Joseph Clements
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 18, 20005, in the Duhon Funeral Home , with Father Buddy Breaux officiating, for Joseph Clements, 90, of Rayne, who died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 2 a.m. in American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
A rosary was prayed on Sunday,April 17, in the funeral home chapel.
Visitation was observed Sunday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
He is survived by his wife, Lacy Clements, Rayne; five daughters, Joann Rougeaux, Dianne Montenegro and Brenda Clements, all of Rayne, Jenette Rougeaux, Evangeline, and Nelva Jane Clements, Lake Charles; one stepson, Dexter Sargent, Channel View, Texas ; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five sons, Chester, Lonnie James, Norman, Velton, and Nolan Clements; one daughter, Patricia Clements; his parents, Clementine and Augustine Clements; and siblings.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Christopher Dion Locksey
Funeral services for Christopher Dion Locksey, 27, who died on April 15, 2005, in a 2:24 a.m. one-vehicle accident, will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2005, at 10 a.m. in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, with Father Richard Wagner, S.S.J., the pastor, officiating.
Visitation will be observed from 7 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Locksey is survived by three children, Christopher, Jaylon and Taylor , all of Rayne; his mother, Carolyn Johnson Locksey, of Lafayette; father, Harry James L:ocksey I, of Rayne; paternal grandmother, Rose S. Locksey; two sisters, E-4 Spe. Kristin D. Rivera (Angelo I) of Killeen, Texas , and E-3 Pfc. Farrah F. Locksey, of Youngasan, Korea; one brother, Harry James Locksey II, of Killeen, Texas ; and one nephew, Angelo Dashaun Rivera of Killeen, Texas .
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leroy and Eva Adrew Johnson ; and his paternal grandfather, Joseph Locksey.
Pallbearers will be Patrick N. Locksey, Timothy Locksey, Nathan F. Locksey, Darin Guidry, Quentin Julian, and HIllary Locksey II.
Syrie Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Patsy Savant Hollon
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, in the Duhon Funeral Home chapel for Patsy Savant Hollon, 60, of Rayne, who died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at her home.
Visitation was observed from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until time of services Saturday.
A rosary was prayed Friday at 7 p.m.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemtery.
She is survived by one son, Terry Cade, Vidor, Texas ; one sister, Florence S. Chapman, Rayne; and four brothers, Floyd Savant, Jr., Crowley, Ray Savant, DeRidder, Gene Savant, Lafayette, and Clifford Savant, Hawkinsville, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Savant, Sr., and one brother, Lawrence Savant.
Duhon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Andrus Arcenaux, Jr.
SCOTT –– A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2005, for Andrus Arceneaux, Jr., age 46, of Cankton, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott with Father Gil Dutel officiating.
interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne.
Mr. Arceneaux died Sunday, April 17, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. at his home in Cankton.
Visitation was observed Monday from 2 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. conducted by the Ladies Altar Society of Rayne. The funeral home remained open until time of services on Tuesday.
He leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 27 years, Brenda Chiasson Arceneaux of Cankton; one son, Nicholas and companion Melissa Tremie of Youngsville; two daughters, Nancy Arceneaux and her fianee Micholas Comeaux and Nadine Arceneaux of Cankton; two sisters, Edna and Leon Stelly of Lafayette and Barbara and Kenneth Duhon of Maurice; one brother, Kermit Arceneaux of Liberty, Texas ; his godchildren, Karen Arcceneaux of Gieismar, Sonya Fincke of St. Mary, Ga., and Quentin Istre of Lafayette, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odile Kibodeaux and Andrus Arceneaux, Sr.; and two sisters, Debbie and Laura Arceneaux.
Pallbearers included Chad Diagle, Jody, Justin, and Nicholas Arceneaux, Mike and Dustin Stelly and Nicholas Comeaux.
Honorary pallbearers were Dalton and Terry Chiasson, Kenny and Kasey Crabtree, Jason and Jeff Chiasson, Troy Duckwork and Lee Chaisson.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Ronald James Alleman
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m.Saturday, April 16, 2005, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel here, with Father Bill Ruskoski officiating, for Ronald James Alleman, 47, of Rayne, who died at 5:40 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at Lafayette General Hospital.
Visitation was observed on Saturday at 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2
He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Meche Alleman, Rayne; one son, Brandon James Alleman, Lafayette; one daughter, Dakota Laci Dupont, Rayne; two stepsons, Joshua Joseph Privat and Kelly John Campbell, both of Rayne; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin J. Alleman, Rayne; three sisters and their spouses, Linda and Mike Conroy, Sarah and L.J. Credeur and Mary and Steven Thibodeaux, all of Rayne; and one brother and his wife, Robert and Beverly Alleman, of Rayne.
Mr. Alleman was preceded in death by one daughter, Anitra Ann Alleman.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Lauren “L.R.” Stagg
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005, in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Lauren “L.R.” Stagg, 85, who died Monday, April 18, 2005, at the Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana .
interment will take place at Calvary Mausoleum.
The Rev. Truman P. Stagg, a nephew, and the Rev. Perry Saunders will conduct the funeral services.
Musical selections will be played by Clista Stagg and his grandniece, Laura Stagg, will sing.
Mr. Stagg, the son of the late Truman Stagg and former Delia Bruner, was a native of Rayne and a resident of Lafayette.
Survivors include his wife of 59-1/2 years, the former Louisette Boudreaux of Lafayette; one son, Larry Stagg and daughter-in-law, Melissa of Greenville, South Carolina; and two grandchildren, Cory L. Stagg and Nichole Marie Stagg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Truman C. Stagg and Harry L. Stagg.
Visiting hours were observed Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. and will continue on Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, N.C. 28201-0001.
Delhomme Funeral Home of 1011 Bertrand Dr., is in charge of all funeral arrangements.

Mazie Leger David
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2005, in St. Joseph Catholic Church at a Mass of Christian Burial for Mazie Leger David, 87, who died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at 1:15 p.m. in Crowley American Legion Hospital.
interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery #2.
Survivors include three daughters, Lois Levy and her husband Jim, of Bunkie, Faye Sudwischer and her husband Jon, of Crowley, Anne Resweber and her husband Carl, of Mandeville; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Leger Guidry, of Rayne; ten grandchildren; and 12 great -grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold David, Sr.; one son, Harold David, Jr.; two brothers, Aubrey Leger, Clyde Leger; and her parents, Lozen Ameliaa Dupont Leger.
In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, P.O. Box 199, Rayne, La. 70578; or Rayne Catholic Elementary, 407 S. Polk St., Rayne, La. 70578.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Visiting hours were observed from 2 p.m. Tuesday until 8 p.m. and from 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of the services.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne.

Lester John Broussard
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 5, 2005 ,at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Lester John Broussard 63, who died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at a Lafayette hospital.
Survivors include his wife Eva Leger Broussard of Rayne; two daughters and their husbands, Yvette and Clark LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge, and Leslie and Jason Alleman of Rayne; two sons, Leonard and his wife Richelle of Houston Texas , and Lester “T-Boy” Broussard Jr. of Rayne; five grandchildren Cayley, Hannah, Courtney, Evan, and Ethan; seven sisters, Gloria Cormier of Rayne, Eldeen Arabie of Crowley, Rose Schexnayder of Rayne, Mary Comeaux of Rayne, JoAnn Hines of Kingwood Texas , Sandra Hornsby of Duson, and Elaine Broussard of Slidell.
Mr. Broussard was preceded in death by his parents, Ophe and Ester Richard Broussard and one sister, Evadell B. Stelly.
Visitation was observed Monday from 2 pm until 10 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until services.
Burial was in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.

Cornelius Chevis
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Branch, with the pastor, the Rev. Craig G. Gregory officiating, for Cornelius Chevis, 83, who died at 2 p.m. March 27, 2005, at Lafayette General Hospital.
interment was in Maryland Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.Saturday in the church.
Mr. Chevis was employed for many years by Rimmer & Garrett Construction on the road, worked for T.L. James Construction, then returned to Rimmer where he worked as a shop mechanic until his health failed and he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Roby Chevis of Rayne; two daughters, Gracie C. Jolivette and Leona C. (Matthew) LeBlanc , all of Rayne; six grandchildren, Dennis R. Jolivette (Lorette), Germaine M. Lewis (Brent), Denver J. Babineaux Jr. (Brandy) of Eunice, and Kimberly R. Jolivette, Erica D. Jolivette and Shawn K. Babineaux, all of Rayne; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Eva C. Richard; two godchildren, Mary Virginia Brown of Crowley and Agnes H. Minix of Rayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Chevis and Agnes Wilridge; three sisters, Laura C. Yokum, Mable C. Morrison and Maggie C. Milstead; two brothers, Raymond Chevis and John Chevis; and one son-in-law, Roger Jolivette.
Pallbearers were Dennis Jolivette, Greg Minix Sr., Lester Bias, David Martin, Wesley Jacobs and Joseph Chevis.
Syrie Funeral Home of Lafayette was in charge of funeral arrangements.
