Malik L. Narisse
Graveside services for infant Malik Lavante Narisse will begin at 10 a.m. today at Holy Family Cemetery.
Malik died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.
He is survived by his father, Willie Narisse Jr. of Jeanerette; his mother, Monique Dauphine of Jeanerette; three brothers, Maurice Janosik, Miguel Martin and Michael Martin Jr., all of Jeanerette; his maternal grandparents, Alvin Dauphine of Avery Island, and Rose Dauphine of Jeanerette; his maternal great-grandmother, Viola Lewis of Jeanerette; his paternal grandparents, Willie and Ethel Narisse Sr. of Baldwin; three aunts, Patricia Dauphine and Mona Gray, both of Jeanerette and Faye Narisse of Baldwin; and five uncles, Jules Dauphine, Kenneth Dauphine and Lance Dauphine, all of Jeanerette, Bobby Narisse of Lafayette and Kelvin Narisse of New Jersey.

Wallace J. Menard
COTEAU - Services for Wallace Joseph Menard, 65, will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Thibodeaux officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday until the time of services.
A native of Youngsville and resident of Coteau, Mr. Menard died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998.
He was a retired Iberia Parish employee with 13 years of service.
Mr. Menard is survived by one brother, Clarence Menard of Broussard; six sisters, Mrs. Eunice Romero, Mrs. Eula Gary and Mrs. Lucille Gary, all of Lafayette, Mrs. Martha Racca of Broussard, Mrs. Theresa LeBlanc of New Iberia and Mrs. Hazel Bourque of Coteau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fucien and Clodia Touchet Menard.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Bourque, LeRoy Gary, Ricky Joshua Bourque, Chad Gary, Leonard LeBlanc and Jonathan Savoy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Dore, Krystal Dore and Taylor Bourque.

ST. MARTINVILLE - Services for Octave Labbe, 82, will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Notre Dame Catholic Church with the Rev. John Kwame Tumawu officiating. interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery
in Broussard.
Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home, which will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Labbe died at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at Gary Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
He is survived by two sisters, Eunice George of New Iberia and Rena Labbe Augullard of Breaux Bridge.
Mr. Labbe was preceded in death by his father, Paul Labbe; his mother, Olympe Normand; three brothers, Alfred Labbe, Francis Labbe and Arthur Labbe; and two sisters, Louise Stoute and Elizabeth Labbe.
Pallbearers will be friends and family members.

Dora M. Burgess
CHARENTON - Services for Dora Mora Burgess were held at 10 a.m. today at Little Pass Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Hodnett officiating. interment was in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
A native of Charenton and resident of the Chitimacha Reservation, Mrs. Burgess died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy M. Burgess of the Chitimacha Reservation; three sons, Willard Burgess of Friendswood, Texas , Clifford Burgess of Baldwin and Bradford Burgess of the Chitimacha Reservation; two daughters, Mamie Soprano and Ardith Soprano of the Chitimacha Reservation; one brother, Howard Mora Sr. of the Chitimacha Reservation; one sister, Elda Talley of the Chitimacha Reservation; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Burgess was preceded in death by her parents, Frank August Mora and Ella Marcotte Mora; two brothers, William Mora Sr. and Frank Ben Mora; and one sister, Margret Acosta.

Services for Mrs. George J. Gros, 95, the former Lula Boudreaux, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with the Deacon Ken Waguespack officiating. interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
A native of Labadieville, former resident of Weeks Island and resident of New Iberia for 35 years, Mrs. Gros died at 2:55 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at a New Iberia hospital.
She is survived by two sons, LeRoy M. Gros and Dudley A. Gros both of New Iberia; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gros was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Gros; her parents, Pavy and Laura Arcement Boudreaux; one daughter, Sadie Mae Morgan; one grandson, Wesley Gros; one great-granddaughter, Shannon E. Tuite; one brother, Eddie Boudreaux; and two sisters, Ora Lasseigne and Jeanne Diaz.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Jeannie died at 2:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at her residence.
She was a student at New Iberia Senior High, enrolled in the special education program.
Jeannie is survived by her mother, Jeanette Porrier of New Iberia; two brothers, Billy Landry and David Landry, both of New Iberia; one sister, Pamela Landry of New Iberia; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Porrier of New Iberia.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Landry.
Pallbearers will be Clifton Porrier, Billy Landry, Anthony Galentine, Huey Porrier, Jospeh Turner Jr. and Dennis Turner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Porrier and Calvin Segura Sr.
