Clifton Vernon McKinley, 92, a resident of New Iberia, was born in Oil City, June 14, 1912. Clifton went to his heavenly reward on Nov. 10, 2004, in Lafayette.
His chosen career of 41 years was that of maintenance supervisor for Texaco.
He will be remembered as a wonderful caring man with a big heart. Clifton loved the Lord and was a born again Christian.
He was dedicated to his family and friends, devoting his time to helping all those in need.
Clifton actively gave of himself until he changed addresses to be home safely in the arms of Jesus.
Clifton is survived by three sons, J.D. “Doug” and daughter- in-law, Margie McKinley, of Cornwall, N.Y., Daniel P. Chauvin and his companion, Lil Duhon, of Broussard, Allie P. and daughter-in-law, Julie Chauvin, of Houston; his lovely daughters, Jo-Ellen and son-in-law, Scott Istre, of Abbeville, Gloria and son-in-law, Clarence Hebert, of Bayou Vista, Barbara and son-in-law, Larry Castille, of New Iberia, Carol H. Breaux of Baton Rouge, and Kerry and son-in-law, Ronald Fromenthal, of Gonzales; daughter-in-law Nettie Chauvin of Lafayette; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Cato of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grey Jones McKinley; second wife, Annie Chauvin McKinley; two sisters; one brother; his mother and father; and two daughters, Lois Hebert and Wanda L. Sauce.
A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed today, Nov. 12, 2004, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City, resuming Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Religious services will be conducted in the chapel at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. interment will follow in the Morgan City cemetery.
Hargrave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

David Paul Rice II, at only age 21, went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2004. He was born July 3, 1983, in Morgan City.
As a 2001 graduate of Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia, he earned the rank of lieutenant and was a member of the National Honor Society. Paul was currently attending Sam Houston State University.
Only through a miracle was he born. Throughout his life, Paul touched people all around him by his warmth, honesty and love of life. Paul’s presence in this world may have been brief, but the memories and blessings experienced there from will last for life times.
He is survived by his parents, David P. Rice and Glenda DeHart Rice, and brother Hubert “Lee” Rice II, grandparents Hubert L. Rice, Doylene Tipton Rice, Allen Deslatte and Rena Fabre Deslatte. Also surviving are numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Paul was preceded in death by his grandfather Elton DeHart.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 20, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Berwick followed by graveside services at the Morgan City Cemetery. The Rev. Brad Bullock will officiate the services.
Arrangements have been entrust to Ibert’s Mortuary Inc., Patterson (985) 395-7873).

Anthony Joseph Desormeaux
June 16, 1963 - Dec. 4, 2004
Funeral services for Anthony Joseph Desormeaux, 41, will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Martin & Castille Funeral Home of Scott.
Desormeaux died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at 3:07 a.m. at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
interment will be in the Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Scott.
The Rev. Lee Lamury of Word of Life Family Church in Patterson will conduct the services.
Desormeaux is survived by his mother, Rosa M. Desormeaux; two sisters, Jenny Fanguy and her husband, D.J. Jr., of Bayou Vista and Helen Desormeaux of Berwick; two brothers, Francis Desormeaux and his wife, Leslie Hanks, of Houston, and Tony Desormeaux of Berwick; one stepsister, Diana Faye of Lafayette; one stepbrother, Ronnie Desormeaux of Mire; three nieces, Samantha, Stacey and Toryn; and four nephews, Shane, Brandon, Aaron and Treyton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Antoine Desormeaux; maternal grandparents, Marie Louise and Maurice Rogers; and paternal grandparents, Alice and Joseph Desormeaux.
He was a native of Lafayette and resident of Berwick for 38 years.
He was a loving son, brother and friend to all. He loved the game of baseball.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services Tuesday.
Pallbearers are Francis Desormeaux, Shane Desormeaux, Steve Champagne, Tommy Rogers, Roy Rogers and Jimmy Rogers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin & Castille Funeral Home Inc. of Scott, 337-234-2320.

Joshua Mire, 21, a resident of Bayou Vista born June 6, 1983, in Houma, went to his Heavenly reward Dec. 1, 2004, in Metairie.
Joshua loved life and lived it with abundant passion. He possessed an amazing talent of being a natural-born artist and would spend countless hours with pen and pencil creating masterpieces that will be treasured for generations.
Joshua had the ability of making people feel special. Throughout his life he would bring laughter to those he loved.
He had an appreciation for music and enjoyed watching his dad play his guitar. Joshua will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved this wonderful man.
He is survived by his fathers, Ricky Mire Sr. of Bayou L’Ourse and Gabriel Abshire; his mother, Elizabeth Morgan of Bayou Vista; two brothers, Ricky Mire Jr. and his wife, Alisha, of Bayou Vista and Corey Mire of Morgan City; a sister, Mindi Nicole Mire of Morgan City; eight aunts, Susan Bagwell and Belinda Thompson, both of Ponchatoula, Ollie Ables, Tina Stratton of Schriever, Annette Landiache, Suzette McCall, Eva Guidry, Kathy Helms of Morgan City; two uncles, Toni Latiolais of New Iberia and Ricky Crowson of Amelia; two nieces, Hailey Mire and Hannah Mire, both of Bayou Vista; and maternal grandmother, Katie Sue Helms of Morgan City.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clement and IdaMae Mire; and his uncles, Perry Mire and Charles Crowson.
Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City was entrusted with the arrangements.

Loraine Marie Folse Justilian, 91, a native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Morgan City, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at her residence.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City. She loved to sew and play cards and she loved to help others. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also the loving wife of the late Sidney Joseph Justilian and was the daughter of the late C.P. Folse and Amelie Landry.
She is survived by two daughters, Sydney-Lee Girard and her husband, Raoul, of Morgan City and Linda J. Fontaine and her husband, David, of Destrehan; seven grandchildren, David Robicheaux of Orlando, Fla., Marsha R. Ronsonet and her husband, Danny, of Delcambre, Tracy Girard and his wife, Hope, of Carencro, Raoul Girard Jr. and his wife, Danette, of Stephensville, Keith Girard and his wife, Lynette, of Bayou Vista, L.J. Girard and his wife, Heather, of Bayou Vista, and Michael Fontaine of Destrehan; 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister, Verna F. Strickland and her husband, Milton, of Woodlands, Texas .
Pallbearers will be Tracy Girard, Raoul Girard Jr., L.J. Girard, Michael Fontaine, James Savoy, Michael Folse, Jeff “Bubba” LaCoste Jr. and Michael Raymond Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Girard and Dustin Girard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Henry Folse, C.P. “Bill” Folse Jr. and James Folse; and four sisters, Hortense Folse, Anna Mae F. Elmer Guidry, Ruth F. Guidry and Lena F. Hollier; and her loving husband.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Dec. 6, 2004, with a rosary at 7 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Mass at 11 a.m. with Father Rogers officiating.
interment will be at the Morgan City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Holy Cross Church for Mass.
Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Marion Glen Trahan, 60, a native of Morgan City and resident of Bayou Vista, died Monday Dec. 6, 2004, at 4:30 p.m. at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson.
Visitation will resume Friday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson, with the Rev. Richard Greene officiating. interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Patterson.
Mr. Trahan is survived by his wife, Josephine “Josie” Lipari Trahan of Bayou Vista; two sons, Troy Trahan of Mandeville and Irvin Trahan of Patterson; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Lafleur of Bayou Vista; one brother, Murray Trahan of Patterson; and 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Trahan was preceded in death by his first wife, Gaylen Menard Trahan; one daughter, Tammy Rita Trahan; two brothers, Calvin Trahan and Carol Trahan; his father, Isaac Trahan; and his mother, Melba LeMaire Trahan.
Mr. Trahan retired from Survey Boats after working 40-plus years there.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary Inc. in Patterson, (985) 395-7873.

Reginald “Reggie” Lee Walker, 36, a resident of Bayou Vista born Aug. 11, 1968, in Portland, Ore., Passed away Dec. 8, 2004, at his residence.
Reginald was a Christian by faith and was a member of Twin City Gospel Temple.
Reggie was a graduate of Patterson High School. He was one who knew how to live life to its fullest, although he faced many adversities in life. He would greet this world with his smile.
He played the trombone in the band. Reggie won many awards and certificates for his outstanding music performances during his life. He was chosen as a senior in high school in 1987 to tour Europe with the Spirit of America band.
He is survived by his sister, Rozanna and her husband, William Worley, of Amelia and his niece, Amanda Cassidy of Norfolk, Va., and by all his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Annabel Baker.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Hargrave Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Tiffani Emma Domingue, 35, a native of Lafayette born Sept. 14, 1969, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at her home. A resident of Lafayette, she formerly lived in Morgan City.
Her remains were cremated and a private memorial service was held.
She is survived by her sister, Kasha Ford, and her husband, Edward; two nephews, Gage Ford and Galen Ford; and many friends who love her and will miss her forever.

Stella M. Barron, 57, a native of Franklin and resident of Patterson, died Monday at 8:20 p.m. at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Silton Barron of Patterson; three sons, Levi Vedol III and Michael Vedol, both of Lake Charles, and Orenthal Vedol of Lafayette; one stepson, Stefan Barron of Marksville; two adopted sons, James Addison and Brian Moses, both of Morgan City; two daughters, Andrea Vedol of Morgan City and Yolanda Vedol of Lafayette; one stepdaughter, Shagwanda Barron of Alexandria; and 18 grandchildren.
Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
