Services for Mrs. Clement Jacquet Sr., 83, the former Lillian Johnson , will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at the St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas James officiating. interment will be in the St. Edward Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7:30 a.m. until time of services Monday with a rosary at 10 a.m. at the Journet-Bolden Funeral Home.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Jacquet died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998.
Mrs. Jacquet is survived by her son, Martin Edward Jacquet of New Iberia; two daughters, Theresa J. Hector of Olivier and Leona Guillory of New Iberia; one stepdaughter, Audry Coleman of Miami; 29 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement Jacquet Sr.; her father, Henry Johnson Sr.; her mother, Louisa Francis; two sons, Alfred Jacquet and Clement Jacquet Jr.; three brothers, and five sisters.
Pallbearers are Roger Hector M.D., Mark Guillory, Mack Guillory Jr., Dwayne Jacquet, Rodney Jacquet and Brent Vincent. Honorary pallbearers are Mack Guillory Sr., Robert Hector Sr., Robert Hector Jr., Alfred Jacquet Jr., Larry Jacquet, Martin Jacquet, Peter Olivier Jr. and Glen Broussard.

Loraine D. LaBauve
Services for Mrs. Roy "Black" LaBauve, 82, the former Loraine David, will begin at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the St. Marcellus Catholic Church with the Rev. Conley Bertrand and Rev. Raymond Robitaille officiating. interment will be in the St. Marcellus Cemetery
in Rynella.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen Monday at 11 a.m. until time of services.
A native of Iberia Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. LaBauve died at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998 at the Consolata Nursing Home in New Iberia.
Mrs. LaBauve was a housewife. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Marcellus Catholic Church and was a religion teacher for 40 years at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and St. Marcellus Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sister, Irene D. Robin of New Iberia; one nephew, Glenn Grey of New Iberia; two nieces, Billie Jean Champagne, and Mary Ann David, both of New Iberia.
Mrs. LaBauve was preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Black" LaBauve; her parents, Alphonse and Malvina Deslatte David; one brother, Lory David, and one sister, Mae D. Dionne
Pallbearers will be members of the family.

JENNINGS - Services for Edward J. "Ed" Segura, 82, will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with the Rev. Marshall Boulet officiating. interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. today with a rosary at 6 p.m. and a scripture service at 7 p.m. at the Matthews and Son Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday until time of services.
A native of New Iberia and a resident of Jennings, Mr. Segura died at 10:25 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998 at the Jennings American Legion Hospital.
Mr. Segura is survived by his wife, Dorothy Segura of Jennings; one brother, Francis Segura of New Iberia; two nephews, Stephen Earl Segura of New Iberia, and Robert Wayne Segura of Beaumont, Texas , and one niece, Mrs. James (Mary Francis) Guilbeau of Scott.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady Immaculate School, Digger Segura Memorial Golf Tournament, University of Southwestern Louisiana , or the charity of choice.

Services for Helen Hamous, 60, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville, Texas
A native of Gary, Indiana, and resident of Kirbyville, Mrs. Hamous died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998 at her residence.
Mrs. Hamous is survived by her mother, Helen Schouten of Mulga, Ala.; four sons, Earl Dorman of Sulphur; Mike Dorman of Sam Rayburn, Texas , and Kirk Dorman and Roger Dorman, both of Kirbyville; five daughters, Debbie Broussard of New Iberia; Belinda Vitale of Post Falls, Idaho; Melody Gendron of Fort Polk, and Becky Hamous and Bobbie Stott, both of Jasper, Texas ; one brother, Ronald Schouten of Merrillville, Ind.; two sisters, Marie Krill of Spring Hill, Fla., and Marcelline Searcy of Mulga; 20 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Abra Romero, 87, the former Amelia Derouen, will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Rev. William Rogalla officiating. interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be between 9:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday until the time of services.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Romero died at 12:35 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at the Iberia Medical Center.
She was a housewife.
Mrs. Romero is survived by two daughters, Gertrude Freyou of New Iberia and Jeanette Hebert of Port Allen; a son, Freddie Romero of Coteau; a brother, Lelies Derouen of New Iberia; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Romero was preceded in death by her husband, Abra Romero; her father, Alfred Derouen; her mother, Claire Bourgeois-Derouen; three brothers, Alcide Derouen, Charles Derouen and Larry Derouen; a grandson, Steven Romero, and a great-grandson, Perry Freeman.

A native of Vermilion Parish and resident of Erath, Broussard died at 7:52 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 1998 at Abbeville General Hospital.

CHARENTON - Services for Ralph Charles Darden, 50, will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chitimacha School Gymnasium with the Rev. Bobby Hodnett officiating. interment will be in the Chitimacha Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-10 p.m. today at Ibert's Mortuary, and resume at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Chitimacha School Gymnasium.
A native of Franklin and resident of Charenton, Mr. Darden died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, in Charenton.
He was the chairman of the Chitimacha Tribe for 84 years.
Mr. Darden is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hodge Darden of Charenton; three sons, Toby Darden and Jules Darden, both of Charenton, and Matt Brown of Marion; one daughter, Naomi Darden Guillory of Charenton; one brother, Harold Darden of Port Allen; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Darden and Martha Broussard Darden.

Mrs. LeBlanc died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at her home.
