Mable D. Hebert
Services for Mable DesRoche Stroud Hebert, 90, will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Rogalla officiating. interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday with a 12:30 p.m. rosary at the funeral home.
A native of Louisa and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hebert died at 3:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, at a New Iberia hospital.
She is survived by one sister, Viola DesRoche Legnon of Lydia; one nephew, Robert Legnon Jr. of Jeanerette; four nieces, Frances LaJaunie St. Pierre and Durabelle LaJaunie Landry, both of Lafayette, Judy LaJaunie DeRise and Helen Legnon LaBiche, both of Lydia.
Mrs. Hebert was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Francis and Amanda Granger DesRoche; one sister, Aline DesRoche LaJaunie; her first husband, Willie "Bill" Stroud, and her second husband, Roy Hebert.
Pallbearers will be Julian Frank Sr., B.J. Frank, Brady DeRise, Kip LaBiche, Kauby LaBiche and Ross DeRise.

Bertha O. Lasseigne
ST. MARTINVILLE - Services for Bertha Lasseigne, 69, the former Bertha Oubre, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. Entombment will be in St. Michael Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary at Pellerin Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services.
A resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Lasseigne died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, at her residence.
Mrs. Lasseigne is survived by her husband, Whitney Lasseigne Sr. of St. Martinville; one son, Whitney "Sonny" Lasseigne Jr. of St. Martinville; four daughters, Mrs. Tommy (Cynthia) Latiolais, Mrs. Kennon (Kristine) Hebert and Mrs. Paul (Jo Ellen) Pritchard, all of St. Martinville, and Mrs. Michael (Tina) Bourque of Catahoula; two sisters, Helen Tabor of St. Martinville and Dorothy Thibodeaux of Houston; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Eude Oubre and Helen Hebert Oubre; and one brother, Louis Patrick Oubre.

Services are pending for Mable Provost, 47, who died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Preston J. Viator
Services for Preston Joseph Viator, 62, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with the Rev. Conley Bertrand officiating. interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today from 6 to 10 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Viator died at 7:34 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.
He was the retired owner of Queen City Armature Works in New Iberia. In addition, he was a U.S. Navy veteran having served on the USS Shangri La.
Mr. Viator is survived by his wife, Barbara Holley Viator of New Iberia; two daughters, DesLey Viator Plaisance of Baker and Carolyn Jo Viator of Smyrna, Ga.; one sister, Barbara Boudreaux of New Iberia; one brother, Aldes Viator Jr. of St. Martinville; one son-in-law, Mark D. Plaisance of Baker; and one grandchild, Marcus Joseph Plaisance of Baker.
Mr. Viator was preceded in death by his father, Aldes Viator Sr.; his mother, Odalie Derouen Viator; and one sister, Virley Jane Viator.
Pallbearers will be family members.

FRANKLIN - Services for Martin Salvador Scelfo Sr., 69, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Assumption.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Ibert's Mortuary Chapel, which will reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services.
A resident of Franklin, Mr. Scelfo died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998.

Wilson Andras Jr.
LYDIA - Services for Wilson "T-Neg" Andras Jr., 50, will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with the Rev. Manny Fernandez officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation was from 5 p.m. until midnight Saturday and from 8 a.m. today until time of services, with a 6 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will be open tonight.
A native of Lafayette and resident of Lydia, Mr. Andras died at 2 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, at his home.
He was a leadman with Morton Salt where he worked for 27 years.
Mr. Andras is survived by his wife, Janelle Marie Andras of Lydia; one daughter, Angela Andras of Lydia; two sons, Chris Andras Sr. of Lydia and Troy Andras Sr. of New Iberia; two brothers, Danny Andras Sr. of Lydia and David Andras Sr. of Rynella; one sister, Dianne A. Darden of Charenton; a maternal grandmother, Anita Rawlins of Lydia, and nine grandchildren.
Mr. Andras was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Marjorie Rawlins Andras Sr.; and his maternal grandfather, William "Pee Wee" Rawlins.
Pallbearers will be Troy Andras Sr., Chris Andras Sr., Danny Andras Sr., David Andras Sr., Roy Darden Jr., Curtis Viator and Ernest Viator.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Lee Andras, Kevin Viator, Neil Andras, William Andras, Chris Andras Jr., David Andras Jr., Troy Andras Jr., Cody Bourque, Kirk Langla, Larry Romero and Gerald Viator.

FRANKLIN - Services for Lois Smith May, 79, were at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robinson officiating. interment was in the Franklin Cemetery.
Visitation was from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
A native of Franklin, Mrs. May died Thursday, Feb. 5, 1998, at Corner Stone South Nursing Home in Lafayette.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Franklin.
Mrs. May is survived by two sons, Larry May of Lafayette and Kenneth May of Jeanerette; one daughter, Mrs. Pat Battaglia of Lafayette; two brothers, Clarence Smith and Merrill J. Smith, both of Franklin; two sisters, Gertilee Smith Williams of Franklin and Blanche Smith Morano of Jackson , Miss.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. May was preceded in death by her parents, James and Blanche LeBlanc Smith; and her husband, Taylor J. May.

A resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Halphen died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia.
Mrs. Halphen is survived by three sons, Dr. Gerald H. Halphen and Dr. Michael F. Halphen, both of New Iberia, and Charles B. Halphen of Lafayette; one brother, Charles Bienvenu Jr. of St. Martinville, and Mrs. Leonard "Lou" Dauterive of Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Halphen was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Halphen; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bienvenu; two sisters, Elmire Beslin and Camille Donlon; and one brother, Martial Beinvenu.
