Lena Marie Richard
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, in St. Theresa Church in Duson, with Father Leonard officiating, for Lena Marie Richard, 91, who died at 6:11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, in the Lady of the Oaks Nursing More in Lafayette.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday in the St. Theresa Life Center in Duson.
Burial was the St. Theresa Cemetery in Duson.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. James (HIlda)Breaux of Arnaudville; Mrs. Isidore (Masil)Larguier, Virginia Beach, Va., and Mrs. Paul (Evelyn) Nowacki, Baton Rouge; three sons, Harold Richard, Watson, Texas , Leeward Richard, Huntsville, Ala., and Ted and Sherri Richard, Duson; 24 grrandchiilde, 25 great-great grandson; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a native of Broussard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Ernest and Eve Richard; seven sisters; four brothers; a beloved sun, Enest Richard; and one grandson, Jamie Richard.
The Duhon Funeral Home in Rayne was in charge of arrangements.

Clothilde Thibodeaux
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, in St. John the Baptist Church in Lyons Point, with Father Thomas Pousson officiating for Clothilde Thibodeaux, 86, of Lyons Point, who died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, in American Legion Hosptial in Crowley.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel.
Burial was in Hanks Cemetery in Morse.
She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-laws, Virgil (Johnny) and Shirleen Thibodeaux, Lyons Point, Ray A. and Eva Thibodeaux, Egan, Earl and Dianna Thibodeaux, Carlyss, Terry M. and Paula Thibodeaux, Huntsville, Texas , and Joey and Wendy Thibodeaux, Columbia; three daughters and sons-in-laws, Belle Kobodeaux, Angleton, Texas ; Marie T. and J.P. Smith, Jennings, and Sally T. and Roy J. Courville, Lafayette; one brother, Perdnand Broussard, Kaplan; 22 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Ms. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by her husband, Maurcie F. Thibodeaux; her parents, Odillon and Claudia Broussard; three brothers, two sisters, one grandson, Kyle M. Kibodeaux; and a son-in-law, Ferdie Kibodeaux.
She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Altar Society for over 60 years.

Marie Magnon
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Josh Smith officiaitng, for Marie Magnon, 70, of Crowley, who died at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at 5:30 a.m. in American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
Burial was in the Indian Bayou Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sallana and Ricky Mouton, Crowley; two sisters, Caudrey Monceaux and Eula Mae Gaspard, both of Kaplan; and three grandchilren.
Ms.Magnon was preceeded in death by her husband, Osen Magnon, Jr.; her parents, Rene and AurerliaTouchet; two brothers, Hypolite and Linus Touchet; and two sisters Lena Frith and Eve Meaux.
Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley was in charge.

Murphy Thibodeaux
Funeral services were held Friday, February 20, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Murphy Thibodeaux, 83, who died Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at the Crowley American Legion Hospital.
Survivors include three sons, Donald, Harold, and Larry Thibodeaux, all of Rayne; one daughter, Lucille Foreman of Rayne; one brother, Dallas Thibodeaux of Rayne; 17 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by his wife Odile Istre Thibodeaux, one granddaughter, Mitzi Thib-odeaux, one great-grandson, Bryson Thibodeaux; two brothers, Cleveland and Sidney Thibodeaux; and one sister, Effie Hebert.
A Rosary was recited Thursday at 7 p.m.
Burial was in the Leger Cemetery under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.

Andrus (Andy)Arceneaux, Sr.
DUSON ––Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 21, 2004, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, with Father Bill Ruskoski officiating, for Andrus (Andy)Arceneaux, Sr., 78, of Duson, who died at 7:55 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, in Lafayette General Medical Center.
A rosary was recited Sunday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
He is survived by two sons, Kermit Arceneaux, Liberty, Texas , and Andrus, Jr., and his spouse, Brenda Arceneaux of Cankton; two daughters, Edna and Leon Stelly, Lafayette, and Barbara and Kenneth Duhon, Maurice; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Odile K. Arceneaux; two daughters, Laura and Debbie Arceneaux; his parents, Fisley and Pauline Arceneaux; two sisters, Annie Mae Istre and Inez Breaux; and one brother, Murphy Arceneaux.
He was a native of Duson and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Pallbearers were Michael Stelly, Jody Arceneaux, Nicholas Arceneaux, Kasey Crabtree, Justin Arceneaux, and Nicholas Comeaux.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne is in charge of arrangements.

Rufus Roy
A memorial service will be held at a later date for Rufus Roy, 86, of Crowley, who died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. in the Crowley Guest Home.
He is survived by two sisters, Daisy Roy Mitchell, Houston, Texas , and Jeanelle Roy Scobee, Lake Charles; and two brothers, Fernan A. Roy, Elcampo, Texas , and George Roy, Chico, California.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rogene Isabelt Roy; his parents, Leona Fruge and Fernan Roy; and one brother, Francis Roy.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a native of Iota and a resident of Crowley.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Emily E. Breaux
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, in Cunningham C.M.E. Methodist Church in Rayne for Emily E. Breaux, who went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004.
interment will be in the Rayne Protestant Cemetery.
The Rev. W.K. Rucker, pastor of Cunningham C.M.E. Church will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Breaux was a native and life long resident of Rayne. She was a member of Cunningham C.M.E. Church.
She was born on February 8, 1906, to the union of the late Charlie and Florence Evans.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory a son, Lester Harris (Willie Moe) of Dallas, Texas ; her daughter, MaeBelle Harrison (Tracy) of Rayne; her granddaughter who she also raised, Kendra Harrison (Levin) of Rayne; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Nettie Wycoff of Port Arthur, Texas ; three brothers, Oran Evans of Rayne, and Amos and George Evans, both of Port Arthur, Texas ; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Breaux; her parents, Charlie and Florence Evans; eight sisters, Alberta McDonald, Flora Syers, Esther Phillips, Evelyn Dunn, Vernita Evans, Mae Belle Harrison, Rebecca LeBlanc , and Wanda Evans; and three brothers, Percy Evans, Charlie Evans, Jr., and Roland Evans.
Visitation will be observed at Cunningham C.M.E. Church from 8 a.m.Saturday until time of services.
Syrie Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Hilman Lyons
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, in the funeral home chapel, with Father Bill Ruskoski officiating, for Hilman Lyons, 69, of Rayne, who died suddenly Thursday, Feb. 5, at his home.
A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
Burial was in the Arceneaux Cemetery in Rayne.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil Lyons, Rayne; two sons, Mardy Lyons and Jeffery Lyons, both of Rayne; one daughter, Cynthia Lyons, Rayne; one brother, Paul Lyons, Jennings; one sister, Ella Mae Richard, Jennings; and two grandchildren, Marvin and Kevin Lyons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche Clavier and Etienne Lyons; three brothers, Etienne, Jr., Lee Louis and Nelson Lyons; and three sisters, Shirley Guilbeau, Gladys Dugas and Nelda Comeaux.
Mr. Lyons ws a 32nd Mason and a member of Crowley Lodge 243. He was a past master and also a Shriner.
He was a former Rayne police officer and a truck driver for Rayne Plastic.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.
