James Joseph "Hi-Jacker" Boudreaux

James Joseph "Hi-Jacker" Boudreaux, 54, a native of Paincourtville and resident of Labadieville, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999.

Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Tuesday at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Aucoin Boudreaux; his mother, Vivian S. Boudreaux; two sons, James and Jody Boudreaux; one daughter, Angel Boudreaux; three brothers, Sam, Tommy and Ed Boudreaux Jr.; six sisters, Betty and Becky Boudreaux, Mary Holifield, Bonnie Schexnayder, Connie Besson and Mona Landry; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward James Boudreaux Sr.; and one brother, John Paul Boudreaux.

Brian J. "B.J." Breaux Jr.

Brian J. "B.J." Breaux Jr., 21, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Samart Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Dulac. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Darlene Plaisance Breaux and Brian J. Breaux Sr. of Houma; his grandparents, Norman "Tutty" and Rita Mae Breaux of Houma, and Marceline B. Plaisance of Lockport; his great-grandmother, Cora Carrere of Dulac; and one sister, Tabitha Breaux.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence Carrere and Didier B. Plaisance; and his great-grandparents, Edgar and Stella Breaux, and Ellida B. and Rene Breaux Sr.

He was a diesel mechanic at Stewart & Stevenson of Harvey and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Patrick A. Chandler Jr.

Patrick A. Chandler Jr., 17, a native of Raceland and resident of Cut Off, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999.

Visitation was scheduled from 8 a.m. to funeral time today at Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off. Mass was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

He is survived by his parents, Debra Adams Chandler and Patrick A. Chandler Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Delores Chandler; his maternal grandfather, Ignas "Pete" Adams; and one sister, Shawntel Chandler.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Henry Chandler Sr.; and his maternal grandmother, Gustavia Adams.

He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Kenneth Joseph "K.J." Hebert

Kenneth Joseph "K.J." Hebert, 53, a native and resident of Houma and former resident of Marion, Ark., died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with interment in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Teresa Arcement Hebert of Houma; his father and stepmother, Ivy and Agnes Dupre Hebert of Chauvin; his mother and stepfather, Miller and Lois Chauvin Crochet of Chauvin; two sons, Grant Hebert of Gainesville, Fla., and Ryan Hebert of Houma; one daughter, Kim Hebert of Houma; three brothers, Ivy Hebert Jr. of Chauvin, Robert Hebert of Labadieville, and Errol Hebert of Houma; one sister, Evelyn LeBoeuf of Chauvin; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Julian D. Hebert Sr., and Lindsey and Minnie L. Chauvin.

He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Mildred Champagne Laque

Mildred Champagne Laque, 81, a native and resident of Boutte, died at 1:35 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis. Mass will be at noon Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Raceland.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty L. Tregre of Luling; two brothers, Clarence Champagne of Des Allemands, and Milton Champagne of Paradis; two sisters, Mabel Schaubhut of Des Allemands, and Gladys Trauth of Luling; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Laque; her parents, Alice Lirette and James Champagne; and one brother, Wilbert Champagne.

She was a member of the Busy Bees ladies organization and a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Ursula Comeaux Pitre

Ursula Comeaux Pitre, 92, a native of Pierre Part and resident of Houma, died at 4:06 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 1999.

Visitation will be from 8 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home. Visitation and funeral time for Wednesday is pending. Contact Falgout Funeral Home at 876-5442 for times.

She is survived by two sons, Aswell "Pete" Pitre of Houma, and Urbin "Joe" Pitre Jr. of Bayou Blue; one daughter, Mrs. Jackie P. (O'Linda) Bonvillain of Houma; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Urbin Pitre Sr.; her second husband, Henry Fayette; her parents, Augustine and Elizabeth Landry Comeaux; four brothers, Leonce, Richard, Arthur and O'Neil Comeaux; and three sisters, Faustine Rogers, Marie Melancon and Marie Eschete.

She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Arthur Anthony Savoie Jr.

Arthur Anthony Savoie Jr., 60, a native and resident of Houma, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Beatrice Bourg Savoie Fields; and five brothers, Paul J. Savoie of Bourg, Murphy H. Savoie Sr. of Montegut, Sterling V. Savoie of Houma, Nelson P. Savoie of New Orleans, and Merlin F. Savoie of Des Allemands.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur A. Savoie Sr.; and one sister, Nellie S. Theriot.

Amanda D. Chauvin

Amanda D. Chauvin, 95, a native of Houma and a resident of Baton Rouge, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000.

Visitation was scheduled from 10 a.m. to funeral time today at St. George Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Mass was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at the church, with burial at 3 p.m. in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma.

She is survived by one daughter, Gloria C. Ethridge of Baton Rouge; one sister, Lucille Salvaggio of New Orleans; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Enos L. Chauvin; her parents, Theophile and Glorviana Dumont; two brothers, Alfred and Easton Dumont; and one sister, Julia Petre.

Paul Sciortino Sr.

Paul Zachary Sciortino Sr., 78, a native of Chicago and resident of St. Bernard Parish, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002.

He is survived by three daughters, Darra Morales, Debbie and Donna Sciortino; one son, Paul Sciortino, Jr.; four grandchildren, Tony Bruscato, III, Chaz Morales, Zachary and Teresa Sciortino; and one great-granddaughter, Tabitha Ann Bruscato.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Belva Marz Sciortino, and his parents, Lena Terese and Paul Sciortino.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at the Vickers, Verrette & Dornan Funeral Home, 3027 Jean Lafitte Parkway, Chalmette, La. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with interment at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor.

Vickers, Verrette & Dornan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Helen Domangue Brien

Helen Domangue Brien, 79, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Brien and Darryl Brien of Houma; one daughter, Deanna Trahan of Shephard, Texas ; one brother, Robert Domangue; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Joseph Brien; her parents, Bebe Domangue and Agnus Babin Domangue; one granddaughter, Danielle Trahan; four brothers, Harold Domangue, O’Neil Domangue, Jerry Domangue and Albert Domangue; and one sister, Rita Domangue Picou.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
