Paul Toups

Services for Paul Toups, 77, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Guidry officiating. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 3-10 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.

A native of Kaplan and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Toups died Thursday, May 14, 1998, at Holly Beach.

He worked for Iberia Parish as a Bridge Tender.

Mr. Toups is survived by his wife, Pauline LaSalle Toups of New Iberia; two sons, Roger Topes of Lafayette and Steven Toups of New Iberia; four daughters, Allie Elizabeth Toups Cuccio, Myrlene Toups Cuccio and Gloria Toups Mahoney , all of New Iberia and Dorothy Toups Morvant of Lake Charles; one brother, Alphe’ Toups of Kentucky; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Deussard Toups and Mathilda Premeaux Toups; and one sister, Paula Toups Boudoin.

Pallbearers will be David Cuccio, Charlie Hugonin, Freddie Louviere, Roger Toups, Steven Toups and Shane Toups.

Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Mahoney.

The David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Joyce D. Boutte

Services for Mrs. Elton P. Boutte, 51, the former Joyce Dozier, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Ragalla officiating. interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.

A native of Cottonport and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Boutte died at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at a New Iberia hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Elton P. Boutte of New Iberia; two sons, Kevin Boutte and Bryan Boutte, both of New Iberia; one daughter, Rachel Lynn Boutte of New Iberia; one brother; and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Corey Camacho, Brian Boutte, Jerry Gerard, Timmy Creighton, Allen Boutte and Chris Fages.

Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Creighton and Jacob Gerard.

The Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Leonce Patin

LAFAYETTE - Services for Leonce Patin, 85, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Delhomme Bertrand Chapel of the Flowers with the Rev. Russell Harrington Vicar for Priests, Diocese of Lafayette officiating. Entombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.

A native of Scott and resident of Lafayette, Mr. Patin died at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 1998, at his residence.

He worked for the Lafayette Parish School Board until his retirement. Prior to this he had owned and managed Patin's Grocery and had worked for Blue's Laundry and Trappey's Beverage Co.

Mr. Patin is survived by two sons and their wives, Robert and Kathleen Patin of Lafayette and Gerald "Hammy" and Judy Patin of Kaplan; two daughters and their husbands, Jeannel and Dale Dupuis of Lafayette and Linda and Joe Ferguson of New Iberia; three sisters, Mrs. Simon (Gertie) Crochet and Mrs. Edith Alleman, both of Scott, and Mrs. Bernice Bouterse of Corpus Christi, Texas ; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lily Domingue Patin; and his parents, Louis Patin and Anna Domingue Patin.

Pallbearers will be Robert Patin Jr., Scott Patin, Patrick Dupuis, Chad Dupuis, Robert Breaux and Allan Prejean.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Lee Martin and Dale Dupuis Jr.

The Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements.

Sallie Landrum

MANGHAM - Services for Sallie Landrum, 83, were held at 10 a.m. today at Lone Cherry Baptist Church with the Revs. Doyle Adams and Richard Brooks officiating. interment was in the church cemetery.

A resident of Mangham, Mrs. Landrum died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.

She was a member of Lone Cherry Baptist Church.

Mrs. Landrum is survived by one son, Dr. Clyde E. Landrum of New Iberia; two daughters, Rose Marie Hearn of Farmerville and Nanette Crawford of Mangham; one brother, H.E. Vickers of Zwolle; two sisters, Fannie Trichel of Swartz and Maxine Crockett of West Monroe; one sister-in-law, Cleo Saylor of Selina, Texas ; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Landrum; and a brother, Thomas Vickers.

Pallbearers were grandsons and Deacons of the Lone Cherry Baptist Church.

The Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville was in charge of arrangements.

Robert Blanchard

Services for Robert "ToBee" Blanchard, 73, will begin at 3 p.m. today at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Guidry officiating. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be at Evangeline Funeral Home until the time of services.

A native of Lafayette Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Blanchard died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at a local hospital.

He worked for Trappey's for 41 years, 16 of which as a truck driver and the remainer as a factory worker. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II.

Mr. Blanchard is survived by his wife, Mae Bernard Blanchard of New Iberia; one brother, Hugues "Earl NoNo" Blanchard of New Iberia; and one sister, Mrs. Earless (Victoria) Romero of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Galbert Blanchard and Talita LaPointe Blanchard; and one sister, Eula B. Touchet.

The Evangeline Funeral Home Inc. of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Mary A. Migues

Services for Mrs. Haywood Migues, 63, the former Mary Alice Abbott, will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Schexnayder and Deacon Ken Waguespack officiating. interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 5:30 p.m. rosary at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday.

A native of Jennings and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Migues died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at a New Iberia hospital.

She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a member of the Third Order Carmalites.

Mrs. Migues is survived by three sons, Haywood "Tony" Migues Jr. and his wife, Peggy Portier of New Orleans, Johnny B. Migues and his wife, Edith Dubois of Henry and Joey T. Migues and his wife, Jodi Comeaux of Broussard; three daughters, Mildred "Millie" Migues of Lafayette, Nancy M. Fontenot and her husband, Roger of Abbeville and Marie M. Bourque and her husband, Marty of New Iberia; one brother, Tom Abbott of Lafayette; one sister, Joann Baudoin of Abbeville; 10 grandchildren, Mandy and Ashley Migues of Henry, Michael and Jacque Migues of St. Martinville, Jerard and Jenna Bourque of New Iberia, Lacey Fontenot of Abbeville, Ashlyn Stoltz and Aline and Joey "J.T." Migues II of Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Migues Sr.; her parents, Joseph and Mildred Fleming Abbott; and one brother, Shyde Abbott.

Pallbearers will be Haywood "Tony" Migues Jr., Johnny B. Migues, Joey T. Migues, Mike Migues, Roger Fontenot and Jerard Bourque.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Abbott, Marty Bourque and her grandchildren.

The Evangeline Funeral Home Inc. of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

D'Aun T. Shampine

LOREAUVILLE - Services for Mrs. Roger Shampine, 38, the former D'Aun "Peanut" Thibeaux, will begin at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev Charles Thevis officiating. interment will be in the All Saints Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:30-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home of Loreauville, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Shampine died at 8:06 p.m. Monday, April 6, 1998, at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.

She was a housewife.

Mrs. Shampine is survived by her husband, Roger Shampine of Loreauville; her parents, Preston and Rita Mae LeBlanc Thibeaux Sr., of New Iberia; two sons, Chad Shampine and Travis Shampine, both of Loreauville; two daughters, Melanie Shampine and Tracie Shampine, both of Loreauville; three brothers, Bryan Thibeaux and Michael Thibeaux, both of Loreauville, and Preston Thibeaux Jr. of New Iberia; one sister, Susan T. D'Avy of Coteau; and her grandparents, Ravis and Margaret Thibeaux, of New Iberia.

Pallbearers will be Jason Thibeaux, Chris D'Avy, Dustin D'Avy, Jacob D'Avy, Zeke D'Avy and Troy Berard.

The David Funeral Home of Loreauville is in charge of arrangements.
