Paul Lee Manfre Jr., 48, a resident and native of Morgan City, died Sunday morning at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Wilks Manfre of Morgan City; a daughter, Leah Manfre LaCombe and husband, John LaCombe, of Morgan City; a son, Ryan Paul Manfre of Lafayette; a stepson, Brandon S. Mitchell of Morgan City; his mother, Mary Jean Breaux Waguespack and husband, Robert Waguespack, of Plaquemine; three brothers, Michael W. Manfre of Pineville, Luke P. Manfre of Morgan City, and Christopher M. Manfre of Hammond; two sisters, Paula J. Manfre of Lafayette and Sara Manfre Kidd of Morgan City; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Lee LaCombe and Brett Jacob LaCombe of Morgan City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Lee Manfre Sr.; and a granddaughter, Brooke Andre LaCombe.
Visitation will be observed today at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m.
Visitation will resume Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. interment will be held in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Percy J. Raymond, 90, a native of Morgan City and resident of Chesbrough, died Friday at 9:20 p.m. at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond.
He was a photographer and a veteran of World War II.
Funeral services were held Sunday at McKneely Funeral Home in Amite. Burial was in the Tangipahoa Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Skaggs Raymond of Chesbrough; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Raymond Jackson and Charles L. Jackson of McComb, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Paul Raymond and Delia Henry Raymond; his stepmother, Alice Ganaway Raymond; two brothers, Raymond J. Raymond and Wilbur Raymond; three half-brothers, Alvin Raymond, Lloyd Raymond and Sidney Raymond Jr.; and one half-sister, Betty Ann Raymond Pillaro.
McKneely Funeral Home in Amite was in charge of arrangements.

Webster Lee Jr., 63, a native of St. Joseph and resident of Concord, Calif., died Friday, July 26, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the church with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Faye Lee of Concord, Calif.; two sons, Webster Lee III of Jamaica, N.Y., and Ivan Shawn Lee of Berkley, Calif.; two daughters, Sonya Lee of Jamaica, N.Y., and Gladys Lee Williams of Oregon, Colo.; one brother, Nathan B. Williams of Franklin; and two sisters, Lillie Lucille Lee of New Orleans and Idell L. Stokes of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jones Funeral Home in Franklin is in charge of arrangements.

Ernest F. Paul Jr., 49, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Ragley, died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital in Alexandria.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today at Hargrave Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Nathan Paul of Ragley and Roy Cunningham of Kinder; five sisters, Janie Boudreaux of Berwick, Judy Fabre of Bayou Vista, Ruby Ratcliff of Greenwell Springs, Charlene LeBlanc of Morgan City and Ann Lambert of Bayou Vista; and one grandson, Mykal Chassion of Kinder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Louise Paul and one brother, Joseph Paul.
Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.

Virgil Howard Jr., 6, a native and resident of Franklin, died Monday at 2 p.m. at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Spirit of Liberty Baptist Church on Flattown Road in Charenton.
Burial rites will be read at the church at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Spirit of Liberty Cemetery Saturday.
He is survived by his parents, Sherelle Marie Brown and Virgil Howard Sr., both of Franklin; two brothers, Dedrick Brown and Tyler Howard, both of Franklin; one sister, Brittany Howard of Franklin; his maternal grandparents, Cora Bell Brown and Walter Grimm Sr., both of Franklin; and his paternal grandparents, Gloria Howard and Frank Howard, both of Franklin.
Jones Funeral Home in Franklin is in charge of arrangements.

Donald Thomas Lancon, 33, a native and resident of Morgan City, died today at 3:45 a.m. at his residence.
Visitation Tuesday will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City, continuing Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City.
Funeral services Wednesday will begin at 2 p.m. at the church, followed by burial in the Lancon Family Grave Site at the Morgan City Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Donald T. and Hazel Lancon of Morgan City; a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Chad Abshire, and their children, Andy, Brandy, Tiffany and Jeremy; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne T. and Bobbye Jo, and their children, Emily and Shelby; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Other survivors include two very special families who considered Donnie as a member of their families. They are the Andrew and Marion Jones family of Morgan City and the Mickey and Judy Adams family of Berwick.
He was a charter member of Knights of Columbus Council 12179 of Holy Cross Church and also a charter member of the Msgr. Jules S. Toups Assembly of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alcide and Genevieve Lancon and Armond and Emily Kronlage; his aunt, Adeline Lancon Guichet; and an uncle, Myron J. Lancon.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Adams, Gary Durocher, Wayne Lancon, Kirk Carpenter, Andy Lancon and Chad Abshire.
Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.

Arthur N. Zimmer Jr., 76, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Amite, died Sunday.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Scramuzza Zimmer; six children, Artie Zimmer, Jerry Zimmer, Kenny Zimmer, Randy Zimmer, Karen Zimmer Giglio and Tina Zimmer Seeber; one sister, Lorraine Robinson; one brother, Joseph L. Zimmer; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, beginning at 10 a.m., at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Boulevard in Metairie.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the funeral home, beginning at noon Tuesday. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories.

Clifford Andrew Britt, 88, a native of Timpson, Texas , and a resident of Kilgore, Texas , died Tuesday.
He had a career of 42 years with Gulf Oil Company during which time he lived in several Louisiana cities, including Morgan City. He served with the 250th Field Artillery during World War II where he saw battle in a number of campaigns in France and Germany and was honorably discharged as a decorated war veteran.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pauline Carter Britt of Kilgore; one son, Darrell Britt of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Sharon) Barr of Kilgore; one sister, Margie Frey of Kilgore; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Hospice of Longview.

Mrs. Leon J. Minvielle Jr., the former Irene Voorhies
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Iberia for Mrs. Leon J. Minvielle Jr., the former Irene Voorhies. The Rev. Charles Langlois will officiate.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul E. Voorhies; her mother, Evie Delcambre Voorhies; her brothers, Cornelius P. Voorhies and Richard P. Voorhies; and her sisters, Ruth Voorhies Bourque and Grace Voorhies Spiller.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Leon J. Minvielle Jr.; her sons and their wives, Leon J. Minvielle III of New Iberia and his wife, Anne, and L. Steven Minvielle of Morgan City and his wife, Melissa; her daughters and their husbands, Amy Minvielle Collins of Bayou Gauche and her husband, James, and Mary Minvielle Pesson of Broussard and her husband, Mike; 10 grandchildren, Joey Minvielle, Jennifer Minvielle, Michael Minvielle, Amy Collins Baillio, Kathleen Collins, James J. Collins Jr., Gregory Collins, Laura Minvielle, Caroline Minvielle and Melissa Jo Pesson; and one great-grandchild, Bradley Steven Price.
Pallbearers will be Joey Minvielle, Michael Minvielle, James J. Collins, James J. Collins Jr., Gregory Collins and Mike Pesson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Donald J. Voorhies, Dr. Cornelius P. Voorhies Jr., Dr. Burt Bujard and Evelyn Claire LaBauve.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Evangeline Funeral Home in New Iberia. A Rosary will be said at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Academy of the Sacred Heart at Grand Coteau, P.O. Box 310, Grand Coteau, LA 70541; DeLasalle Christian Brothers Retirement Fund, 1522 Carmel Dr., Lafayette, LA 70501; or Sisters of Mount Carmel, P.O. Box 1160, Lacombe, LA 70445-1160.

Betty Lee Phillips, 64, a native and resident of Berwick, died Tuesday in New Orleans.
Visitation will be Monday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Baldwin.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the Berwick Cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Donald G. Phillips of Houma; a daughter, Gayle Louise Johnson of Morgan City; a sister, Lena Mae Garrison of Berwick; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Otis Mortuary in Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
