Barney “Bonnie” Barrow Jr., 51, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Patterson, died Saturday at 11:58 a.m. at Leonard Chabert Medical Center in Houma.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson. Barrow’s remains will be cremated.
He is survived by one brother, Allen Griffin of Kansas City, Kan.; five aunts and uncles, Dorothy LaSalle, Diane Johnson and Rudolph Vilo, all of Patterson, Warren Vilo of Kansas City, Kan., and Dr. James Vilo of Hayward, Calif.; and a devoted cousin, Patrick LaSalle of Patterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola Vilo Barrow and Barney Barrow Sr.

Eulalie Elizabeth LeBlanc , 96, was born in St. Martinville on Dec. 6, 1907, to the late Vincent and Felice LeBlanc . Eulalie Passed away Nov. 22, 2004, as a resident of Patterson Health Care.
Above all her life’s accomplishments and achievements, her daily attendance at Mass was first and foremost in her life. She was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. She was an active member of the Altar Society, Lady Star of the Sea, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Come Lord Jesus and a helper at The Sacred Heart Thrift Store.
Along with her husband, she proudly poured herself into running the City Park Hotel & Café for over 27 years.
In this lady of wisdom her family would seek and find an endless source of unimaginable strength and security. She instilled in her family reverence for the Lord and the importance of daily prayers. She would pray the rosary each day for her family. She devoted countless hours in prayer for our government and its leaders. She will be sadly missed by all those that were made better by knowing this wonderful lady.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Gladys) Rhodes and Mrs. Rudolph (Jeanette) DeHart, both of Bayou Vista; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Solonie LeBlanc ; and one son, William “Bill” LeBlanc .
A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed today, Nov. 23, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday she will be brought to Sacred Heart Catholic Church were she devoted a lifetime of service and love at 8 a.m. The family will receive friends there until 10 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 10 a.m. with Father Bennie conducting. Following Mass, burial will take place in St. Martinville at St. Martin Latour Cemetery.
Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City has been placed in charge of the arrangements.

Lorraine Wilson Evans, 85, a native of Chatanooga, Tenn., and a resident of Schriever, died at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the funeral Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Chacahoula.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.
She is survived by five sons, Earl Raby of Houston, Evon Raby of Bayou L’Ourse, Charles Evans Sr. of Berwick and Mike Evans Sr. and Frank Evans Sr., both of Chacahoula; her twin sister, Katrina Broussard of Jackson , Miss.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one son.
Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.

Brenda Jarrett Bailey
Born on Aug. 8, 1941
The Lord called her home on Nov. 24, 2004
Brenda Joyce Jarrett Bailey, 63 years of age, a lifelong resident of Morgan City who was born Aug. 8, 1941, to the late Lloyd and Zola Jarrett, went to her heavenly reward Nov. 24, 2004, in Morgan City.
She will be known for touching the lives of so many people with her generous, warm heart and loving smile. She will always be remembered for her many gifts of making people feel special.
She was the owner of Brenda’s Beauty Shop in Morgan City for many years and was employed part-time as a hostess and public relations expert at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City.
She loved life and lived it with abundant passion. Brenda lived her life as though not her own but poured her energies into that which she loved, her family.
She was a pillar of unimaginable strength for her family and the community. In this lady of wisdom, her family and friends would seek and find guidance and wise counsel for their lives whether they asked for it or not.
Brenda was a faithful parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City and a dedicated member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
MawMaw Brenda will always be remembered as the No. 1 Fan of Dixie Youth Baseball.
Brenda is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, John F. Bailey Sr.; her children and their spouses, Derek Jarrett and his wife, Margaret, of Morgan City, Velvet Mendenhall and her husband, Walter, of Mobile, Ala., and John Bailey Jr. and his wife, Jenny, of Morgan City; her grandchildren, Anjelica Jarrett, Eric Mendenhall and his wife, Lindsey, Gary Lundy, Jaron Bailey and John Bailey; and her great-grandchild, Dayton Nicholas Mendenhall.
Brenda’s surviving family also includes her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Bailey of Morgan City; aunts, Aline Mayon of Gibson, Yalonde Breaux of Berwick, Margaret Russo of Morgan City and Vergie “Cookie” Duval of Rockport, Texas ; uncles, Fert Daigle and Sonny Husband, both of Morgan City; sister and brothers-in-law, Janelle and Bob Nethery of Hammond, Robin and Ricky Jeansonne of Lafayette and Rodney Bailey of Morgan City; nephews, Jude Bailey of Morgan City, Robbie Nethery and wife, Carrie, and their children, Amanda and Alexis, Brad Nethery and Sean Clary; nieces, Corrie Nethery and her children, Jordan, Hanna and Jamie of Hammond, Tiffany Guidry and her child Gage and Tracy Clary; several other close family members; and numerous friends and co-workers throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her loving father and mother, Lloyd and Zola Jarrett; father-in-law, Robert Bailey; brother-in-law, Keith Bailey; aunts, Rilma Daigle and Evanna Woodard; and uncles, Kenneth Breaux and Merlin Mayon Sr.
A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited by the Catholic Daughters at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City.
She will be brought to Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City where she devoted a lifetime of service and love. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to noon.
A Mass will be conducted by Father Etienne LeBlanc commencing at noon.
Mrs. Brenda will be sadly missed by all those who were made better by knowing this wonderful lady.

Henry Paul Tabor Sr.
Nov. 28, 1955 – Nov. 23, 2004
Henry Paul Tabor Sr., 48, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at his residence in Morgan City. He was a Baptist by faith.
Henry loved life and the pleasures life had to offer. He was a strong-willed man that loved his friends and family and always went out of his way to put others first. He had a great sense of humor and the ability to make you laugh.
Paul love the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and camping. He loved Community Coffee and will always be remembered as someone who had to have “dark roast with two Sweet and Lows.” Above all that he loved in this life, nothing compared to the love he had for his family.
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by each life that he touched in his own special way.
He was the son of the late Cornelius Tabor and the late Rose Boudoin Tabor.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 27 years, Cheryl Ann Tabor of Morgan City; three daughters, Star Stone and her husband, Boyd, Stacey Tabor and Henry Hebert and Amber Anslum, all of Morgan City; one son, Henry P. “Bubba” Tabor Jr. of Morgan City; three brothers, Cornelius “C.J.” Tabor and his wife, Noa, of Metairie, Perry Tabor and his wife, Hilda “Lollie,” of Bayou Vista and Thomas Tabor of Morgan City; a stepfather, Roland Tabor of Gibson; and three grandchildren, Eric Stone, Jordin Stone and Kasidy Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eric Tabor.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. today, Nov. 26, 2004, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City.
Funeral services will be in the Twin City Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, with Bro. Herb Stanley officiating. interment will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Twin City Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Vera Sanders Andrews, 94, a native of Fernadina Beach, Fla., died Saturday, July 24, 2004, in Houston.
She was a long-time resident of Bayou Vista and a retired cafeteria worker for the St. Mary Parish School Board. She was also a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Morgan City.
She enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends. She always had a special love for all children.
She was the daughter of the late Owen Robert Sanders and the late Isabelle Margaret Davis Sanders.
She is survived by two sons, David Andrews and his wife, Lola, of Bayou Vista, and Bob Dale Andrews of Corpus Christi, Texas ; one daughter-in-law, Betty S. Andrews of Bayou Vista; three daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Percle of Bayou Vista, Myrtis Noble and her husband, Billy, of Corpus Christi, Texas , and Betty Carol Thibodeaux and her husband, Gerald Sr., of Houston.
She is also survived by four siblings, Mrs. Grace Johnson of Yule, Fla., Miss Sarah Sanders and Mrs. Margaret Musselewhite, both of Jackson ville, Fla., and Mrs. Roberta Peterson of Seabring, Fla.
She also had 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Henry Andrews; one daughter, Viola Andrews Bourgeois; and five siblings, Ashley Sanders, Clayton Sanders, Myrtle Murray, Mary Zetterower and Alice Cope; and one son-in-law, Charles Percle Sr.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City.
Visitation will resume Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at 9 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Morgan City with the Rev. David Willoughby officiating.
interment will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Caleb Bartley, 74, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Sunday at 10:45 a.m. at his residence.
He was a United States veteran.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at Ephesians Baptist Church in Morgan City.
Funeral services will be held at the church at noon Saturday. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery where the East St. Mary Funeral Squad will conduct military honors.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Bartley of Morgan City; four sons, Caleb Bartley Jr. of Memphis, Tenn., Gary Bartley of Franklin, and Craig Bartley and Mark Bartley, both of Atlanta; two stepsons, Carl Anthony Ross of Houma and Primos Ross; one daughter, Diane Nico of Centerville; two stepdaughters, Carol Ann Ross of Houma and Debra Joseph; four brothers, Leroy Bartley, Earl Bartley and Charlie Bartley, all of Morgan City, and Ernest Bartley of New York; five sisters, Rosa Stewart and Patricia Ramagos, both of Morgan City, Alberta August of Jeanerette, Lucienda Bartley of New Orleans, and Gertie Mae Anderson of Grand Prairie, Texas ; and eight grandchildren.
Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.

Elwood Joseph “Pop” Scully Sr.
July 12, 1928 – Nov. 28, 2004
Elwood Joseph “Pop” Scully Sr., 76, a native of Bayou Long and a resident of Morgan City, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at his residence in Morgan City. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. He was also a member of Southern Atchafalaya Sportsman Club and the St. Mary Parish AARP.
He was a retired employee of McDermott where he worked for over 31 years as a Fitter Leaderman.
Pop loved life and the many pleasures life had to offer. He loved the outdoors and spent his time trapping, shrimping, crabbing, and catching gators. He loved to spend time fishing and hunting with his son who pridefully says, “Dad wasn’t scared of anything.”
He also loved to cook. Pop Scully will always be remembered as a friendly, loving man that would go out of his way to help others.
Above all that he loved, nothing compared to the love he had for his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him and each life that he touched in his own special way.
He was the son of the late John Scully and the late Noalie Delaune Scully.
He is survived by his loving wife and life partner, Irene Theresa Daigle Scully of Morgan City; one daughter, Carlette Aucoin of Patterson; one son, Elwood J. Scully Jr. of Stephensville; three sisters, Audrey Bailey of Stephensville, Nelda Daigle of Morgan City, and LeAnn Acosta and her husband, Jerry, of Stephensville; three brothers, Leonard “Yan” Scully and his wife, Margie, of Morgan City, Hubert “Shine” Scully and his wife, Gertrude, of Bayou Vista, and Wade Scully of Jackson , Miss.; six grandchildren, Rosland Escude and her husband, Lance, of Lake Charles, Shane Scully and his wife, Heather, of Berwick, Chad Bourgeois and his wife, Stephanie, of Keller, Texas , Randy Prado Jr. of Morgan City, Melissa Aucoin of Patterson, and Paul LaCoste III of Morgan City; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers to serve will be Randy Prado Jr., Paul LaCoste III, Chad Bourgeois, Shane Scully, Melissa Aucoin and Rosland Escude.
Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Dexter Aucoin, Gabe Bourgeois, Travis Romero Jr. and Sean Stewart Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Cathy LaCoste; one brother, Bernie Scully; and his grandmother, Mary Scully.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Nov. 29, 2004, and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at Twin City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be in the Twin City Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, with Father Benny officiating. interment will be at the Morgan City Cemetery.
