Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at 1 p.m. in St. Edward’s Church in Richard, with Father Dan Edwards officiating, for Patricia R. Arabie, 46, of Rayne, who died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
A rosary was recited Sunday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial was in St. Edward Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held Saturday from 3 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Poncho” Arabie, Rayne; two daughters, Nickki and Joshua Trahan, Rayne, and Devan Arabie, Church Point; one sister, Lucy Richard, Church Point; four brothers, Robert and Joyce Richard, Scott, Clinton Richard, Francis Richard and Anthony Richard, all of Church Point; and four grandchildren, Cameron Trahan, Makensie Trahan, Brandon Castille and Tyler Castille.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, James Ray and Dewilda Richard.

Naomi P. Rochon
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 20, 2005, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church for Naomi Parker Rochon, 91, who Passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at American Legion Hospital in Crowley. Father Richard Wagner, S.S.J was the celebrant of Mass.
interment was in the church cemetery.
She was a member of Our Mother of Mercy Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Court # 75.
She is survived by a son, Lennis J. (Glen E.) Rochon of Lafayette; one daughter, Patricia A. (Leroy, Jr.) Holmes of Detroit, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Damon Holmes, Dr. Candace Smiley, Cassandra Singleton, and Karen Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Rochon.; son, Glenn P. Rochon; parents, Joseph and Euphemie Parker; and brother, Armada Parker.
Visitation was held Saturday, August 20, 2005, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church from 8 a.m. until time of services.

Evelyn Pilcher
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley, with Rev. Lloyd Singley, Rev. Bobby Leger, and Rev. Kerry Doucet officiating, for Evelyn Pilcher, 82, of Crowley.
Ms. Pilcher died at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, in the Southwind Nursing Home in Crowley.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery
in Crowley.
Visitation was held from 3 to 11 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until time of services Saturday.
She is survived by four daughters, Gloria Hanks, Crowley, Geraldine Hanks, Abbeville, Sharon Fontenot, Lafayette, and Christine Kratzer, Crowley; one sister, Myrtis Broussard, Bay St. Louis, Miss.; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Ms. Pilcher was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Archie Pilcher; her parents, Bess and Evelyn Broussard; one brother, Bert Broussard; one granddaughter, Teri Ann Miller and four sisters, Mabel LaFosse, Winnie Douglas, Marjorie (Bruce) Hanks and Eula Hanks.

Margaret Foreman Alleman
Funeral services were held Friday Aug. 19, 2005, at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Margaret Foreman Alleman, 69, who died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at the Crowley American Legion Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Clifton Alleman of Rayne; two sons and their wives, Ricky and Brenda Alleman and Keith and Vanessa Alleman, all of Rayne; two brothers, Horace and Wilson Foreman, both of Rayne; five sisters, Rose Trahan of Erath, Enola Alleman of Duson, Wavel Girard of Rayne, Lilly Thompson of Crowley, and Hazel Foreman, Rayne; five grandchildren Rhonda, Blaine, Jeremy, Delani and Nicole Alleman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Donatile Abshire Foreman; and three brothers, Richard, Norris, and Doris Foreman.
Visitation was Thursday from 2:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Burial wass in the St. Joseph Mausoleum under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.
Marie Gallet Thibodeaux
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at 10 a.m. in Crowley’s St. Michael’s Church, with Father Gary Schexnayder officiating, for Marie Gallet Thibodeaux, 83, of Crowley, wh died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at her residence.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel.
Burial was in St. Joesph Cemetery

Visitation was from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until time of services Monday.
She is survived by two sons, Lernis Thibodeaux, Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Irvin Lee Thibodeaux, Crowley; three daughters, Joyce Thibodeaux Huval, Breaux Bridge, Audrey Thibodeaux Patterson, Mire, and Deloris Thibodeaux Bergeaux, Mire; eight grandchildren, Shara Thibodeaux Roy, Lafayette, Herbert Earl Blanchard, Duson, Todd Thibodeaux, Houston, Texas , Lawrence Blanchard, Duson, Jeannae Thibodeaux, Jinx, Okla., Katherine laRochelle, Phoenix, Ariz., Jade Anderson, Alviso, Calif., and Holly Christinson, Minneapolis, Minn.; and nine great-grandchildren.
Ms. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by her husband, Loris Thibodeaux; one daughter, Helen Thibodeaux LaRochelle; one granddaughter, Erica Thibodeaux; 11 brothers, one sister, and three sons-in-law, Frank Huval, Alden LaRochelle and Richard Bergeaux.

Mary Elaine Clause
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Mary Elaine Clause, 57, of Duson, who died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
She is survived by her parents, Ella and Willie (Bill) Clause of Scott; three sisters and their husbands, Joyce and Robert Layton, Arnaudville, Cecile and Javier Ramitez, Weimar, Texas , and Jennifer Clause, Mire; three brothers, Steven Clause, Richmond, Va., Willie (Bill) Clause, Arnaudville, and Arthur Clause, Mire; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Janice Clause; maternal grandparents, Alta and Cleopha Quebodeaux and paternal grandparents, Alice and Charles Clause.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana for its excellent care and support and all other doctors and nurses who assisted in her fight with cancer, and her many friends and relatives for their prayers and support. Elaine’s wish was that any contributions be made to SPCA or Hospice of Acadiana at 2600 Johnston St., Lafayette, La. 70503-3240.
She was a native of Lafayette. She received a bachelor of arts degree in business administration at USL. She later went into banking and later real estate and pursued her passion for horses.

Mitchell "Mitch" LaCroix, Jr.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Mitchell "Mitch" LaCroix, Jr., 49, who died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, at his residence.
Entombment was in St. Joseph Cemetery

Survivors include his wife, Amy R. LaCroix, of Rayne; three sons, Jude LaCroix, Chad LaCroix, and Benji LaCroix, all of Rayne; five grandchildren; parents, Rufus LaCroix and wife Judy, of Rayne; Lucille "Tookie" Patin and husband Donald, Rayne; two brothers, Danny LaCroix and wife Brenda, of Rayne, and Michael LaCroix and wife Mona, of Rayne; two sisters, Josette Bates, of Califorina, and Pauline LaCroix, of Rayne.
He was preceded in death by his twin brothers, Thomas and Timothy LaCroix; grandparents, Alex and Claudia LaCroix, and A.J. and Lucille Larrivierre.
A rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The family requested that the visiting hours be observed Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers contrubition can be made in Mitchell LaCroix’s name to First Louisiana Bank in Rayne.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne.
Robert Wilmer Walters
RAYVILLE - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel for Robert Wilmer Walters of Rayville, 77, who died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, in Monroe.
Rev. Harold Spiller and Rev. Robert Smith officiated for the services.
Burial was held in Lynn Cemetery
in Archibald.
Mr. Walters was born on December 26, 1927, in Natchez, Miss.
He was a syndicated columnist with B.I. Moody III-owned Louisiana State Newspapers and a DAV member. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer with the Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Walters of Rayville, his children, Sherry Bernice Craig and husband, Richard of Lexington, Ky., Robert Paul Walters and wife, Doris Ann of Gulfport, Miss., and Stacy Joanne Walters of Ft. Myers, Fla.; five brothers, Alvin J. Walters and wife, Linda of Pollack, William L. Walters and wife, Glenda of Ferriday, Gordon L. Walters and wife, Lynette of Rayville, Grant Walters of Fort Smith, Ark. and James Clary of Natchez, Miss.; four sisters, Betty Hamaker and husband, Luke of Monroe, Alma Jean Halford, Carol Marie McVay and Patsy Tullos; two grandchildren, Angela Robertson and husband, Paul and Hank Smith; one great grandchild, Randy Smith; and a host of nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Mae Walters; his parents, Wiley E. Walters and Bernice Cameron Walters; a daughter, Charlotte Ann Walters and a sister, Juanita.
Pallbearers were Dusty Dison, Ronald Strahan, Steve Grey, Gordon Walters, Jr., Robert Paul Walters and Richard Craig. Honorary pallbearers were J.B. Glass, Lane Strahan, Robert Strahan, Carlos Mann and Bobby Collins.

Hazel A. Senegal
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church for Hazel A. Senegal, 72, of Rayne, who died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, in University Medical Center in Lafayette.
Visitation will be observed from 8 a.m. until time of services in the church.
She is survived by four loving children, Ann Daryl Senegal, Rayne, Viola Mouton (Donald), Duson, Nelson John Senegal (Kathleen) and Michael James Senegal (Shelly), all of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Twana Francis and Drew Senegal, both of Rayne, and Darryl Senegal and Ravin Senegal, both of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Mildred Simon (Dallas), Rayne, and Nettie Johnson , Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother, Joseph Andrus, Rayne; one uncle, Louis Logan, Rayne; one aunt, Therese Richard, Houston, Texas ; and an adoptive son, Daniel Cole, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexon and Viola Andrus; stepmother, Eugenia (Nan) Andrus; husband, Nelson Senegal, Jr.; one brother, Alexon Andrus, Jr.; and three sisters, Rosemary Joseph, Stella Granger and Lula Mae Joseph.
