FRANKLIN - Graveside services for Emily Luman Blair, 90, will begin at 2 p.m. today at Franklin Cemetery.

Mrs. Blair died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998.

Ibert's Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.

Anfernie J. August

Graveside services for infant Anfernie Jamie August, will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Cemetery.

Anfernie died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.

She is survived by her father, Arthur Shello and her mother, Kali August.

The David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Wilda Thomas

Services for Wilda Thomas, 64, the former Wilda Williams, will begin at 7 p.m. today at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Jolivette officiating. interment will be in the St. Matthew Cemetery at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today at the funeral home, which will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Thomas died at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital following a long illness.

She is survived by her husband, Mitchell Thomas of Beaumont, Texas ; three sons, Ricky Thomas, Michael Thomas and Horace Thomas, all of New Iberia; three daughters, Margarette Frank of New Iberia, Elsie Youman and Hilda Batiste of St. Martinville; five brothers, Wilfred Frank of Loreauville, Elisha Williams Jr., Alfred Williams and Horace Williams, all of New Iberia and Edward Williams of Avery Island; two sisters, Mildred Eugene of New Iberia and Elmarie Corsey of Jeanerette; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Elisha William Sr. and Elisie Hill; one son, Terry Thomas; one brother, Clarence Williams; and one sister, Anna Mae.

Pallbearers will be friends and family members.

The Journet and Bolden Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Janet Y. Landry

Services for Mrs. Carl G. Landry Jr., 46, the former Janet Young, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Guidry officiating. interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary conducted by K of C Council No. 3425 of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at the Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday until the time of services.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Landry died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 1998, at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Carl G. Landry Jr. of New Iberia; two sons, Carl G. Landry III and Kilburn Landry, both of New Iberia; two daughters, Shannon Landry and Erin Landry, both of New Iberia; one brother, Kenneth Young and his wife, Barbara Moss Young of New Iberia; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Virgil (Bonnie) Palumbo of New Iberia and Mrs. William (Barbara) Clenney of Baton Rouge.

Mrs. Landry was preceded in death by her parents, Kilburn and Laurice Haik Young; and one son, Shane Young.

The Evangeline Funeral Home Inc. of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Georgine A. Peltier

Services for Mrs. Rene Peltier, 93, the former Georgine Arcement, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peters Catholic Church with the Rev. Bill Rogalla officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday until the time of services.

A native of Labidaville and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Peltier died at 11 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 1998, at a New Iberia nursing home.

She was a retired waitress and a member of VFW Auxiliary Post 1982 of New Iberia.

Mrs. Peltier is survived by one brother, Raoul Arcement of New Iberia; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rene Peltier; her parents, Anatole Arcement and Anna Gros Arcement; two sons, Jessie Peltier and Hilton Peltier; three brothers, Joe Arcement, Theophile Arcement and Paul Arcement ; and one sister, Lorrine Verret.

The David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Magdalen B. Moresi

JEANERETTE - Services for Magdalen "Doll" Bergeron Moresi, 82, will begin at 2 p.m. today at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed Degeyter officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at David and Landry Funeral Home until the time of services.

A native of Thibodaux and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Moresi died at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at Franklin Foundation Hospital.

She was a past member of the Garden Club in Jeanerette and an active member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette.

Mrs. Moresi is survived by two stepsons, Alfred D. Moresi of Grand Prairie, Texas , and Charles Moresi of Jeanerette; one stepdaughter, Gloria M. Parr of Houston; one niece, Beverly Nelson of Franklin; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Moresi; her parents, Albert and Harriet Touts Bergeron; two brothers, Peter Bergeron and Sidney Bergeron; and three sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Catherine) Bergeron, Mrs. Buddy (Celeste) Hunt, and Mrs. James (Blanche) Ricks.

Pallbearers will be Eric Nelson, Alvin Bergeron, Kenny Domilisse, Earl Nelson, Pat Ricks, Mike Warnake and Richard Warnake.

Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Bergeron and Richard Ricks.

Thelma E. Green

ABBEVILLE - Services for Thelma E. Green, 73, the former Thelma Evans, will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greater Pleasant Green Baptist Church with the Rev. Micheal C. Wright officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today with an 8 p.m. wake service at Fletcher Funeral Home, which will reopen from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday and will resume at 1 p.m at the church.

A resident of Abbeville for many years, Mrs. Green died at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 1998, at Vermilion Heath Care Center in Nunez following a brief illness.

She was a member of Greater Pleasant Green Baptist Church.

Mrs. Green is survived by four sons, Phillip Green, Marvin Green, Paul Green, all of Abbeville, and Terry Bessard of Abbeville; four sisters, Iola Collins of New Orleans, Sally Hubbard of Houston and Louella Davenport and Theresa Robinson, both of Abbeville; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Green; her parents, James Evans Sr. and Ida L. Evans; six brothers, Leonard Murphy, Lionel Konider, Henry Evans, Joseph Joiner, Jessie Evans and James Evans; and three sisters, Gertrude Green, Blanche Sereal, and Mildred Hudson.

Pallbearers will be Michael Evans, Robert Lee Foster, Kenneth Moore, Lawrence Hudson, James Evans III and Wilfred "Bush" Sereal.

Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Green, Marvin Green, Paul Green, Blake Green, Tyrone Mitchell, Adam Robinson, Terry Bessard, Alton Bessard and Gregory Adams.

The Fletcher Funeral Home of Abbeville is in charge of arrangements.

Eliza L. Hebert

ABBEVILLE - Services for Eliza "Nee" Simon Hebert, 94, the former Eliza Leger, will begin at 1 p.m. today at St.Theresa Catholic Church with the Rev. Chester Arceneaux officiating. interment will be in the Leroy Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Vincent Funeral Home until the time of services.

Mrs. Hebert died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, March 8, 1998, at Abbeville General Hospital.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Legion of Mary, and the Leroy Church.

Mrs. Hebert is survived by one son, Rufus Simon of Abbeville; two daughters, Mrs. Ronnie (D'Ella) Boudreaux of New Iberia and Lilly Mae Simon of Abbeville; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Gordy (Quida) Duhon and Mrs. Willie (Joyce) Broussard, both of Maurice, Mrs. Walter (Wanda) LeBouef of Kaplan, and Mrs. Tom (Shirley) Mhire of Lafayette; two brothers, Raoul Leger and Adam Leger, both of Kaplan; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; 17 step grandchildren; and 34 step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Noah Simon; her second husband, Rexie Hebert; her parents, Adam and Emma Labry Leger Sr.; one son, Elzie Simon; three brothers; and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Benjie Simon, Dwayne Simon, Mark Simon, Allen Landry, Jessie Landry and Clint Boudreaux.

The Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville is in charge of arrangements.
