Charles Conrade Boudreaux
CROWLEY –– Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, in St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Lawtell, with Father Picard officating, for Charles Conrade Boudreaux, 55, of Crowley, who died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, in the Crowley Guest Home.
Burial was in the St. Bridget Cemetery
in Lawtell.
He is survived by four brothers, George Boudreaux and Alcee Boudreaux, Jr., both of Lawtell, Edwin “Eddie” Boudreaux, Okeechobee, Fla., and James “Jo” Boudreaux, Walker; and four sisters, Mrs.Remi (Reva) Richard, Church Point, Mrs. James (Jerry) Begnaud, Iowa, Mrs. Harry (Patty) Bertrand, Lafayette, and Mrs. Archie (Elaine) Comeaux, Baton Rouge.
Mr. Boudreaux was preceded in death by his parents, Alcee and Blanche Boudreaux; one brother, Vickman Boudreaux; and three sisters, Eura Patrick, Birdie Boudreaux and Ida Boudreaux.

Eunice B. Legnon
Funeral services were held Sunday Feb. 23, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the St. Leo Catholic Church in Roberts Cove for Eunice B. Legnon, 97, who died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at the Rayne Guest Home.
Survivors include one son and his wife, Henry L. and Jeanne Guidry Legnon of Lafayette; two daughters, Elizabeth L. Thibodeaux of Rayne, and Marie L. and her husband Lawrence Habetz of Roberts Cove; one sister, Eloise "Chic" Judice of Lafayette; grandchildren Donald L. Thibodeaux, Rebecca Miller, Josette Melanson, Ann Smith, Michael Thibodeaux, Kathy Ghaly, Hope H. Hoffpauir, Brian L. Habetz, Fara H. Boudreaux, Joel L. Habetz, Lawrence J. Habetz, II, and Wayland Guidry; her great- grandchildren, Joshua L. Hoffpauir, Zachary S. Hoffpauir, Sara Habetz, Logan Habetz, Annie Marie Boudreaux, Camille Ida Boudreaux, Blake Veazey, Hanah Veazey, Tonya Doucet, Casey Guidry, Dustin Guidry, Todd Miller, Blaine Thibodeaux, Aaron Thibod-eaux, Ashley Thibod-eaux, Shawn Thibodeaux, Brady Duplantis, Christy Duplantis, Nicole Thibod-eaux, M.J. Thibodeaux, Jonathon Smith, Michael Thomas, Lauren Ghaly, and six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Legnon was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Henry Louis Legnon Sr.; her parents, Ophe and Aurlien Duhon Broussard; one brother, Gilbert Broussard; six sisters, Marie Mouchet, Eva B. Kirsch, Cecile B. Arnold, Rose B. Arnold, Electa B. Theriot, and Francis B. Jaques.
Pallbearers were her grandsons Donald L Thibodeaux, Michael Thibodeaux, Brain L. Habetz, Joel L. Habetz, Lawrence J. Habetz II, Wayland Guidry Clark Hoffpauir, and Benjamin Boudreaux.
Honorary Pallbearers were her great-grandsons.
Visitation was Saturday from 2 until 10 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until service time. A Rosary was recited Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
Burial was in the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery
under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.
Truman Stagg
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Truman Clyde Stagg, 88, who died Feb 22, 2003, at the Retirment Center in Baton Rouge.
Survivers include his wife, Marie Louise Smith Stagg, of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Lucile Marie S. Holmes of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Chris Ellen Yingling, of Atlanta Ga., and Craig Thomas Yingling of Houston Tx.; and one brother, Lauren R. Stagg.
Mr. Stagg was preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Delia F. Bruner Stagg; and one brother Harry L. Stagg.
Burial was in the Rayne Cemetery
under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.
Irene Martel McBride
CHURCH POINT –– Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, with Father Nick Trahan officiating, for Irene Martel McBride, 82, of Church Point, who died at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, in the Acadia-St. Landry Hospital.
Burial was in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Lawtell Mausoleum.
A rosary was recited Thursday at 7 p.m.
She is survived by two sons and their wives, Charles Ray and Eva Rose McBride, of Lafayette, and John Dale and Jackie McBride of Church Point; four daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Glenn Thibodeaux and Roma McBride, all of Church Point, Diana and Harold Richard, Lafayette, and Sally Daigle, Opelousas; two sisters, Virgie Andrepont, Beaumont, Texas , and Syble Dellenger, Vidor, Texas ; one foster child of 34 years, Debra K. Daily, New Iberia; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Norwood McBride; her parents, Arthur and Elise Martel; two brothers, Ernest and Hillman Martel; and three sisters, Mary Roberts, Lenola Sonnier and Nelda Chaney.

Esther M. Phillips
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Cunningham C.M.E. Church for Esther M. Phillips, 95, who died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at the Crowley Guest House.
The Rev. W.K. Rucker will officiate at the services.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at Cunningham C.M.E. Church from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday until time of services.
interment will be in Our Mother of Mercy Cemetery.

Alcide Forestier
DUSON –– Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, in Assumption Catholic Church in Mire, with Msgr. Harrington officiating, for Alcide Forestier, 76, of Duson, who died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at 7 p.m. in American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
Burial was in Assumption Cemetery.
A rosary was recited Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel by the Knights of Columbus No. 3870 of Duson and Deacon Dan Besse.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Forestier, Crowley; one son and his wife, Jimmy and Sable Forestier, Church Point; one daughter and her husband, Mary Lou and Ronald Doucet, Rayne; one sister, Gertie Lantier, Rayne; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Anna Lou Forestier; and one son, Johnny Forestier; his parents, Arista and Odelia Cormier Forestier; two brothers, Issac and Edward Forestier; and three sisters, Delia Champagne, Ezola Breaux and Lillian Thibodeaux.
Mr. Forestier was a third degree knight in Knights of Columbus Council 3870 of Duson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

John Stelly
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, in St. Joseph Church here, with Father Thomas Vu officiating, for John Stelly, 68, of Rayne, who died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
He is survived by one son and his wife, Roland and Linda Stelly, Mire; one daughter and her husband, Patricia and Geoffrey Richard, Rayne; three brothers, Lionel Stelly, Raymond Stelly and Paul Stelly, all of Opelousas; three sisters, Elsie Deville, Opelousas, Ann Tate, Grand Coteau, and Laura Fontenot, Port Allen; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Stelly was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Stelly; one son, Ronald Joseph Stelly; his parents, Clemtine and Lionel Stelly; and four brothers, Darneville, David, Simon and Bobby Stelly.

Laura Klumpp Hoffpauir
Funeral services were held here at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Bill Ruskoski officiating, for Laura Klumpp Hoffpauir, 83, of Rayne, who died at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at her residence here.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Gregory Hoffpauir, Rayne; one daughter, Patricia H. Frost, Alexandria; one brother, J.C. Klumpp, Basile; four sisters, Lucy Guillory, Mariek Fish, Houston, Texas , and Emma June K. Wood and Cleo “K.K.” Leger, both of Basile; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vurtis Hoffpauir; her parents, Joseph and Angeline Klumpp; one daughter, Angelina Hoffpauir; one sister, Niki Frankques; two brothers, Dominic Klumpp, and Roman Klumpp; and one granddaughter, Christine Petitjean.

Percy Lee “Tuby” Sensat
Percy Lee “Tuby” Sensat, 77, died at his home here on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, after a long illness with Alzheimers.
Services were held Jan. 9, 2003, at Geesey Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley at 3 p.m.
interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery
in Crowley.
Survivors include a companion Poochie Theunissen; one stepson, Troy Benoit and Jane Cortez; one stepdaughter, Trudy Hooper; five step-grandchildren, Dustin Benoit, Yola Cortez, Matthew, Daniel and Trisha Hooper; one brother, Elhugh Sensat and his wife Betty; three sisters, Una Sensat Thibodeaux, Florence Sensat Prevost and Leatrice Sensat Lormand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lelia Tanner Sensat and John W. Sensat; three brothers, Stanley Sensat, Lloyd Sensat and Curtis Sensat; two sisters, Hazel Sensat Armentor and Eunice Sensat Flash.
Pallbearers were Dennis and Garrett Lormand, Troy and Dustin Benoit and Matthew and Daniel Hooper.
Trisha Hooper and Yola Cortez did the readings at the service and Mary Bingham read the eulogy.
