Alyssa Michelle Case was born Nov. 8, 1988, and died May 29, 2002.
She was born and lived in Morgan City for 11 years and attended Holy Cross (Morgan City) and Berwick elementary schools. She has been a resident of Lafayette for the last two years and attended St. Cecilia School.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Jean and Bert Cantrell, both of Lafayette; her father, Ron Case of Bayou Vista; three sisters, Bobbie Case of Morgan City, and Ashley Doiron and Abbie Cantrell, both of Lafayette; a brother, Camron Case of Bayou Vista; her maternal grandmother, Mary Bouterie Breaux of Thibodaux; paternal grandfather Larry Case of Patterson; and a special friend, Dustin Minchew.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard Joseph Bouterie, and her paternal grandmother, Lynda Hebert Case.
She was a seventh grade honor student this year at St. Cecilia and an avid reader who loved to dance and cheer.
Family visitation will be Sunday, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City.
Public visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.
Visitation will resume Monday, 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home.
Funeral services Monday will begin at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
Pallbearers will be Ree Case, Rob Case, Nicholas Bouterie, Michael Bouterie, Blake Mouret and Andre Bougni.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the scholarship fund set up in memory of Alyssa at Central Catholic High School in Morgan City.
Books also may be donated to the St. Cecilia School library in Alyssa’s name.
Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.

Angela Aloisio Gianfala, 84, a native of Patterson and resident of Metairie, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at 3:30 a.m. in New Orleans.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2002, from 9 a.m. to service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by a two daughters and sons-in-law, Ninfa and Daniel Caruso of Baton Rouge, and Mary Ann and John Siciliano of Las Vegas; three brothers, Guy Aloisio of Patterson, Rosario "Al" Aloisio of Morgan City and Jimmy Aloisio of Bayou Vista; four sisters, Rosemary Cutrera and Josephine Stansbury, both of Morgan City, Mathilda "Tee" Aloisio of Patterson and Catherine Piro of Mandeville; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Gianfala; her parents, Rosario and Mary Rizzuto Aloisio; two sisters, Anna Rizzuto and Virginia Tringali and a brother, Leonard Aloisio.
Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Paul Darwin Rappmundt, 79, born Oct. 1, 1922, died early Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at his Morgan City residence. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Morgan City.
He was the retired owner of Whit-Mar Fashions and was a member of Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church in Morgan City, the American Legion and the Doric Masonic Lodge. He also was a World War II Navy aviator.
Visitation will be Friday, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at Pharr Chapel.
Funeral services will begin Friday at 3 p.m. at the church with interment following at the Morgan City Cemetery. The St. Mary Parish Funeral Squad will conduct graveside services there.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Rappmundt of Morgan City; one son, Paul T. Rappmundt and his wife, Teresa, of Morgan City; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church Organ Fund.
Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.

Bernice Hebert Guion, 86, a native of Schriever and resident of Morgan City, died Saturday at 5:25 p.m.
Visitation is today from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time at Landry Funeral Home in Thibodaux.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, James F. Guion, Thomas Guion and William Guion; two daughters, Peggy Elizabeth Hayes and Judith Barousse of Morgan City; a brother, Leonard Hebert; and two sisters, Anna Mae Bergeron and Cleon Maronge; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two sisters.
Landry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Louis Edgar Lightsey, 33, a native of Morgan City and resident of Patterson, died Friday at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma.
Visitation today, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., will be at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson and will resume at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Richard Greene officiating. Burial will be in Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery in Patterson.
He is survived by his father, Ronnie Wayne Lightsey Sr. of Patterson; his mother, Emelda Broussard Lightsey of Patterson; two brothers, Ronnie Lightsey and his wife, Kelda, both of Haughton, and Waylon Lightsey of Yuma, Ariz.; one niece, Haley Lightsey of Haughton; one nephew, Joseph Lightsey of Haughton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his paternal grandmother, Emily Lightsey of Bayou Vista; and his maternal grandmother, Amelie Broussard of Morgan City.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Lightsey; his paternal grandfather, Dewitt Lightsey; and his maternal grandfather, Louis Broussard.
Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson is in charge of arrangements.

Dale Joseph Simoneaux, a resident of Pierre Part and native of Baton Rouge, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at the age of 47. He was in the care of his sister, JoBeth.
He was a project manager for ISC Inc.
Visitation was Thursday at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East in Baton Rouge and resumed today at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held this morning at the church. Burial was in the St. Anne Catholic Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Dale Jr.; daughter-in-law, Chrissy; and granddaughter, Daleigh; Torri Simoneaux and their daughter, Samantha; father and stepmother, Roy and Mildred Simoneaux; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Kathy Simoneaux; a brother, Wayne Simoneaux; a sister and brother-in-law, JoBeth and Marshall Fedric; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Politz Simoneaux.
Pallbearers will be Todd Simoneaux, George Simoneaux, Charles Simoneaux, Mark Landry, Tim Politz and Mark Chellette.
Honorary pallbearers are Keith Bergeron, L.A. Landry, Kerry McIlvenna and Camille LaRussa.

Paul M. Sheehan, 62, a native of New Orleans and resident of Port Charlotte, Fla., died Thursday, June 27, at his residence after a short bout with cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Vining Sheehan; four daughters, Joanne Crawley and her husband, Daniel, Tina Richards and her husband, Pete, all of Florida, Michelle Tholen and her husband, Paul, of Okinawa, Japan, and Katrina Leftwich and her husband, Doug, of Bayou Vista; one brother, Charles Sheehan Jr. and his wife, Maria, of Berwick; and a sister, Pat LaCoste and her husband, John, also of Berwick; two stepsons, Linden Richard and his wife, Sandra, of Thibodaux, and Chris Richard and his wife, Jackie, of Pierre Part; one stepdaughter, Anna Knight and her husband, Alan, of North Carolina; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles I. Sheehan Sr. and Anna Evelyn Sheehan.
His remains will be cremated as per his wishes. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mildred Mary Topham Babin, 89, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at 11:30 a.m. at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and resume Tuesday at 8 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Emile and Wanda Babin of Morgan City; one daughter, Lelia B. Levy of Morgan City; two sisters, Carrie T. Dimiceli of Morgan City and Ruth Phillips of New Orleans; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney L. Babin; her parents, Lee and Louise Templet Topham; two sisters, Eunice Geoffrey and Nora Comeaux; and one brother, Herbert J. Topham.
Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.

Raymond "Jughead" Loston Sr., 72, a native and resident of Four Corners, died Saturday at 3:35 p.m. at his residence.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church in Four Corners.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery at 11 a.m. Monday.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret T. Loston of Four Corners; nine sons, Raymond Loston Jr., Donald Ray Loston, Gerald Loston Sr., Ronald Loston, David Loston, Whitney Loston, Joseph Loston, Carl Loston and Freddie Loston, all of Four Corners; one adopted son, John Conner of Four Corners; five daughters, Joyce Loston, Marva Loston and Sarah Loston, all of Four Corners, Connie Loston of Houston and Kimberly Loston of Grand Marais; four brothers, Mitchell Malveaux, Melvin Semien and David Loston, all of Houston and Wilbur Charatain of Port Arthur, Texas ; two foster brothers, Rivers Mitchell of Four Corners and Alton Volter of Houston; five sisters, Beulah Williams of Four Corners, Willie Mae Paul of Port Arthur, Texas , Annie Mae Preston, Ella Mae Loston and Urnell Johnson , all of Houston; two foster sisters, Ora Lee Keal of Sorrell and Doretha Charles of Four Corners; 34 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one son.

Arthur Seales, 77, a native and resident of Amelia, died Thursday at 3:05 p.m. at Leonard Chabert Medical Center in Houma.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City and will resume Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Union Bethel AME Church in Amelia.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Union Bethel Cemetery in Amelia.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Seales of Amelia; two sons, Edward Bilbo of Morgan City and Maurice Bias of Houston; one daughter, Rosa Lee Hall of Houston; and 13 grandchildren.
