Ned A. Champeaux Sr.

Services for Ned Champeaux Sr., 84, will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with the Rev. William Rogalla officiating. interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:30-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

A native of Loreauville and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Champeaux died at 5:30 a.m. today, May 4, 1998, at Consolata Nursing Home.

He was a past member of the Moose Lodge and the Knights of Columbus No. 1208 and a local business man involved in restaurants, service stations and grocery stores.

Mr. Champeaux is survived by his wife, Marie Fruge’ Champeaux of New Iberia; three sons, Donnie Champeaux of St. Martinville, Glenn Champeaux and Ned Champeaux Jr. both of New Iberia; two sisters, Mrs. Claude Broussard and Nettie LeBlanc , both of New Iberia; four grandsons, Cedric Champeaux of Westlake, Chris Champeaux of St. Martinville, Sgt. Jason Champeaux of Fort Braggs, N.C. and Troy Champeaux of Maracaibo, Venezuela; and one granddaughter, Mary Catherine Champeaux of St. Martinville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Iola Broussard Champeaux; and two brothers, Fred Champeaux and Leonard Champeaux.

Pallbearers will be family members.

The David Funeral Home of New Ibeira is in charge of arrangements.

Jessie M. Parker

FRANKLIN - Services for Jessie Mae Parker, 58, will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with the Rev. Allen Lopez officiating. interment will be in the Perpetual Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-10 p.m. today at Otis Mortuary Chapel.

A native and resident of Franklin, Mrs. Parker died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.

She was the owner of Jessie’s Beauty Salon in Franklin for 30 years.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her mother, Elnora Rentrope Joseph of Franklin; two sons, Patrick Fitzgerald Parker of Franklin and John Meredith Parker of Lafayette; one daughter, Patty Jo Defils of Franklin; two brothers, Israel Parker of Abbeville and James Parker of Richmond, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father; one daughter; four brothers; and five sisters.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.

Elise D. Jumonville

JEANERETTE - Services for Mrs. Ernest J. Jumonville, 89, the former Elise Duhon, will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Church with the Rev. Ed Degeyter officiating. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4:30-9 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary at David and Landry Funeral Home, which will reopen at 7 a.m. Wednesday.

A native of Broussard and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Jumonville died at 3:50 p.m. Monday, May 4, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center.

She is survived by 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and four step great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jumonville was preceded in death by her parents, Oneziphore Duhon and Idea’ Broussard Duhon; her husband, Ernest J. Jumonville Sr.; three sons, Ernest J. Jumonville Jr., Adam Jumonville and Willie Jumonville; and seven brothers.

Pallbearers will be family members.

The David and Landry Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.

Winola B. Leleux

Services for Winola “Winnie” Belaire Leleux, 65, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with the Rev. William Rogalla officiating. interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:30-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A native of St. Martinville and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Leleux died at 12:42 p.m. Monday, May 4, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center.

She worked for Dr. Francis Dalton formore than 30 years, and was presently employed with Dr. Cornelius Voorhies. Mrs. Leleux was a dental assistant for over 40 years.

She is survived by two sons, Chris Leleux of New Iberia and Durice “Joey” Leleux III of Buda, Texas ; two daughters, Barbara Leleux LeBlanc of New Iberia and Angie Leleux of Avery Island; two brothers, Albert Belaire of Breaux Bridge and Robert Belaire of New Iberia; three sisters, Elise Champagne and Yola Doucet, both of Parks, and Betty Pharr of New Iberia; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Leleux was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cecile Barras Belaire; and one sister, Theresa Pourcheaux.

Pallbearers will be Robert Belaire, Albert Belaire, Charles Doucet, Durice Leleux Jr., Kelly Pharr and Will Pharr.

The David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Zoe B. Dugas

COTEAU HOLMES - Services for Mrs. Fernest Dugas, 99, the former Zoe Berard, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church with the Revs. Thomas Edappady and Jeff DeBlanc officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Evangeline Funeral Home in St. Martinville, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A native and resident of Coteau Holmes, Mrs. Dugas died at 7:20 a.m. Monday, May 4, 1998, at a New Iberia hospital.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Dugas is survived by three sons, Dalton Dugas and A.J. Dugas, both of Coteau Holmes, and Harry Dugas of St. Martinville; one daughter, Mrs. Edrick (Aline) Daigle of Coteau Holmes; 24 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 36 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernest Dugas; one daughter, Euline Guidry; her parents, Adamar and Arsen Dugas Berard; four brothers, Zachary Berard, Anisette Berard, Dauvest Berard and Overn Berard; five sisters, Carmelite Verret, Odelie Vincent, Dea Molbert, Odile Bernard and Felecie Blanchard; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The Evangeline Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.

Gloria Jean Stake

LAFAYETTE - Memorial services for Gloria Jean Stake, 56, will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church.

A native of Bossier City and resident of Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Stake died Thursday, April 30, 1998.

She was a school teacher for 30 years and a member of Parkway Place Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stake is survived by her husband, J.D. Stake; three sons, Jay Stake of Little Rock, Jon Stake of Lafayette and Joel Stake of Alexandria; two brothers, Charles Lacy and James Lacy both of New Iberia; and one sister, Cathy Crawford of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Everna Lacy; and one sister, Rachel Lacy.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The Roller-Chenal Funeral Home of Little Rock was in charge of arrangements.

Anna Belle P. Brown

JEANERETTE - Services for Mrs. James B. Brown, 79, the former Anna Belle Patout, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed Degeyter officiating. interment will be in the Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today with a 6:30 p.m. rosary at David and Landry Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A native of Patoutville and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Brown died at 7:25 a.m. Monday, May 4, 1998, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hosptial in Lafayette.

She is survived by one son, James Ory Brown of Washington , D.C.; three daughters, Bobbye Brown, Jeannine Brown LaFrance and Mrs. Dana (Ginger) Louviere, all of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Lydia) Fontane of Lydia and Evelyn Patout of Patoutville; two grandsons, Dr. Kevin Louviere of Luling and Stephan Louviere of Baton Rouge; three granddaughters, Jill Daigle, Denise Daigle LeBlanc and Mrs. Brent (Densie) LeBlanc , all of Lafayette; one great-grandson, Brennan LeBlanc of Lafayette; and one great-granddaughter, Madison Louviere of Luling.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Brown; her parents, Ory Patout and Agnes Gary Patout; one brother, Warren Patout; and two sisters, Bessie Patout Fitch and Mrs. Howard (Shirley) Hebert.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Kevin Louviere, Coy Fitch, John Fontane, Jacque Hebert, Stephan Louviere and Peter Patout.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Keller.

The David and Landry Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.

Edward J. Bourque

Services for Edward Joseph Bourque, 65, will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Interfaith Fellowship Church with the Rev. John Sandifer officiating.

Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. today with a 7:45 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will remain open all night.

A native of Jefferson Island and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bourque died at 3 a.m. today, May 5, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.

He was a retired derrickman in the oil field industry.

Mr. Bourque is survived by his wife, Bessie Doucet Bourque of New Iberia; two sons, Bobby Bourque Sr. of Delcambre and Thomas LaJaunie of New Iberia; three foster sons, Elvis Bourque and Richard Vincent Jr., both of Coteau; and Kirt LaJaunie of Alvin, Texas ; two daughters, Stephanie Delahoussaye of New Iberia and Charlotte LaJaunie of Loreauville; one foster daughter Lora Snyder of Coteau; one sister, Felicia Nowell of New Iberia; three sons-in-law, Donald Delahoussaye of New Iberia, Todd Snyder of Coteau and Tommy Crochet of Loreauville; and three daughters-in-law, Stacy Vincent of Coteau, Abby Bourque of Delcambre and Janet LaJaunie of New Iberia; eight grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and eight foster grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Alicia Floris Bourque; and one brother, Hayward Bourque Sr.

Pallbearers will be Elvis Bourque, Bobby Bourque Sr., Kirt LaJaunie, Thomas LaJaunie Robin Perez and Richard Vincent.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Bourque Jr., Edward Bourque, Justin Vincent, Dane Romero, Cody Snyder, Dave Delahoussaye, Nathan Delahoussaye and Richard Vincent Jr.
