Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Basil Catholic Church, in Judice for Nora O. Touchet. She died at 7:42 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, in University Medical Center in Lafayette.
Survivors include her husband, Wilfred Touchet of Duson; one daughter, Patty Touchet of Duson; three grandchildren, Stephine, Kimberly, and Kyle Wyble all of Duson; one brother, J.A. Ozanne of Opelousas; two sisters, Marie Hardy of Plaisance, and Irma Lavergne of Sunset.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Louise Beaugh Ozanne, and one brother, Albert Ozanne.
Visitation was Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until services.
Burial was in the St. Basil Cemetery under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.

Randy James Bellard
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2006, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Randy James Bellard, 39, who died January 10, 2006, at Crowley American Legion Hospital.
interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #2.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Miller Bellard, of Rayne; his two dogs, BooBoo and Scooter; father, James Bellard, of Rayne; two sisters, Michelle Bellard, of Rayne, Karen LeBlanc , of Rayne; and ten godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Roy Bellard; paternal grandparents, Walter Bellard and Alice Lejeune Bellard; maternal parents, Leo Roy, Sr. and Lillian Breaux Roy.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Hebert, Cody Bearb, Shirley Miller, Billy Miller, Joey Carrier and Chip Privat. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Bearb and David Bearb.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
The family requested that the visiting hours be observed Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until services time Friday.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne.

Irene Johnson Broussard
Funeral services will held at 10 a..m on Saturday, January 14. 2006, at St. Benedict De Moor Catholic Church in Duson, for Irene Johnson Broussard 87, who Passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes regional Medical Center.
interment will be in St. Benedict De Moor Cemetery in Duson.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a very devoted son, Gilbert Leopaul, of Rayne; a special daughter-in-law and caregiver, Kathy Leopaul, also of Rayne; a special niece, Wanda (Joe ) Couley of Port Arthur, Texas ; One grandson, Jirake Leopaul of Lafayette; three grand-daughters, Stacey Conaway of New Jersey, Yolanda Leopaul of Church Point, and Saprina Leopaul of Rayne; also a special love one, Shelia Webster of Crowley; and a host of in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Broussard; parents, Pollist and Ada Johnson ; two sisters, Odissa Thornton, and Maudry Joseph; and three brothers, Rodne, Ottis, and Joseph Johnson
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. until time of service at St. Benedict De Moor Catholic Church in Duson on Saturday, January 14, 2006.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Raphael Funeral Home of Lafayette.

Mary Elizabeth Betty Miller
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2006, at a Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Elizabeth Betty Miller, 80, who died Thursday, December 29, 2005, at 6:50 p.m. at Crowley Rehabilitation Hospital.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Bryant and husband Bill, of Rayne; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Miller; one son, Ronnie Mallette; parents, Alfred Arthur LeDoux and Anna Theresa Hall LeDoux; two brothers, Velmore LeDoux, and Alfred LeDoux; one nephew, Chris LeDoux.
The family requested that the visiting hours be from 8:00 a.m. until service time Saturday.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc., Rayne.

Marie Frey Leonards
Roberts Cove - Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2006, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Leo Catholic Church for Marie Frey Leonards, 95, who died Sunday, December 31, 2005, at her daughter’s residence.
interment was in St. Leo Catholic Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Elaine L. Gossen and husband Herbert, of Rayne; one daughter-in-law, Shirley N. Leonards, of Rayne; nineteen grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip J. Leonards; one son, Gerald Leonards, Sr., one great-grandchild; parents, John Frey, Jr. and Lambertina Heinen Frey; one brother; and four sisters.
Mrs. Leonards was a member of St. Leo and St. Lawrence Ladies Altar Society and a charter member of Court St. Leo Catholic Daughters.
Rosaries were recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. Monday.
The family requested that the visiting hours be observed Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Monday from 7:30 a.m. until service time.
The family wishes to express gratitude to a host of family and friends for their love and support throughout the years, especially her caregivers, Frances Mel, Lois Leon, Doris Laverne, Rose Shinier, Margie Boudreaux, Joyce Broussard, Rita Credeur, Diane Comeaux, grand-daughter and Lambertina LeJeune, great granddaughter, and all other family members who gave their time.
The family would also like to thank Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care of Jennings and their wonderful staff for their help and support. The family would also like to express their deepest thanks especially to the nurses, aides, social workers and chaplain who tended to our mother and for the care and compassion given to her and her family during her illness.

Survivors include his son, Gil Comeaux, Jr. and wife Latreece, of Rayne; one sister, Lois Leon; one grandson, Chris Comeaux and wife Eva, of Rayne; one granddaughter, Monica Carrier, of Rayne; five great-grandchildren, Whitney Comeaux, Wyatt Comeaux, Haley Comeaux, Kelsey Carrier, Zoe Carrier; and three step-grandchildren, Kayley Meylain, Celie Meylian, Tyler Meylain.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ettiwanda "Petite" Mauboules Comeaux; one son, Carl Comeaux; one daughter, Mary Ann Comeaux; parents,Whitney Comeaux and Marie Bernard Comeaux; one sister, Nelma Morgan.
A rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The family requested that the visiting hours be observed Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.

Ettiwanda "Petite" Mauboules Comeaux
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Ettiwanda "Petite" Mauboules Comeaux, 81, who died Saturday, December 31, 2005, at her residence.

Survivors include one son, Gil Comeaux, Jr. and wife Latreece, of Rayne; one grandson, Chris Comeaux and wife Eva, of Rayne; one granddaughter, Monica Carrier, of Rayne; five grandchildren, Whitney Comeaux, Wyatt Comeaux, Haley Comeaux, Kelsey Carrier, Zoe Carrier; and three step-grandchildren, Kayley Meylian, Celie Meylian, Tyler Meylian; one sister, Johanne Moody and husband Eddie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilford Comeaux, Sr.; one son, Carl Comeaux; one daughter, Mary Ann Comeaux, and parents, Benton Mauboules and Edmae Servat Gossen.
A rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The family requested that the visiting hours be observed Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne.

Helena Dupont Clement
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Buddy Breaux officiating, for Mrs. Helena Dupont Clement, 83, of Rayne, who died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, in the Rayne Guest Home.
A rosary was recited Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2.
Visitation was observed on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Monday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
She is survived by her husband, Nolan Clement, Rayne; one daughter and her husband, Patsy and Wilbert Chiasson, Rayne; five great-children and their spouses. Tina Clement, Mark and Vicki Clement, Todd and Melissa Chiasson, Dina and Steve Matte, and Gina and Shane Moreaux; nine great-grandchildren, Kelby Mier, Monica Clement, Shanna Chiasson, Garrick Setzkorn, Derrick Clement, Aaron Chiasson, Andrew Chiasson, Hailey Matte, and Allie Matte; and two great-great-grandchildren, Evan Mier and Veya Roger.
Mrs. Clement was preceded in death by one son, Roland Clement; one daughter, Debra Clement; one grandchild, Geralyn Chiasson; her parents, Mr. Theophile and Ida Boudreaux Clement; and siblings.
Mrs. Clement was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Joseph P. Habetz
Loreauville—A Memorial Mass with military honors for Mr. Joseph P. Habetz, 86, of Loreauville was celebrated on Saturday, July 29, 2006, at 10:00 a.m.. in St. Joseph Catholic Church.
The Reverend Thomas Habetz and Reverend Mario Romero served as concelebrants. Private interment will be held at a later date.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 29, 2006, from 8:00 a.m.. until service time in David Funeral Home.
Mr. Habetz Passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at 9:40 a.m. in a New Iberia hospital.
A native of Roberts Cove and longtime resident of Loreauville, Mr. Habetz served his country during World War II as a Staff Sargeant of the 17th Airborne Division-Field Artillery. Although afraid of heights, he was a paratrooper with 13 combat jumps under his belt. Mr. Habetz fought in Italy, Southern France, in the D-Day invasion, and in Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge. As the war ended he served as an interpreter in Berlin.
Upon his return from Europe, Mr. Habetz settled in Loreauville, farming rice, beans, and cattle. He was a member of Woodmen of the World, a charter member of Loreauville Knights of Columbus Council 4676, and a charter member of St. Leo’s Holy Name Society. Upon his retirement, Mr. Habetz enjoyed many years of woodworking, playing cards with friends, and occasional trips to the casino.
Survivors include a daughter, Flavia Habetz Eldridge and husband, Glenn of Jeanerette; sons, Michael Habetz and wife, Cindy of Lafayette, Bruno Habetz and wife, Linda of Loreauville, and Tedmund Habetz and wife, Mary Kay of Loreauville; grandchildren, Jeff, Scott, Steve, Laura, B.J., Taylor , Morgan, and Bradford Habetz, Gregg, Scott, Elizabeth, and Joseph Eldridge, Beneth Arceneaux, and Ellen DeValcourt; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Clara Habetz of Rayne, Cecelia Zaunbrecher of Crowley, Bernardine Leonards of Basile, Bertha Owen of Saltillo, Mexico, and Sister Marie Habetz of San Antonio, Texas ; and a brother, Bill Habetz of Ragley.
Preceding Mr. Habetz in death were his wife, Rita Ohlenforst Habetz; an infant daughter, Joline Rita Habetz; parents, Joseph Wilhelm Habetz and Franziska Theunissen Habetz; a sister, Hilda Habetz; and brothers, Rev. Msgr. Daniel Habetz, Pirmin Habetz, Martin Habetz, and Anton Habetz.
The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Sisters of Mount Carmel, Carmelite Spirituality Center, P.O. Box 130, Lacombe, LA 70445.
