Corinne B. Landry
JEANERETTE - Services for Mrs. Ernest J. "E.J." Landry Sr., 79, the former Corinne Broussard, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Derise officiating. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David and Landry Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.
A native of Glenco and resident of McMinnville, Tenn., Mrs. Landry died at 8:26 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at her daughter's residence in McMinnville.
She is survived by seven sons, John Dale Landry and Ernest J. Landry Jr., both of Jeanerette, Marcel J. Landry, Ray A. Landry and Rudy T. Landry, all of New Iberia, Robert P. Landry of Bakersville, Calif., and Rodney R. Landry of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Valley (Patricia Ann) Landry McGuinn of New Iberia and Mrs. James (Linda) Nicoletti of McMinnville; one sister, Mrs. Melvin (Marion) Hasha of Houston; 34 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Landry was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest J. "E.J." Landry Sr.; her parents, Gaston and Aglia Hebert Broussard; and one brother, S.J. Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Robert P. Landry, Ray A. Landry, Rodney R. Landry, Rudy T. Landry, Valley McGuinn and Jim Nicoletti.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, John Dale Landry and Ernest J. Landry Jr.

X Phally Souvannarath
Services for X Phally Souvannarath, 83, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at David and Jacquemoud Funeral Home with the Rev. A-Jon Boualian officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-11 p.m. today at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.
A native of Paksane, Loas, and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Souvannarath died at 8:33 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center.
She was a housewife.
Mrs. Souvannarath is survived by one son, Outha Souvannarath of Bartow, Fla.; two daughters, Simma Khououdom of Loas and Bounta Souvannarath of New Iberia; one brother, Mee of Paksane, Loas; one sister, Kham of Paksane; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Xingheuang; her parents, Taon and Tha; one brother, Thong; and one sister, Sida.
Pallbearers will be family members.

Shirley M. Arceneaux
Services for Mrs. Charles Arceneaux, 71, the former Shirley Martin, will begin at 2 p.m. today at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with the Rev. Steven Leblanc officiating. Entombment will be in Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home until the time of services.
A native of St. Mary Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Arceneaux died at 2:58 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center.
She was a housewife and a past member of the Ladies Auxillary at Iberia Medical Center.
Mrs. Arceneaux is survived by her husband, Charles Arceneaux of New Iberia; one son, Mark Anthony Arceneaux of Humble, Texas ; one daughter, Mrs. Pat (Phyllis) Arceneaux Baldridge of New Iberia; one brother, Sidney J. Martin of Arabi; four sisters, Lily Martin Breaux of Lake Charles, Genevieve Martin Crochet of New Iberia, Mamie Martin Crochet and Lenora Martin Guidry, both of Lydia; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Effie Trimble Martin; and one granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Arceneaux.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Baldridge, Mark Arceneaux II, Jamie Baldridge, Will Langlinais, Butch Breaux and Rodney Breaux.

Josephine L. Mouton
Services for Josephine L. Mouton, 84, the former Josephine Ledet, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Eric Groner officiating. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum.
Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday with a 10 a.m. rosary at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel, until the time of services.
A resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Mouton died at 3:10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 1998, at Lafayette General Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church.
Mrs. Mouton is survived by three daughters, Lillian Phillips and Lydia Trahan, both of New Iberia, and Helen Kelly of Port Arthur, Texas ; two brothers, Edmond Ledet of Detroit, and Alfred Ledet of Las Vegas; two sisters, Theresa Livingston of New Iberia and Enola Jones of San Diego; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Mouton; her parents, Vistage Ledet and Lydia Vallot Ledet; three brothers, John Ledet, George Ledet and Bazile Ledet; and one sister, Georgianna Stewart.
Pallbearers will be Martin Derbigney, David Trahan, John Melvin Trahan Jr., Ronnie Trahan, Alton Joseph Trahan and Kenneth Livingston.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Ledet, Allen Ledet, Melvin Joseph Trahan, Oscar Kelly, Easley Phillips and John Melvin Trahan Sr.

Warren Gaspard III
Services for Warren Gaspard III, 2 days, will begin at 2 p.m. today at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with the Rev. Daniel Picard officiating. interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at David Funeral Home.
A resident of New Iberia, Warren died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, at Women's and Children Hospital in Lafayette.
He is survived by his parents, Warren Gaspard and Judy Prather Gaspard of New Iberia; one sister, Krystian Gaspard of New Iberia; his paternal grandparents, Warren and Sandra Gaspard Sr. of New Iberia; his maternal grandparents, Billy and Judy Prather of New Iberia; his paternal great-grandparents, Minos and Janet Delcambre of New Iberia; and his maternal great-grandparents, Garlan and Ruth Prather of DeRidder; and his maternal great-grandmother, Emma Havner of Sulphur Springs Texas .
Pallbearers will be family members.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to offset funeral cost.

Emmitt Spurlock Sr.
BATON ROUGE - Services for Rev. Emmitt Spurlock Sr., will begin at 12 p.m. Saturday at Fourth District Baptist Church with members of the Fourth District Baptist Association officiating. Entombment will be in the Roselawn Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 12-6 p.m. today at the Miller and Daughter Mortuary Edward Green Chapel, and from 8:15-10 p.m. at the church with services conducted by the EBR Parish Ministers Conference.
A native and resident of Baton Rouge, Rev. Spurlock died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
He was the pastor of Greater Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, the Mount Zion on the Hill Baptist Church in Port Hudson and the Beach Grove Baptist Church in Clinton.
Rev. Spurlock is survived by his wife, Lena K. Spurlock of Baton Rouge; six sons, Emmitt Spurlock Jr. of New Iberia, Gus Spurlock Sr., Glenn Spurlock Sr. and Rev. Keno Spurlock, all of Baton Rouge, Rev. Larry Spurlock Sr. of Atlanta and Donald Spurlock Sr. of Richland, Va.; two daughters, Marie A. Robinson and Letecia S. Miles of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Horace Spurlock Sr. and Alphonse Spurlock Sr., both of New Orleans; two sisters, Celestine Sanders and Mary Clemmons, both of New Orleans; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Henry Spurlock; five brothers; and two sisters.
