Norald F. Tingler

Services for Norald F. Tingler, 66, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at David Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Charles Thevis officiating. interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:30-9 p.m. today at the funeral home which will reopen at 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of services.

A native of DeQuincy and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Tingler died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997, at Lafayette General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Ellis Tingler of New Iberia; one daughter, Frances Tingler of New Iberia; two brothers, Edmond Tingler of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Roy Tingler of St. Louis; and one sister, Rita LeMaire of Cut Off.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Louise Curtis Tingler; and one brother, Henry Tingler.

David Mortuary of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Robert Earl Scheck

ABBEVILLE - Services for Mrs. Robert Earl Scheck, 63, the former Goldie Conner will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. interment will be in the St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville.

Visitation was held Friday from 4-12 p.m. at Hebert-David Funeral Home, which reopened today at 8 a.m. A rosary will be held at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Scheck died at 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 1997, at Abbeville General Hospital.

The Hebert-David Funeral Home Inc. of Abbeville is in charge of arrangements.

Marjorie D. Guillotte

JEANERETTE - Services for Mrs. Marjorie D. Guillotte, 65, will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at Landry-David Funeral Home of Jeanerette with the Deacon Theo Landry officiating. interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Jeanerette.

Visitation will be from 5-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home which will reopen Sunday at 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A native of Patoutville and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Guillotte died at 1:26 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 1997, at Columbia Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia.

She was a teacher-aide at Bambi Headstart.

Mrs. Guillotte is survived by four sons, Kirk Guillotte and Tommy Guillotte, both of New Iberia, Lynn Guillotte of Jeanerette and Rodney Guillotte of Sorrell; five daughters, Paula Guillotte Figueroa and Agnes Guillotte Lalonde, both of New Iberia, Debra Guillotte Landry and Toni Guillotte Mendoza, both of Jeanerette, and Diana Guillotte Olander of Cypremort Point; and 30 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Claytus Derouen; her stepfather, Johnny Telotta; her mother, Mary Lancon Telotta; her brother, Dudley Derouen; and her sister, Agnes Derouen Guillotte.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

The Landry-David Mortuary of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.

Barron Coleman

Services for Barron Coleman, 96, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Star Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronell Cheatham officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel which will reopen at 7 a.m. Saturday until 12:30 p.m.

Mr. Coleman died at 8:36 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 1997, at Columbia Dauterive Hospital following a brief illness.

He was the oldest member of Star Temple Baptist Church where he also served on the deacon board.

Mr. Coleman is survived by two sons, Caldwell Coleman of Huntington, Md. and Alton J. Coleman of Henrietta, New York; two daughters, Doretha C. Dilworth and Dorothy C. Burruss, both of Rochester, New York; two daughters-in-law, Brenda Coleman of Huntington and Mary Theresa Coleman of Henrietta; two sisters, Catherine Shallow of Galveston, Texas , and Amelia Polk of Port Arthur, Texas ; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Avia S. Coleman; his parents, Jules and Cecelia Beals Coleman; and one brother, James Broussard.

Pallbearers will be Wilbert Mitchell, Rodney Simon and Billy Livingston.

The Fletcher Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Agnes J. Polk

Services for Agnes J. Polk, 85, the former Agnes Jones, will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas James officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Houston for two years, Mrs. Polk died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997, at Briarwood Nursing Care Center in Houston.

She is survived by three sons, Isaac Polk Jr. of Sealy, Texas , Arthur Polk of New Iberia and Kenneth John Polk of Heidenburg, Germany; five daughters, Barbara Simon of Beaumont, Texas , Betty Jean Polk, Emma Batiste and Mary Nell Moore, all of Houston, and Linda Broadnax of Sugarland, Texas ; two brothers, Albert Jones Sr. of New Iberia and Ernest Jones of Houston; one sister, Hilda Trahan of Los Angeles; one beloved son-in-law, Edward Broadnax of Sugarland; 27 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mrs. Polk was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Polk Sr.; her parents, Frazier and Neomia Jones; one brother, Norris Jones; and two sisters, Marjie J. Calhoun, and Lorena J. Wilfred.

Pallbearers will be McKinley Polk, Aubrey Polk, Seff Michael Polk, Floyd Edward Polk, Irving Moore and Edward Simon Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Isaac Polk Jr., Arthur Polk, Kenneth John Polk, Paul Mitchell, Rev. Ernest Jones and Albert Jones Jr.

LeRoy Norris

Services for LeRoy Norris, 73, will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with the Rev. Dan Picard officiating. interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-11 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Mortuary, which will reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services.

A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Norris died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

He was a retired pipe inspector for AMF Tuboscope for 35 years and a senior citizen volunteer for 10 years for Council on Aging.

Mr. Norris is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Trahan Norris of New Iberia; one son, Terry J. Norris of Lafayette; one brother, Dennis Norris of New Iberia; one sister, Lula Mae N. Romero of New Iberia; three grandsons, Toby J. Norris of New Iberia, Beau M. Norris and Stephen Thomas, both of Lafayette; and one great-granddaughter, McKinley P. Norris of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie E. and Edna Viator Norris; and one brother, Anoie Norris.

Pallbearers will be family members.

The David Mortuary of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Paige Elizabeth Schexnaider

ERATH - Services for Paige Elizabeth Schexnaider, 7, will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Wayne Duet officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Broussard Funeral Home, which will reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services.

Miss Schexnaider died at 1:14 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, as a result of an automobile accident.

She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Annette Vincent Schexnaider of Erath; her maternal grandparents, Preston and Judy Segura Vincent of Erath; and her paternal grandparents, Ennis and Mary Broussard Schexnaider of Abbeville.

The Broussard Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of arrangements.

Donald J. Touchet

ERATH - Services for Donald Joseph Touchet, 69, will begin at 3 p.m. today at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Wayne Duet officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery. Military services will be conducted by Deroun-Moss American Legion Post 279.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until the time of services at Broussard Funeral Home.

A resident of Erath, Mr. Touchet died at 2 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

He retired from Texaco, Morgan City District, after 30 years of service. Mr. Touchet was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Deroun-Moss American Legion Post 279.

Mr. Touchet is survived by his wife, Lula Vice Touchet of Erath; two daughters, Mrs. Stafford (Dianna) LeBlanc of Erath and Yvonne T. Bazer of New Iberia; five grandchildren, Marseille Primeaux, Christine Duhon, Paula Bernard, Natalie LeBlanc , Lance LeBlanc , Andrea Bazer and Alicia Bazer; and three great-grandchildren, Keisha Menard, Angellica Primeaux and Austin Bernard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manson and Agnes Belle Touchet; and one brother, Dalton Touchet.

Pallbearers will be Lance LeBlanc , Jude Bernard, Brian Richard, Alvin Vice, Curly Granger and Randy Granger.

The Broussard Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of arrangements.

Neglest J. Trahan

Services for Neglest J. "Frenchy" Trahan, 82, will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at David Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Steve Trahan officiating. interment will be in the Notre Dame Du Lac Cemetery in Delcambre.

Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Mortuary, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday until the time of services.

A native of Jefferson Island and resident of New Orleans, Mr. Trahan died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997, at Memorial Baptist Hospital in New Orleans.

He was a retired electrical welder.

Mr. Trahan is survived by his wife, Ruth Lake Trahan of New Orleans; three sons, David N. Trahan of New Orleans, Steve R. Trahan of Kenner and Jeffery W. Trahan of Madisonville; two daughters, Janice R. Buisson and Karen C. Trahan, both of Metairie; two sisters, Anna Mae Norris and Anna Belle Champagne, both of New Iberia; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Desire' and Ella Lange Trahan; two brothers, John Trahan and Joseph Trahan; six sisters, Enith LeBlanc , Elda Morvant, Edna Comeaux, Marie Trahan, Edith Delahoussaye and Rita Babineaux.

The David Mortuary of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
