Marilyn P. Fountain
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Ms. Marilyn Patricia Fountain, 50, of Clarksville died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998.
She was a native of El Paso, Texas , a former resident of New Iberia and a graduate of Mt. Carmel Academy.
Ms. Fountain is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jefferey (Kathleen) Wynne of Cunningham, Tenn; two brothers, Frederick R. Fountain of New Iberia and John T. Fountain of Belle Chase; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardy R. Fountain and Patricia Carey Fountain; and one brother, Thomas T.C. Fountain.
The Sykes Funeral Home of Clarksville was in charge of arrangements.
Genevieve B. Penn
Services for Genevieve B. Penn, 75, will begin at 12 p.m. today at David and Jacquemoud Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Dietz officiating. Entombment will be in the St. John Mausoleum in Jeanerette.
Visitation will be at the funeral home until the time of services.
A native of Weeks Island and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Penn died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Clay J. Penn of Jeanerette; one son, Brant Penn of New Iberia; one daughter, Dianne T. Penn of Jeanerette; one brother, Adam Bonin of Lydia; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Penn was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Cidalise Sonnier Bonin; two brothers, Henry Bonin and Sidney Bonin; and one sister, Mrs. Fernest Leah Migues.
Pallbearers will be Brant Penn, Albert Penn, Lonnie Penn, Stony Penn, Lynn Trimble and Bobby Vice.
The David and Jacquemoud Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
Margaret McCroskey
Services for Margaret McCroskey, 56, will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at David Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven LeBlanc officiating. interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:30-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
A native of Birmingham, Ala., and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. McCroskey died at 3:40 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.
She is survived by her mother, Celine Boutte McCroskey of New Iberia; four brothers, David McCroskey of Youngsville, John McCroskey of Houston, Thomas McCroskey of Montgomery, Ala., and Gilbert McCroskey II of New Iberia; and two sisters, Alice Broussard of New Iberia and Frances Price of Miami, Okla.
Ms. McCroskey was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert McCroskey.
Pallbearers will be Thomas McCroskey, Gilbert McCroskey II, Ed "Happy" Broussard, David McCroskey, John McCroskey and Chuck Price.

Druscilla W. Rodriguez
BALDWIN - Services for Druscilla Marguerite Wiltz Rodriguez, 87, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Bill Melancon officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday with a 10 a.m. rosary at Ibert's Chapel.
Mrs. Rodriguez died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
She was a registered nurse and was also a member of the Kings Daughters.
Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by three sons, Raphael "Pookie" E. Rodriguez Jr. , James J. Rodriguez and Martin W. Rodriguez, all of Ashton; one daughter, Lily L. Rodriguez Helm of Palmetto, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raphael E. Rodriguez Sr.; her parents, Martin Wiltz and Leona Potier Wiltz; one brother, Percy Wiltz; two sisters, Lucy Conrad and Viola Barras; and one great-granddaughter.
Ibert's Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of the arrangements.
W.K. "Bill" Freese
JEFFERSON, Texas - Services for W.K. "Bill" Freese, 87, will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Haggard Heaster Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Joiner officiating. interment will be in the New Prospect Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m today at the funeral home.
A resident of Marion County, Texas , Mr. Freese died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at his residence.
He was a member of Hall Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran, a cattle rancher, a farmer and served as Marion County constable for 33 years.
Mr. Freese is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law. Robert Bruce and Gail Freese of New Iberia and Jerry William and Sandy Freese of Fallbrook, Calif.; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith Ann and Roy W. Harrell of Marshall, Texas ; two sisters, Velma Windsor and Elizabeth Killingsworth, both of Burnett, Texas ; two grandsons, Denis W. Harrell and Billy W. Harrell; eight granddaughters, Angela Bonin, Tammy McCoy, Ellen Walton, Caye Robichaux, Shellie Messick, Lisa Carter, Lauren Freese and Stephanie Badeaux; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Hardy Lincoln and Willie Mae Webb Freese.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Carter, Eugene Tefteller, Lance Scudday, John Reeves, Ed Joseph and James Benefield.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alphonse Smith and Dr. Jesse DeWare.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Longview or to Hall Baptist Church.

Kathy P. Mestayer
LAKE CHARLES - Services for Kathy Prejean Mestayer, 41, will begin at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Carr officiating. interment will be in Prien Memorial Park in Lake Charles.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. today, with a 6 p.m. rosary at the funeral home which will reopen Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
A native of Church Point, former resident of New Iberia and resident of Lake Charles, Mrs. Mestayer died at 12:53 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998.
She was a member of the Catholic faith, and a 1974 graduate of New Iberia Senior High School. She graduated in 1975 as an LPN from Teche Area Vocational School. She was employed as an LPN in the Lake Charles area.
Mrs. Mestayer is survived by her parents, Willie and Roma Prejean of New Iberia; one son, Kyle Joseph Mestayer of Lake Charles; and two sisters, Brenda Boutte and Lisa Aman, both of New Iberia.

Celestine "Tennie" Joseph
MORBIHAN - Services for Mrs. Celestine "Tennie" Joseph, 78, the former Celestine Johnson , will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Teche United Church of Christ with the Rev. Paul Godfrey officiating. interment will be in the Saint Matthew Cemetery
in New Iberia.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m Wednesday until time of services at the church.
A native of Morbihan, Mrs. Joesph died at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at Heritage Manor North following a brief illness. She was a member of Teche United Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Leona Johnson and Louise Johnson , both of Morbihan, one special brother-in-law, Lawless Sparrow of Mrobihan; 17 nieces and nephews and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Joseph was preceded in death by her parents, Joesph Johnson Sr. and Laura Irving Johnson ; her husband, Arthur Joseph; seven brothers, Cornelius, Leafier, Harry, Israel, Paul, Calvin and Joesph Johnson Jr.; four sisters, Neomie J. Sparrow, Rose Marie Johnson , Evangeline J. Daye and Catherine Johnson and one special niece, Jessie Sparrow.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Thompson, Roy Johnson , Harold Thompson, Brian Thompson, Gregory Johnson and Calvin Johnson .
Honorary pallbearers will be Lawerence Day, Lawless Sparrow, Clarence Crofton, Joseph Crofton, Troy Johnson , Lawerence Thompson, Darryl Thompson, Leafier Johnson , Horace Walker and Micheal Miller.

Rachel Gosnell
GOLDEN MEADOW - Services for Rachel Gosnell, 51, the former Rachel Cheramie will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor. interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
A native of Golden Meadow and resident of New Iberia for 18 years, Mrs. Gosnell died at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Miles Gosnell; her mother, Mrs. Randolph Cheramie; two sons, Monty Gosnell and Scott Gosnell and his wife Lori; one daughter, Cheramie Gosnell; and two brothers, Randolph Cheramie Jr. and Todd Cheramie.
Mrs. Gosnell was preceded in death by her father, Randolph Cheramie.
Pallbearers will be Miles Gosnell, Monty Gosnell, Scott Gosnell, Cheramie Gosnell, Randolph Cheramie Jr. and Todd Cheramie.
