Donovan C. Davidson

Services for Donovan Charles Davidson, 3 months, will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Conley Bertrand officiating. interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-10 p.m. today with at 6 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Delcambre, Donovan died at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997.

He is survived by his parents, Donald A. and Christine Stevens Davidson Sr. of Delcambre; two brothers, Dillon D. Davidson and Donovan's twin brother, Donald A. Davidson Jr., both of Delcambre; two sisters, Kristie A. Davidson and Tiffany R. Davidson, both of Delcambre; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Christine Sumner Davidson, both of New Iberia; his maternal grandmother, Belinda Sonnier of New Iberia; his maternal grandfather and step grandmother, Irvin and Dorothy Stevens Jr.

Pallbearers will be Charles Davidson, Irvin Stevens Jr., Gilbert Hoffpauir and Danny Davidson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Davidson and Michael Stevens.

The Evangeline Funeral Home Inc. of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Shannon A. Caulking

Services for Mrs. Theodore Ray "Teddy" Caulking Sr., 27, the former Shannon Albert, will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike McLaurin officiating. interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. today at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Caulking died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997.

She is survived by her husband, Theodore Ray "Teddy" Caulking Sr. of New Iberia; her mother, Patricia Dugan Albert of New Iberia; one son, Teddy Caulking Jr. of New Iberia; two daughters, Christine Albert and Shana Caulking, both of New Iberia; one brother, Duyane Albert of New Iberia; and one sister, Cynthia Barras of New Iberia.

Mrs. Caulking was preceded in death by her father, Harry Albert; her maternal grandparents, Walter and Olive Romero Dugan; and her paternal grandparents, Burton and Edmae Cormier Albert.

Pallbearers will be Gary Garb, Richard Pellerin, Mark Vaughn, Tommy Barras, Alton Albert and Jr. Leger.

Honorary pallbearer will be Duyane Albert.

The Evangeline Funeral Home Inc. of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Lawrence R. Barras

Services for Lawrence Roland Barras, 70, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reggie Ogea officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.

A native of Napoleonville, former resident of Morgan City and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Barras died at 2:43 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, at a New Iberia hospital.

He was employed with J. Ray McDermott Fabricators for 25 years, past member of First Baptist Church in Morgan City and a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Mr. Barras is survived by his wife, Selina Violette Barras of New Iberia; two sons, Mark L. Barras and his wife, Jodi Falgout Barras, both of New Iberia, and Charles E. Peavy II and his wife, Clara Mason Peavy, both of Branson, Mo.; three brothers, Manuel L. Barras of Houston, Allen J. Barras and Earl Barras, both of Morgan City; one sister, Hazel T. Ponds of Dickinson, Texas ; and six grandchildren, Yogi Barras, Brooks Barras and Emily Barras, all of New Iberia; Debbie Peavy, Bridget Peavy and Charles Peavy III, all of Branson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enodis and Esma Aucoin Barras; two brothers; and one sister.

Pallbearers will be Charles Peavy II, Earl Barras, Yogi Barras, Brooks Barras, Mark Barras and Allen Barras.

The Evangeline Funeral Home Inc. of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Verna L. Sigue

LYDIA - Services for Verna L. Sigue, 70, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 6-10 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary at the church, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A native of Frilot Cove and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Sigue died at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center.

She was a member of the Lucky 13 Pokeno Club, the Holy Name Society and the St. Nicholas Catholic Church Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Sigue is survived by her husband, Warren J. Sigue of Patoutville; six sons, James and his wife, Mary B. Sigue, John Sigue, Norbert Sigue, Patrick and his wife, Jolyn V. Sigue and Wesley Sigue, all of Grand Marais, and Troy Sigue of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a special son, Chandrashaker Uchil of Grand Marais; four daughters, Deborah and her husband, James Boutte, Diane and her husband Arthur Cooper III, all of New Orleans, Donna Sigue, Dinah and her husband, Michael Strauss, all of Houston; one sister, Jennie Esnault of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Bernard Lewis of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Charles Lewis of Baton Rouge and Lloyd Lewis of Opelousas; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Jacque Lewis and Theresa Auzenne Lewis.

Pallbearers will be Norbert Sigue, James Sigue, John Sigue, Patrick Sigue, Troy Sigue and Wesley Sigue.

The David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Tommie L. Cherry

Services for Tommie Lee Cherry, 55, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at David Funeral Home with the Rev. Roland Fontenot officiating.

Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A native of Lafayette and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Cherry died at 6:23 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a carpenter.

Mr. Cherry is survived by his wife, Karen Bonin Cherry of New Iberia; four sons, John Cherry, Todd Cherry and William Cherry all of Atlanta, and Tommie Cherry Jr. of Baton Rouge; one stepson, Jesse Romero of New Iberia; two daughters, Jennifer Cherry of New Iberia and Janet Cherry McCullum of Atlanta; two stepdaughters, Jody Romero of Florida and Jessica Romero Trahan of New Iberia; one brother, Lawrence Cherry Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska; three sisters, Cheryl Cheramie of New Iberia, Barbie Fowler LeRouge of New Orleans and Patsy Cherry Pellerin of Baldwin; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Cherry and Mary Bailey Fowler.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Eastin A. LeBlanc

Services for Eastin Antoine LeBlanc , 77, will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with the Rev. Charles Thevis officiating. interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.

A native of Iberia Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mr. LeBlanc died at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center.

He was a retired crane operator for the State of Louisiana , having worked for the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and a World War II, U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. LeBlanc is survived by his wife, Enez Duplantis LeBlanc of New Iberia; three sons, Bryan LeBlanc Sr., Dean LeBlanc Sr., and Steven LeBlanc Sr., all of New Iberia; one foster son, Verness Segura of Erath, two daughters, Mrs. Ted (Margie) Bodin and Mrs. Boogie (Patty) Romero, both of New Iberia; one foster daughter, Mrs. Lenis (LoAnna) Touchet of Coteau; two brothers, Edwin LeBlanc of Delcambre and Irby LeBlanc of Dry Prong; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Aline) Bourque and Mrs. Wildon (Eunice) Landry, both of New Iberia; 23 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert LeBlanc and Anna LeBlanc LeBlanc ; four brothers, Dalton LeBlanc , Dudley LeBlanc , Eudes LeBlanc and Noelus LeBlanc ; and four sisters, Edlay DeRouen, Jeanne Langlinais, Ledie Segura and Nolia Steen.

Pallbearers will be Steven LeBlanc Jr., Bryan LeBlanc Sr., Teddy Bodin, Dean LeBlanc Jr., Dean LeBlanc Sr. and Steven LeBlanc Sr.

Eugenia Hebert

ERATH - Services for Eugenia "Coon" Hebert, 83, will begin at 3 p.m. today at David and Broussard Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

Visitation will be at the funeral home until the time of services.

A native and resident of Erath, Mr. Hebert died at 6:52 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 1998, at Abbeville General Hospital.

The David and Broussard Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of arrangements.

Felix Breaux

LOREAUVILLE - Services for Felix Breaux, 91, will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Thevis officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home of Loreauville, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

A native and resident of Loreauville, Mr. Breaux died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center.

He was a retired bus driver for Iberia Parish School Board, having served for 25 years. Mr. Breaux was a Loreauville constable for 30 years, he owned and operated Felo's Grocery Store in Loreauville for many years, was a sugar cane farmer and a member of the Louisiana School Bus Operator's Association.

Mr. Breaux is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Breaux of Loreauville; two sons, Irvin F. Breaux of Loreauville and Russell J. Breaux of Port Arthur, Texas ; three brothers, Leonard Breaux of New Iberia, Lester Breaux of Port Arthur and Ferdinand Breaux Jr. of Loreauville; three sisters, Lylia Boutte and Stella Broussard, both of New Iberia, and Anite Gondron of Loreauville; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand Breaux Sr. and Dozia Gonsoulin Breaux; his first wife, Indiana Dugas Breaux; one brother, Bertin Breaux; and two sisters, Etta Dugas and Jeanne Dugas.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Hoffpauir, Johnny Boudreaux, Kenneth Boudreaux, Melvin Dugas, Donald "Huff" Hoffpauir and Dusty Hoffpauir.

The David Funeral Home of Loreauville is in charge of arrangements.
