Dusty Kibodeaux
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2006, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley, with Father Matthew Higginbotham officiating, for Dusty Kibodeaux, 28, of Rayne, who died Sunday, February 12, 2006, at 3:02 p.m. in Crowley.
Burial will be in Arceneaux Cemetery in Mire.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday with viewing until the time of services that afternoon.
He is survived by his parents, Agnes and Phillip Kibodeaux of Rayne, two brothers, Cody Kibodeaux and Paul Kibodeaux, both of Rayne; one sister, Misty Kibodeaux, Crowley; and a grandmother, Clara Guidry, Eunice.
Mr. Kibodeaux was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Mable Meche, and his paternal grandfather, Wallace Kibodeaux.
Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Lloyd Bearb
Funeral services were held Saturday February 4, 2006. at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Lloyd D. Bearb, 88, who died Wednesday. February 1, 2006. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
He is survived by one step-daughter Helen Adcock of Ragley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ida Comeaux Bearb; five brothers, Asa, Caliste, Alton, Abbie, and Clovis Bearb; three sisters, Della Stutes, Emily Meche, and Addie Bernard; two-step daughters, Audry Richard, and Judy Vincent.
Burial was in the St. Joseph Mausoleum under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.

Craig Thomas Shaw
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at Northside Baptist Church in Lafayette for Craig Thomas Shaw, 52, who died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006.
Craig was born March 12, 1953 in Oakdale, La. He grew up in Rayne and graduated from Rayne High School, Class of 1971. He lived in Austin, Texas , and had been a resident of Lafayette for the last 20 years.
Craig was a musician, crawfisherman and petroleum landman. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and sports and was notorious for his music.
He is survived by his children, Carrie Bourque, of Indian Bayou; Dawna Conerly, of Zachary; and Josef, Camille, Jacob and Gabrielle Shaw and their mother, Gayle Leblanc, all of Lafayette; six grandchildren; sister, Shirley Peterson and brothers, Mark and Brent Shaw, all of Lafayette; Danny Shaw of Johnson City, Tn. And Randy Shaw of Kaiser, Mo.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. George and Mrs. Berlene Shaw.
Craig will be missed by many yet will be remembered by the legacy of his love and his music that he shared joyfully.

Joseph “Fuzzy” Guidry, Sr.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2006, in St. Edmund Church, with Father Francis Bourgeois officiating, for Joseph “Fuzzy” Guidry, Sr., 73, of Branch, who died at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, in Opelousas General Hospital.
Visitation was observed Friday from 7 to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
A rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Guidry, Branch; six sons and their wives, Joseph and Betty Guidry, Jr., Paul and Lucinda Broussard, and Christopher and Renee Guidry, all of Rayne, Michael and Rhonda Guidry, Branch, and James Larry and Tori Guidry, Church Point; three daughters, Christine Fontenot and Mary Wanda Guidry, both of Branch, and Clarissa (DD) Clark, Opelousas; four brothers, Frank Guidry, Jr., Branch, and Floyd Guidry, Renis R. Guidry and Paul Bryan Guidry, all of Rayne; 23 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Guidry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Pearly Guidry, Sr.; three daughters, Betty Franck, Norman Jean and Barbara Jean Guidry; one son-in-law Hubert Lee Fontenot, Sr.; three sisters, Celestine Frank, Mary Lee Minix, and Mary Evelyn Vallery; three brothers, LeRoy Guidry, Sr., Edridge Guidry, and Curtis Guidry.
Duhon Funeral Home of Church Point was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Stephen August Foytlin
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006, in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Stephen August Foytlin, 60, who died Friday, January 27, 2006 at his residence.
interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery #2.
Survivors include five sons, Damien, Brian, Stephen, Forest, and Foster Foytlin, one stepson, Randy Cormier; one daughter, Amy Fischer, one stepdaughter, Cherie Cormier; one brother, Joseph John Foytlin and wife Ramona.
He was preceded in death by wife, Sheryl Lavernge Foytlin; parents, Stephen Matthew Foytlin and Marie Heneretta Habetz Foytlin; one sister, Madeline Foytlin.
A rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The family requested that the visiting hours be Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until services time.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne.

Edmund Alois Leonards
Long time Crowley resident and farmer, Edmund A. Leonards, Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2006, at South Wind Nursing Facility in Crowley.
He had just celebrated his 89th birthday on January 25.
The loving husband of the late Norma “Cookie” Ziegler Leonards, he is survived by his son, Mark Leonards, of Crowley.
One of ten children of German descendants from Roberts Cove, he is also survived by two brothers, Ferdinand Leonards of Winnie, Texas , and A. P. “Tony” Leonards of Belize; two sisters, Clara Marie Wilfert of Crowley, and Sr. Mildred Leonards, CDP, of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, H. Leo and Mary Leonards; three brothers, Joseph, Leo, and R.J. Leonards; and two sisters, Henrietta Gayle and Sr. Bernadine Leonards, CDP.
Edmund touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness and warmth.
A gentle man, he had a deep love and affection for family and friends of all ages.
He was a true “man of the earth” for he took pleasure in growing things, whether in his garden or on his farm. Edmund also enjoyed dancing, and nothing brought a twinkle to his eyes faster than being with his favorite dance partner, Cookie.
Visitation was observed at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a special religious service at 7 p.m.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 31, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Crowley.
Burial followed in the St. Leo Catholic Church cemetery in Roberts Cove.
Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley was in charge of arrangements. 301 N Ave F Crowley.

Joseph “Joe” Venable, Jr.
Rayne - Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Joseph Venable, Jr. 65, who died Saturday, January 28, 2006, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery #2.
Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Stelly and husband Michael, of Rayne, Susan Gremillion and husband Lance, of Houma, Mona Doucet and husband Chad, of Lafayette; two sons, Chris Venable, of Church Point, Daniel Venable and wife Terri, of Rayne; eleven grandchildren, Zachary, Jeremy and Maygan Brasseaux, Isabelle and Abigail Gremillion, Angella Venable, Angelique LeBleu, Taylor and Tyler Venable, Cole and Claire Doucet; two great grandchildren, Bailey and Zane Brasseaux; seven sisters, Elvie Guilbeau, of Church Point, Evie Harmon, of Church Point, Anna Mae Fontenot, of Church Point, Laura Guidry, of Duson, Emma Truman, of Jasper, Texas , Saybel Montet, of Gretna, Sherry Venable, of Church Point.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Lejeune Venable; parents, Joseph Venable, Sr. and Louise Duplechain Venable; one brother, Duplex Venable; and one godchild, Annette Garcia.
A rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday.
The family requested that the visiting hours be observed Monday from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.

Gladys Credeur Comeaux
Funeral services wee held at 10 a.m.Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bill Hudson officiating for Mrs. Gladys Credeur Comeaux, 63, of Rayne, who died at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2006 in the Crowley Guest Home.
Visitation was observed Sunday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2 in Rayne.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Comeaux, Sr., of Rayne; two sons, Jesse (Jay) Comeaux, Rayne and Thomas (Tom) Comeaux, Franklinton; two daughters, Sharon Bergeron, Scott, and Anna Hebert, Lafayette; one brother, Red Credeur, Rayne; ten grandchidren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Cleveland Credeur and Mable Guidry Credeur; and one brother, Rodney Credeur. Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangments.

Iris Brown, Sr.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, with Father Francis Butler officiating, for Iris Brown, 79, of Church Point, who died at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, in the Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point.
Visitation was observed Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of services in the church.
He is survived by three daughters, Earnestine and her husband Anthony Robertson of Duson, Debra Brown of Beaumont, Texas , and Macklyn Brown, of Seattle, Wash.; four sons, John Gerald and Rose Brown, Church Point; Joseph Gilbert Brown, Beaumont, Texas , Alfred and Ann Brown, Lafayette, and Steve and Tameria Brown, Iraq; three sisters, Irene Brown, Los Angeles, Calif., Lacey James, Denver, Colo., and Juanita Yokum, Lake Charles; one brother, Joe Brown, Lake Charles; 16 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elvina Brown; one son, Iris Brown, Jr.,; his parents, Lelia Duplechain and Joseph Brown; three brothers, Ivery, Leo and James Brown; and one sister, Beverlyn Brown.
Duhon Funeral Home of Church Point was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Priscilla Ann Broussard
Funeral services were held Monday, January 23, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. in the Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Priscilla Ann Broussard 41, who died Saturday, January 21, 2006, at the American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
Survivors include her mother, Shirley Broussard of Duson; two brothers, Ronald Broussard of Duson and Michael and his wife Jennifer, and their child, Kaynan of Duson; her aunt Shirley Alleman of Duson; and her friend, Robbie Leblanc of Duson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hillman Broussard, and one brother Melvin Broussard.
Burial was held in the St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne
