Jeanette B. Henry, 44, a native of Franklin and resident of Cottonport, died Friday at her residence.
Funeral services were held today at the chapel at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin.
She is survived by her stepfather, Ivory Williams Sr. of Lake Charles; four sons, Joseph T. Henry, Terry L. Henry and De’Ante R. Henry, all of Arlington, Texas , and Quinten D. Henry of Norfolk, Va.; three brothers, Ivory Williams Jr., Patrick Williams and Ricky Williams, all of Lake Charles; four sisters, Hannah Williams and Bonnie Williams, both of Franklin, and Rose Williams and Iris Williams, both of Lake Charles; and four grandchildren.
She is also survived by devoted aunts, uncles and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jones Funeral Home in Franklin was in charge of arrangements.

Helen Anne Laughlin
Dec. 18, 1949 — Sept. 19, 2004
Helen Laughlin suddenly died early Sunday morning, Sept. 19, 2004, at her residence in Morgan City at 54 years of age. She was born to Mary Catherine Asping Laughlin and the late Earl Laughlin Sr. in Perryton, Texas .
She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Morgan City and of Charity Hospital School of Nursing. Ms. Laughlin began her career as a ward clerk at Lakewood Hospital in Morgan City in 1969. She later was named Director of Nursing for the hospital in 1997. She later continued her career at Teche Regional Medical Center as the Emergency Room Manager and was so until the day she Passed away.
Some of her associations are Charity Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Associates, serving on the board of directors for BYNET — Bayou Teche Community Health Network — and as a member of the Emergency Nurses Association of Louisiana .
She is survived by her mother, Mary Catherine Asping Laughlin; her three sisters, Karen Laughlin, Monica Mancuso and her husband, Bart, and Mary Jo Beadle and her husband, Gary; her two brothers, Earl Laughlin Jr. of Lafayette and Brian Laughlin of Dallas. She also is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dr. Frances Mancuso Chauvin and her husband, Brent Chauvin, Mrs. Mary Mancuso White and her husband, Brett, White , Andrew Mancuso, Luke Mancuso, Mary Catherine Beadle, Gary Beadle Jr., Thomas Beadle, Claire Beadle, Erin Laughlin, Kristin Laughlin and Elizabeth Laughlin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Laughlin Sr.
Visitation will be observed Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. at the church with Father Benny Rebosura officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to BYNET — Bayou Teche Community Health Network, P.O. Box 278, Franklin, LA 70538.

Victor Brunson Jr., a resident of Morgan City, Passed away Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, in Houma at 55 years of age.
Brunson was the son of the late Victor Brunson Sr. and Ruby Smith Brunson. He was born March 9, 1949, in Natchez, Miss.
Visitation will be observed today from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation will resume Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Victor Brunson Jr. will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
He is survived by his sister, Ann Picciola, and her husband, Marco, of Cutoff; his sister, Mary Lou Conrad and her husband, Johnny, of Berwick; his brother, Thomas M. Brunson, and his wife, Kathy, of Morgan City; one niece and seven nephews.
He always will be remembered by his loving family and by all of his friends.

Edward Clayton “Mr. Ed” Mancil, 77, of Amelia, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. He was a Christian by Faith.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was the son of the late Benjamin Mancil and the late Minnie Mancil.
He is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Rita Blanchard Gaudet Mancil of Amelia; four daughters, Wanda King of Gadsden, Ala., Leola Eick and her husband, Steve, of Canandaigua, N.Y., Ursula Crawford and her husband, David, of Bayou Vista, and Susan “Sue” Gaudet of Patterson; seven sons, Benjamin Mancil and his wife, Joan, Troy Mancil and his wife, Carla, and Allen Mancil and his wife, Kim, all of Gadsden, Ala., Monty Gaudet and his wife, Theresa, of Lakeland, Fla., Elmo “E.J.” Gaudet and his wife, Agnes, of Bayou L’Ourse, Ivis Gaudet and his wife, Elaine, of Amelia, and Leander “Peanut” Gaudet and his wife, Teresa, of Stephensville; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren on the way.
Pallbearers to serve will be Elmo “E.J.” Gaudet, Leander Gaudet, Benjamin Mancil, David Crawford, Jake Gaudet and Blaine Gaudet.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Sept. 17, 2004, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at Twin City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at Twin City Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, with the Rev. Gary Aucoin officiating. interment will be at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Amelia.

Mrs. Elaine Theresa Hoffman, 75, was born to the late Aristile Landry and Orileen Pennison Landry Sept. 9, 1928, in Bayou L’Ourse. She was a resident of Bayou L’Ourse and sadly Passed away Sept. 15, 2004, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Elaine Hoffman was a retired LPN for Lakewood Medical Center where she spent many years, after which she became a private duty nurse. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia.
She is survived by her four sons, Herman Hoffman Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Marrero, Reginald Hoffman and his wife, Monica, and Hugh Hoffman, all of Bayou L’Ourse, and Kevin Hoffman and his wife, Swaantje, of Gonzales; her two daughters, Lisa Landry of Meridian, Miss., and Rebecca Tisdale of Bayou L’Ourse. She also is survived by her 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia at 2 p.m. Saturday with Father Greg Fratt officiating.
Mrs. Elaine Hoffman will be laid to rest in the St. Andrew Cemetery.

Peggy Ann Kidder Duhon, 47, a native of Arnaudville and resident of Bayou L’Ourse, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia.
Peggy loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was a kind and loving woman that always put others ahead of herself. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh with her jokes, wit and charm.
She loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. Her love for the outdoors was evident by her passion for collecting turtles.
Peggy was a strong woman that refused to let her ill bring her down. She was a constant source of hope and strength for her family and friends. Her drive was to live to see the birth of her grandson. Peggy … MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
She was a loving wife and mother, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was the daughter of the late Easton Kidder and Lucille Guidry Kidder.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 26 years, Terry Duhon of Bayou L’Ourse; four daughters, Brandy Bailey and her husband, Scott, of Morgan City, and Terri Thibodeaux and her husband, Toby, Brittany Duhon, and Tabatha Duhon, all of Bayou L’Ourse; one son, Brian Blankenship of Berwick; two sisters, Nancy Rollins and her husband, Willie, and Paula Benoit and her husband, Donald, all of Bayou L’Ourse; one brother, Tommy Kidder and his wife, Amy, of Bayou L’Ourse; and four grandchildren, Holden Thibodeaux, Scottie Bailey, Dakota Bailey and Tristyn Blankenship.
Pallbearers to serve will be Brian Blankenship, Kenny Mire, Tommy Kidder, Thomas Kidder, Willie Rollins and Willie Joe Rollins.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today, Sept. 17, 2004, with a rosary to be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday morning, Sept. 18, 2004, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Twin City Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, with the Rev. Greg Fratt officiating. interment will be at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Amelia.

Anna Mae Malbrough Breaux, 84, a native of Houma, resident of Thibodaux and former resident of Berwick, died Sept. 12.
Visitation will be Saturday from 8 a.m. until funeral services begin at 1 p.m. at the Falgout Funeral Home chapel in Houma. Burial will be in the St. Gertrude Cemetery in Des Allemands.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bryan (Paula) Sampey of Houma and Mrs. Barry (Susan) Chauvin of North Carolina; two sisters, Rose Taranto and Hilda Vial Madere; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, a brother and a stepbrother.
Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.

Darren John Boudreaux, 33, a resident of Morgan City, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, from complications stemming from a spinal cord injury sustained in an accident two years ago.
As a quadriplegic, Darren was paralyzed from the chest down. He did not have the use of his hands, yet with a little bit of ingenuity and an inexhaustible supply of Velcro* supplied by his aunt, Charlene Gaddis, he was able to use power tools to build lovely chests and jewelry boxes.
Prior to his accident, Darren was an avid sportsman. He loved hunting and fishing. He never shied away from adventure and he took it to the edge.
Generous to a fault, loving of children and with a special empathy for the elderly, he will be missed by many.
His survivors include his beloved daughter, Britne; his father, Roy Boudreaux Jr. of Morgan City; his mother, Karen Gordon and stepfather, Jeff Gordon of Houston; his sister, Tracie Boudreaux and her son, Michael, of Houston; his paternal grandmother, maternal grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roy Boudreaux Sr.
The family gratefully acknowledges the loving care provided by Lisa Jones and Aileen Romero.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Internment will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Al Charles Hartman, 76, a native and resident of Patterson, died Thursday at 12:50 p.m. at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. today at Good Hope with burial in the Home Industrial Cemetery in Patterson.
He was a member of Mount Pisgah Lodge 40 and employed by J. Ray McDermott for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Cleaudry Tarleton Hartman of Patterson; two sons, Gregory Hartman of Berwick and Kerry Gant of Patterson; four daughters, Shirley Ruth Hartman- Washington , Degra Gant and Algene Brown, all of Patterson, and Lakita Bennett of Patterson; one daughter he reared, Carolyn Verdun of Patterson; one brother, Michael Hartman of Patterson; two sisters, Doris Darnell of Patterson and Gladys Hartman of Tucson, Ariz.; five godchildren, seven sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
