters, Mae B. Leonard, Therese B. Pillitire and Olivia Blanchard.

A homemaker, resident of Pierre Part and former resident of Denham Springs, she died at 3:25 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, in Baton Rouge. She was 72 and a native of Greenwood, Miss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gaylord Franks; parents, Lake Edward Eidson and Lillian Magnolia Sojourner; three sisters, Onie Greer, Daisy Eidson and Onita Hooter; and a brother, Henry Russell Eidson. AUCOIN, SR. TERRANCE JOSEPH
A resident of Bayou L'Ourse and native of Amelia, he Passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003. He was 50, born Oct. 17,1952, in Morgan City. Visitation was Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home, 1031 Victor II Blvd., Morgan City, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Amelia. Graveside service in St. Andrew Cemetery, Amelia, conducted by the East St. Mary Parish Funeral Squad. The traditional 21-gun salute will be given to honor their comrade, and the presentation of the colors will be given to the family. Mr. Aucoin was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, and a devoted husband, father, son and friend. He was a former U.S. Marine and a Vietnam veteran. He had a love for music, and dedicated nearly 30 years of service to the oil field. Mr. Aucoin is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Jane Ruiz Aucoin, Bayou L'Ourse; his children, Terrance Joseph Aucoin Jr. and Jonathan Paul Aucoin, both of Bayou L'Ourse, Jason Theodore Bailey, his wife, Lauren, and their daughter, Hannah, all of Morgan City, and Christine and Timothy Sullivan of Virginia; his mother, Elizabeth P. Aucoin of Amelia; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Jennie Ruiz of Bayou L'Ourse; and four sisters, Mrs. Carey (Shirley) Francis of Lafayette, Mrs. Douglas (Elaine) Fontenot of Rockport, Texas , Mrs. Timothy (Cheryl) Veillion of Morgan City, and Mrs. Jerry (Sheila) Olsen of Eureka, Kan. Mr. Aucoin is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Villier "V.A." Joseph Aucoin; and a sister, Anne Elizabeth Aucoin. Mr. Aucoin touched many hearts and will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. May God give him angel's wings in heaven above so he could continue to watch all those he loved.

Survived by three sons, Elouis Jr., Michael and Gary Herbert, all of New Orleans; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, including a devoted nephew, Ronald Johnson , and other relatives and friends. A retired commercial fisherman, he died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, in Morgan City. He was 88 and a resident and native of Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Pierre Part, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Clarence Waguespack. interment in church cemetery. Survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Leo and Nellie Aucoin, Rivers and Liz Aucoin, Ridley and Deanna Aucoin, Herbert and Penny Aucoin, and a former daughter-in-law, Jane Aucoin, all of Pierre Part, and Henry and Aggie Aucoin, Belle River; three sisters, Judy Blanchard and Maude Blanchard, both of Bayou Piegeon, and Alma Gaudet, Morgan City; two brothers, Walter Aucoin, Pierre Part, and Dennis Aucoin, Bayou Pigeon; and 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Leonelle Sedotal Aucoin; an infant daughter; parents, Jules and Angelle Berthelot Aucoin; and three sisters, Lucy Hedgetts, Lena Blanchard and Louise Blanchard.

Catherine Caldwell
Catherine Caldwell, 77, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Raceland, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Morristown Benevolent Cemetery. She is survived by seven sons, Lionel Garner, Robert Caldwell, Carter Caldwell and Wilbert Caldwell of Houma, Lowery Caldwell Jr., Alvin Caldwell and Wilson Garner of Raceland; one daughter, Mable Louise Caldwell of New Orleans; one brother, Sam Garner Jr.; 42 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowery Caldwell Sr.; her parents, Irene Davis and Sam Garner Sr.; two daughters, Rosetta Caldwell and Sarah Ann Caldwell; one brother, Wilbert Allen; and one sister, Gertrude Thomas. She served on the usher board at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

KERN, CLARA G.
A resident of McMinnville, Ore., she died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003. She was 93, born May 27, 1910, in Loreauville. Visiting at St. Anne Catholic Church, Napoleonville, from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. interment in church cemetery. Survived by a son, A.J.
