Janese D. LeBlanc

DELCAMBRE - Funeral services for Mrs. Herman "MeMe" LeBlanc , 71, the former Janese Derise, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gilbert Dutile officiating. Entombment will be in Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.

Visitation will continue until 10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen Thursday from 7 a.m. until the time of services.

A native of Iberia Parish and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. LeBlanc died at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at Abbeville General Hospital.

Mrs. LeBlanc was a Good Sam member.

She is survived by her husband, Herman "MeMe" LeBlanc of Delcambre; two sons, Charles Blaine LeBlanc of Phoenix, Ariz., and Herman W. LeBlanc , and his wife, Roxanne, of Duson; four daughters, Stella Durke, and her husband, Louis, of Abbeville, Sarah Caffey of Delcambre, Emily LeBlanc of New Iberia, and Phyllis LeBlanc , and her husband, Michael, of Bayou Tigre; two brothers, Grady Derise of New Iberia, and Wilbert Derise of Virginia; four sisters, Mildred Falgout, Josephine Migues and Leona "PeeWee" Broussard, all of Delcambre, and Dorothy "Dot" Choplin of St. Martinville; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. LeBlanc was preceded in death by her parents, Dominique and Stella LeMaire Derise; two grandchildren, Janese and Janessa LeBlanc ; one brother, John Derise; and one sister, Louise Landry.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Goutierrez, Daniel Durke, Herman and Chaz LeBlanc , Nicholas Barras and Justin Ryder.

Honorary pallbearers will be Al, Coy and Bart LeBlanc , Ryan Barras, Johnathan Caffey and Colt Ryder.

Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre is in charge of arrangements.

Leo P. Roy

Loving nephew and friend

Funeral services for Leo Paul Roy, 70, will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Alfred Ayem officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 7 a.m. until the time of services with an 8:30 a.m. rosary at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel.

A resident of New Iberia and resident of New Orleans for more than 40 years, Mr. Roy died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center following a brief illness.

He is survived by his maternal aunt, Florence Bush of Houston; his paternal aunt, Edith Butler of New Iberia; and a host of cousins and friends.

Mr. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Eliza Allen Roy; his brother, Edward James Roy; his paternal grandparents, Justilien and Amelia Boyance Roy; and his maternal grandparents, Adam and Alice Lasalle Allen.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan and Shelton Jones, McCoy Bush Jr., Louis Sonn Jr., Ellis Castillo and Calvin Roy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roy-Allen family members.

Fletcher Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Eola S. Richard

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother

RYNELLA - Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Richard, 88, the former Eola Savoie, will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with the Rev. Donavon Labbe' officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 2:30-10 p.m. with an 8 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home in New Iberia, which will reopen Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A native of Patoutville and resident of Avery Island, Mrs. Richard died at 4:20 a.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at New Iberia Manor South in New Iberia.

Mrs. Richard was employed by McIlhenny Pepper Factory. She was a tour guide for Jungle Gardens in Avery Island for 42 years and was featured in National Geographic, where she was interviewed for her years as a tour guide at Jungle Gardens.

She enjoyed fishing and visiting friends and family. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, St. Ann Altar Society and St. Marcellus Catholic Church.

Mrs. Richard is survived by four sons, Wayne Richard, and his wife, Melonie, Joseph Hilton Richard, and his wife, Barbara, Floyd Richard, and his wife, Carolina, and Mac Richard, and his wife, Poochie, all of New Iberia; two daughters, Jeanette R. Bodin, and her husband, Larry, of New Iberia, and Loretta R. Ray, and her husband, Charles, of Kansas City, Mo.; her sister, Marcie S. Price of Lafayette; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Richard was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Richard; her parents, Arthur and Hortense Boudreaux Savoie; her daughter, Billie Jo Richard; three brothers, Eddie, Offid "Moon" and Claude Savoie; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Don, Glenn, Beau and Ryan Richard, Spencer Ray and Audie Bodin.

David Funeral Home North, Trotter Street of New Iberia, is in charge of arrangements.

Tony Viator

NEW BERN, N.C. - Funeral services for Tony Viator, 75, were held Feb. 9, 2003, at Pollock-Best Funeral Home in New Bern, N.C. Entombment was in New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Augusta, Ga., Tony died Feb. 2, 2003.

He was retired from the U.S. Army, having proudly served his country during the Korean conflict.

Tony was an avid vegetable and flower gardener and loved to play baseball in his younger days.

He is survived by his wife, Reba; his sons, Mark and Bruce; his daughter, Connie Russell; his stepdaughter, Alma; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; his brother, Howard P. Viator Sr.; and his sisters, Lizzie Viator, Olive V. Chatagnier, Anita V. Broussard, Linda V. Giarratano, Lucy V. Russo and Charlene V. Guillot.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Ovey F. and Elmina B. Viator; his brothers, Alexis and Johnny; his sister, Clara V. David; and his nieces, Sybil D. Folkerth and Jacqueline Russo Dubroc.

Visitation was observed prior to the funeral. Pollock-Best Funerals and Cremations of New Bern, N.C., was in charge of arrangements.

W. Bradley Kimbrough Jr.

A loving son, husband, father and grandfather, Bradley died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, in an automobile accident in Harlingen, Texas .

He was born on April 13, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark. He moved with his family to Lafayette as a teenager and graduated from Lafayette High School where he was a member of the football team. He attended Tulane University and USL before graduating from LSU with a degree in mechanical engineering.

Bradley was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He started his career at St. Mary Sugar Co-op in Jeanerette, La., and worked there until 1975, then moved to Baton Rouge to work as a consultant in the sugar industry. He traveled throughout the world working on various sugar projects and was considered to be one of the most experienced and knowledgeable individuals in the sugar industry today.

He was president of Arkel Sugar Company and owner and president of Food Commodity Supply International. Although his work required him to be a city dweller, Bradley's true love was small-town south Louisiana where he so enjoyed good food, music and dancing.

Bradley was an avid outdoorsman and loved duck hunting and fishing with family and friends. In more recent years, he developed a love for golf and enjoyed every chance to join his friends for a round.

Most recently, however, he could be found in the company of his grandchildren to whom he was affectionately known as "Popi."

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, will be today from 1-3 p.m. immediately followed by a graveside service conducted by the Very Reverend Ralph Howe Jr. at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Boulevard.

Bradley is survived by his wife, Pam Fehlman Kimbrough; a son and daughter-in-law, W. Bradley Kimbrough III and Beverly Spangler Kimbrough (Baton Rouge); a daughter and son-in-law, Elise and Jeff Routier (Baton Rouge); six grandchildren, Ella Clair Kimbrough, Alex, Grant and Avery Ashley, and Jacob and Emma Routier; his parents, W. Bradley Kimbrough Sr. and Nell Ashley Kimbrough (Lafayette); three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jack and Nell Schneider (Brentwood, Tenn.), Stephen (Bruce) and Karolyn Broussard (Nashville, Tenn.) and Noel and Elizabeth Norwood (The Woodlands, Texas ); two brothers and sisters-in-law, Stephen and Kathy Kimbrough (Houston, Texas ) and Michael and Pamela Kimbrough (Shreveport, La.); and two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Mike and Kathy Aderman (Baton Rouge) and Tim and Debbie Hebert (Lafayette).

Pallbearers will be W. Bradley Kimbrough III, Jeff Routier, Mike Aderman, Michael Kimbrough, Ronald (Poss) Guillotte and Stephen (Bruce) Broussard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Trinity Episcopal Church in memory of W. Bradley Kimbrough Jr., 3552 Morning Glory Avenue, Baton Rouge, La. 70808, or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in his memory at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105-1942.

Jenny B. Bouillion

DELCAMBRE - Funeral services for Jenny Bouffanie Bouillion, 45, will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 1-10 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Bouillion died at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at Abbeville General Hospital.

Leroy M. Delcambre

DELCAMBRE - Funeral services for Leroy Mitchell Delcambre, 83, will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with the Rev. Herb Bennerfield officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 2-10 p.m. with a 6:15 p.m. rosary at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A native of Bayou Petit Anse and resident of Delcambre, Mr. Delcambre died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2003, at Abbeville General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Comeaux Delcambre of Delcambre; his son, Mark Mitchell Delcambre of Abbeville; four daughters, Lelia Ann Jennings of Brook Haven, Miss., Sonia Emily Landry and Shannon Fay Broussard, both of Delcambre, and Karolyn Hood of Abbeville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Delcambre was preceded in death by his parents, Lillier and Lelia Rodrigue Delcambre; his sisters, Hazel Landry, Mazie Sonnier and Alberta Richard; and his brothers, L.E. "Jun," Allen, Harold, Huey and Pierre Delcambre.

Pallbearers will be Ron Sonnier Sr., Charidy Mitchell Delcambre, Randall Trahan, Chassidy Fabiano, Darrell Gary and Nolan Landry.

Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre is in charge of arrangements.

Elaine "Gammy" B. Newell

Mrs. Clyde Newell, the former Elaine Broussard, 80, died Monday, March 31, 2003, at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma.

A native and longtime resident of Loreauville, she had been a resident of Theriot for many years.

Mrs. Newell was a direct descendant of the Acadian Broussards from Novia Scotia that settled in South Louisiana . She was a lifetime member of the Famille BeauSoleil Association, an organization for Broussard descendants, and was a major contributor to her family genealogy for the organization. She was also a direct descendant of Jean Francois Gonsoulin of France who was awarded a land grant to the well known Belle Isle Island in St. Mary Parish.

Mrs. Newell's family will receive relatives and friends at Samart Funeral Home in Houma from 6-8 p.m. Friday and on Saturday at St. Joseph's Church in Loreauville from 10:30 a.m. until noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at noon with the Rev. Aaron Melancon officiating. interment will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde E. Newell; two daughters, Mrs. Gail Oubre Viator and her husband, George, and Mrs. Carolyn Oubre Gale; two granddaughters, Rebecca and Meredith Gale; three grandsons, Reed Whitney Jr. and his wife, Sherry, Mark Whitney and his fianc/e, Stacy, and Dain Whitney and his wife, Stacy; five great-grandchildren, Brianna, Chandler, Hanna, Alexis and Megan; one step-great-grandchild, Dexter; her sister, Mrs. Roy (Gladys) Berard; and her brothers, Harold and Anthony "Jaybird" Broussard and their families.

Mrs. Newell was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony "Tony" and Odette Gonsoulin Broussard; her first husband, Ivy J. Oubre; and a son-in-law, John Gale.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
