Trevan Lucious Jules, infant, a native and resident of Houma, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Cemetery
in Houma.
They are survived by their father, Stanley Jules; their mother, Kathy Coleman; their grandfather, Clarence Jules; their grandmother, Earline McGowan; three brothers, Jarret and Garret Coleman and Stanley Jones Jr.; two sisters, Sherelle and Jasmin Coleman; and one stepsister, Rhonda Lynn Green.
They were preceded in death by their grandmother, Leola Jones; and their grandfather, Lucious McGowan.
Emily Guillot Pitre
Emily Guillot Pitre, 94, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 1999.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with interment in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery

She is survived by her husband, Milton Joseph Pitre of Houma; one son, Harold Pitre of Houma; one daughter, Della Pitre Bass of Houma; two sisters, Pearl Oncale and Ora Roundtree, both of Thibodaux; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elie and Madora Boudreaux Pitre; six brothers, Andrew, Murphy, Claude, Gilbert, Abby and Albert Guillot; and four sisters, Mable Clausing, Irene Foret, Alma Molaison and Odessa Andras.
She was a homemaker.
John "Hubert" Smith
John "Hubert" Smith, 77, a native of Fort Towson, Okla., and resident of Swink, Okla., died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999.
Funeral services were scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Corinth Baptist Church in Fort Towson, with interment in Fort Towson Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Fritz Smith of Swink; three sons, Steven Smith of Fort Towson, John Smith of Baton Rouge, and Clyde Michael Smith of Houma; one daughter, Jimi Carol Corzo of Houma; two stepsons, William Bearden of Crossett, Ark., and David Bearden of Swink; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Betty Ray Smith.
He was a retired construction worker.
Henry Casey Jr.
Henry Casey Jr., 90, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Schriever, died at 2:05 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 1999.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Community Funeral Home and from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at New St. Paul Baptist Church. Wake services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Dismissal services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Henry Casey III; four stepsons, not named; one daughter, Jane Casey Miles; five stepdaughters, not named; three grandchildren; and 35 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Green Casey; his parents, Henry and Jane Casey; and one brother, Mack Casey.
He was a member of New St. Paul Baptist Church.
Lancy Joseph Cortez
Lancy Joseph Cortez, 65, a native of Kraemer and resident of Chackbay, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Kraemer. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Cortez; five sons, Lance, Sean, Aaron, James and Gerare Cortez; three daughters, Angela and Anna Kliebert and Michelle Oubre; one brother, Ned Cortez; two sisters, Gladys Rodrigue and Sandra Cortez; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Delores Kraemer Cortez; and his parents, Frosin and Olelise Cortez.
He was a retired employee of Plaisance Inspection, a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Lions Club and a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Marion H. Douglas
Marion H. Douglas, 75, a native and resident of Raceland, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Morristown Benevolent Cemetery
in Raceland.
She is survived by three sons, Andrew Douglas Jr. of Crowley, David Douglas of New Orleans, and Alvin Douglas of Lockport; one daughter, Geraldine D. Boyd of Oakland, Calif.; one brother, James Holmes Jr. of Michigan; two sisters, Theresa Hadley of Raceland, and Myrtle Johnson of San Diego, Calif.; 23 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Douglas Sr.; her parents, James and Margaret Holmes; one son, Daniel Douglas; one brother, Herman Holmes; and two sisters, Audrey Vallien and Evelyn Johnson .
She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Angelia Poindexter; four sons, Farris, Edward, Andrew and Clarence Poindexter Jr., all of Houma; four daughters, Joanne Poindexter, Mable Robinson and Earline Celestine, all of Houma, and Louise Brown of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Joseph "T-Joe", Willie "Black Joe" and Evest "Curtis" Poindexter, all of Raceland; two sisters, Hazel P. Ruffins of Cleveland, Texas , and Mary P. Poindexter of Houma; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Poindexter; his parents, Stil and Alice Nixon Poindexter; one daughter, Theresa Poindexter; and one sister, Louise Thompson.
He was a member of the Deacon's Board and a member of St. Matthew's Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Augustin "Gus" Theriot; one daughter, Mildred T. Bourgeois; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Olesia Robichaux Bourgeois; two brothers, Jessie and George Bourgeois; four sisters, Una B. Robichaux, Nootsy B. Foret, Ida B. Sampey and Sadie Bourgeois; and one grandson, Joel J. Bourgeois.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church.
Ruth Breaux Thibodaux
Ruth Breaux Thibodaux, 83, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 1999.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Leonce J. Thibodaux; one son, Leonce Thibodaux; three daughters, Ruth Marie Trosclair, Sylvia Ann Thibodaux, and Genell Brazan; one brother, Eddie Breaux Jr.; three sisters, Beatrice Cancienne, Elda Keller and Marie Ledet; 23 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Therese Babin Breaux; two sons, Donald Sr. and Leonce Thibodaux Jr.; and three brothers, Phillip, Cevera and Leo Breaux.
