Mary W. Turner
Services for Mary Turner, 53, the former Mary White , will be held at 8 p.m. today, March 6, 1998, at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roland Jones officiating. interment will be in the St. Matthew Cemetery
at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today at the funeral home, which will reopen Saturday at 7 a.m. until the time of dismissal.
A resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Turner died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at her residence following a brief illness.
She is survived by six brothers, Larry J. White Sr., Leroy White Sr., Robert White Jr., all of New Iberia, Gus J. White Sr. of Lowell, Mass., Junius Clyde Bowman of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Jerry Eddie Bowman of Saginaw, Mich.; two sisters, Ruth Ann Gregoire of Baytown, Texas , and Grace Jerell of New Orleans; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents, Robert White Sr. and Thelma P.W. Pierre; two brothers, Carol White and Raymond White ; one sister, Barbara White ; and her special friend, Joseph Delcambre.
Pallbearers will be members of the immediate family.

Harold Thompson
Services for Harold “Son” Thompson, 69, will be held at 8 p.m. today, March 6, 1998, at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Jackson officiating. interment will be in St. Matthew Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today at the funeral home, which will open Saturday at 7:30 a.m. Dismissal services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Thompson died at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Thompson of New Iberia; five sons, Danny Thompson, Walter Thompson, David Thompson, Kenneth Thompson and Larry Walker, all of New Iberia; four daughters, Lorna Thomas, Helen Thompson, Ethel Chavalier and Shelbra Thompson, all of New Iberia; three sisters, Ruby Jones, Margaret Thompson and Gertrude Orphy, all of Houston; 23 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Thompson; his mother, Victoria Thompson; one son, Harold Thompson Jr.; one daughter, Maxine Bernard; five brothers, Wilson Thompson, Henry Thompson, Freddie Thompson, Junius Raymond and Carol Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Floyd Thompson, Anthony Thompson, Melvin Jones, Jonathan Jones, Johnny McCoy and Elvis Braden.

Laura B. Reaux
Services for Mrs. Lovest J. Reaux, 79, the former Laura Boullion, will begin at 2 p.m. today, March 6, 1998, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Guidry officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be today from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
A native of Meaux and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Reaux died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 1998, at her home in New Iberia.
She retired after 17 years of service as a cook from Iberia Medical Center.
Mrs. Reaux is survived by one son, Murphy Reaux of New Iberia; one sister, Alicia Istre of Kaplan; one grandson, Christopher Todd Reaux of New Iberia; and one granddaughter, Wendy Jo Reaux of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lovest J. Reaux; her father, Fernest Boullion; her mother, Zalicia Boudreaux Boullion; one son, Morrill Reaux; and one brother, Ores Boullion.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Robert Kately Jr.
Services for Robert R. Kately Jr., 49, will begin at 8 p.m. today at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edward Tauriac officiating. interment will be in the St. Matthew Cemetery
with military rites performed by the V.F.W. Post 1982.
Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today at the funeral home, which will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
A native of New Iberia and resident of Texas City, Texas , for many years, Mr. Kately died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Columbia Mainland Medical Center in Texas City following a brief illness.
He was employed by Valero Energy for 21 years and was a Vietnam War veteran.
Mr. Kately is survived by his wife, Mona Lisa Kately of Boston; his mother, Levola G. Kately of New Iberia; his stepfather, George Thompson of New Iberia; one stepson, Marshal James Subjects of Holloman Air Force Base, NM; three stepdaughters, Raelyna A. Catalon of Brunswick , Maine, Alicia Catalon Medina of Galveston, Texas and Thada Catalon Parker of Texas City, Texas ; two brothers, Micheal Kately and Carl Kately, both of New Iberia; three sisters, Georgette Thompson, Martha Wright and Bluette Thompson, all of New Iberia; four stepsisters, Mary Powell of New Iberia, Yvonne Cushintberry of New Orleans, Barbara Estis of Baton Rouge, Lenora Taylor of Mobile, Ala.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Raymond Kately Sr.; one son, Robert Raymond Kately III; and one brother, R.C. Kately.
Pallbearers will be Russell J. Broussard , Deangelo Kately, Tavid C. Lewis, Carlos Thompson, Steven Cormier, Calvin St. Julien and Paul St. Julien.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Thompson, Patrick Wright Jr. Micheal Kately Jr. and Louis Brown Jr.

Paul A. Coudroy
Services for Paul A. Coudroy, 87, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with the Rev. Albert Boumans officiating. interment will be in the Nativity Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 1:30-9 p.m. today with a 6:30 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.
A native of Jeanerette and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Coudroy died at 10 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 18, 1998, at his residence.
He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of The Woodmen of the World.
Mr. Coudroy is survived by his wife, Zulmae Bourque Coudroy of New Iberia; two daughters, Georgie M. Coudroy of Alameda, Calif., and Paulette C. Delcambre of New Iberia; two granddaughters, Sylvia June Delcambre of New Iberia and Tammy Ducote of Riverridge; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Viola Segura Coudroy; four sisters, Ruby C. Koch, Thelma C. LeBlanc , Odette C. Mason and Pearl C. Myers; and his stepfather, Jake Fisher.
Pallbearers will be family members.

John L. Wiltz
ABBEVILLE - Services for John Leroy Wiltz, 67, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Theresa Catholic Church with the Rev. Isaac Opara officiating. interment will be in the St. Paul Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel, which will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services.
A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Wiltz died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday , Feb. 14, 1998, at his residence following a brief illness.
He is survived by two daughters, Gloria Boudreaux of Abbeville and Brenda Boudreaux of St. Martinville; two sisters, Tonia Montgomery of Youngsville and Ada Allen of Erath; and a host of grandchildren.
Mr. Wiltz was preceded in death by his parents, James Wiltz and Clementine George Wiltz; his companion; two brothers, Robley Wiltz and Andrew Wiltz; and four sisters, Theresa Wiltz, Agnes Wiltz, Celima Montgomery and Bernadette Green.
Pallbearers will be members of the immediate family.

Lucius Stredit
Services for Lucius Stredit, 84, were held at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, at St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas James officiating. Entombment was in the church mausoleum Tuesday.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Stredit died at 4:52 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.
He was a member and an usher at St. Edward Catholic Church, a member of Knights of Peter Claver No. 179, and a member of Holy Name Society.
Mr. Stredit is survived by his wife, Irma Stredit of New Iberia; one son, Christopher Johnson Sr. of New Iberia; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orelia Lee Stredit; his mother, Mary Riggs Stredit; two brothers, Arthur Stredit Sr. and Horace Brown; and two sisters, Louise Harris and Edna Stredit.
Pallbearers were Knights of Peter Claver No. 179.
Honorary pallbearers were Ronald Bashay, Arthur Stredit Jr., Charles Stredit, Freddi Bashay, Ellis Gonsoulin, Edmond Mickins, Leo Etienne, Ronald Davis Sr. and Jerry Livingston Sr.

Services for Mary Jane Vallain, 59, the former Mary Jane Jenkins, will begin at 8 p.m. today at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Moncriffe officiaitng. interment will be in the St. Matthew Cemetery
in Patoutville on Saturday.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home, which will reopen from 7:30-10 a.m. Saturday.
A native of Patoutville and resident of New Iberia for 59 years, Mrs. Vallain died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb, 16, 1998, in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
She is survived by one son, Beachman Villain Jr. of Avery Island; three daughters, Mary V. Walker, Cynthia V. Hall, and Felicia M. Vallain, all of New Iberia; seven brothers, Calvin Jenkins and Oliver Jenkins III, both of New Orleans, Chester Jenkins Sr., Profit Jenkins Sr., Wilfred Jenkins, Wesley Jenkins and Shelby Jenkins, all of New Iberia; two sisters, Martha J. Willis, and Carol A. Jenkins, both of New Iberia; 18 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Vallain was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Oliver Jenkins Jr.; her mother, Sarah Charles Jenkins; one daughter, Bridgette Vallain; and one sister, Betty J. Morris.
