Luther P. Palumbo Sr.
Services for Luther Peter Palumbo Sr., 81, will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Detig officiating. Entombment will be in the Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services.
A native of Abbeville and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Palumbo died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998 in a local hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Campbell Palumbo of New Iberia; two sons, Virgil P. Palumbo of New Iberia and Luther "Sonny" P. Palumbo Jr. of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Joyce) Breaux of New Iberia; two brothers, Eldridge Palumbo of Abbeville and Murphy Palumbo of Franklin; one sister, Myrtle P. Campbell of Nederland, Texas ; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Palumbo was preceded in death by his parents, Cynace and Bridgett Theriot Palumbo; six brothers, General Palumbo, Joseph Palumbo, Antoine Palumbo, Isaac Palumbo, Hubert Palumbo and Herbert Palumbo; and three sisters, Melva P. Harrinton, Melvina P. Guidry and Elvina P. Decuir.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Palumbo, Stuart Breaux, Hamilton Mitchell, Nicky Mitchell, Norman Campbell and Joey Veazey.

Isaure B. Bienvenu
ST. MARTINVILLE - Services for Isaure Blanchard Bienvenu, 83, were held at 11 a.m. today at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. interment was in the St. Michael Cemetery.
A resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Bienvenu died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at a St. Martinville nursing home.
She is survived by two sons, retired Judge C. Thomas Bienvenu Jr. and John B. Bienvenu, both of St. Martinville; one daughter, Mrs. Harold J. (Gloria) Callis of Golden Meadow; and 13 grandchildren.
Mrs. Bienvenu was preceded in death by her husband C. Thomas Bienvenu Sr.; two brothers, Hillary and Anthony "Tony" Blanchard; and two sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Annie) Dejean and Mrs. Sidney (Lenore) LeBlanc .

Robert P. Leake Sr.
ST. FRANCISVILLE- Services for Robert "Bob" Perkins Leake Sr., will begin at 12 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with the Monsignor William Greene officiating. interment will be in the Grace Episcopal Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
A native and resident of St. Francisville, Mr. Leake died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge.
He was a sales representative for Balfour and a graduate of St. Francisville High School and LSU, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order, the LSU "L" Club, the LSU varsity baseball team and the 1968 All-SEC Baseball Team. He was also a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and the Baton Rouge Assembly.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Cestia Leake; his mother, Lucille Perkins Leake; two sons, and a daughter-in-law, Robert "Bobee" P. Leake Jr. and Catherine Cookston Leake and Hunter Cestia Leake; a daughter, Caroline Sylvia Leake; one sister and brother-in-law, Lucie Leake Cassity and David A. Cassity; a brother, Robinson Mumford Leake Jr.; one grandchild, Tousley Anne Leake; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Burton E. Cestia Sr. and two brothers-in-law, Burton E. Cestia Jr. and Bud Cestia.
Mr. Leake was preceded in death by his father, Robinson Mumford Leake Sr.
Pallbearers will be nephews, David A. Cassity Jr., John L. Cassity, Brian Mackey, Burton E. Cestia III, George Cestia, Stuart Cestia and Ladner Harrison Leake.

ST. MARTINVILLE - Services for Shannon Paul Richard, 18, were held at 11 a.m. today at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. interment was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Richard died at 8:06 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, in a Lafayette hospital.

Deantra G. Vital
Graveside services for infant Deantra Graciana Kwmacie Vital were held at 9 a.m. Saturday, at St. Paul Cemetery.
Deantra died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.
She is survived by her parents, Dewayne Demouchet of New Iberia and Tawana Vital of New Iberia; and two brothers, Kwmae Peter and Deontre Vital, both of New Iberia.
Pallbearers were friends of the family.

A resident of Catahoula, Mr. LeBlanc died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998 in a Lafayette hospital

Mary A. Colgin
Services for Mary Altazera Colgin, 104, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Monsignor Guy Lemoine officiating. interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David and Jacquemoud Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.
A native of New Iberia, Mrs. Colgin, died at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, at IHS of Heritage South Nursing Home.
She was a former bookkeeper at Trappey's, a former member of the Children of Mary, a member of St. Jude Society and taught Catechism in New Iberia for numerous years.
Ms. Colgin was preceded in death by her parents, George Taylor and Marie Segura Colgin; seven brothers, Clarence Colgin, George Colgin, James Colgin, John Colgin, Matt Colgin, Ned Colgin and William Colgin; and four sisters, Selina Colgin, Elise Domingue, Eldora Eells and Alexine Tucker.
Pallbearers will be William "Bill" Verret, Brian Bille, Harry Bille, Lester Gonsoulin, David Lands and Jobe Wright.

Lillian B. Kenner
Services for Mrs. James Ashton Kenner, 76, the former Lillian Bourque will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with the Rev. Steven LeBlanc officiating. interment will be in the Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery
in Jeanerette.
Visitation will be from 2:30-10 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Kenner died at 4:47 a.m. today, Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.
She was a housewife.
Mrs. Kenner is survived by her husband, James Ashton Kenner of New Iberia; one son, James M. Kenner of Dallas, three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Linda) Kenner Dressel and Mrs. Harvey (Gloria) Kenner Romero, both of New Iberia, and Kerrie Kaye Kenner of Dallas; one brother, Godfrey Bourque of New Iberia; two sisters, Joyce Bourque LeBlanc of Jeanerette and Lilly Mae Richard of New Iberia; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcel and Emma Hebert Bourque; one son, Kenneth Kenner; two brothers, Junius Bourque and Warren Bourque; and two sisters, Nellie Mae Lassienge and Mildred Richard.
Pallbearers will be grandsons of Mrs. Kenner.
