Inez Breaux Credeur
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2005, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Buddy Breaux officiating, for Inez Breaux Credeur, 79, of Rayne, who died at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2005, in Crowley’s American Legion Hospital.
Visitation was observed Sunday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
She is survived by one son, Edward Credeur, Jr., Rayne; three daughters, Barabara Marceaux, Midland, Gail Petri, Crowley, and Darlene Trahan, Crowley; one sister, Ethel Mouton, Rayne; one brother, Lenes Breaux, Rayne; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Credeur; a great-grandson, Casey Cahanin; her parents, Lucille Boudreaux and Clemille Breaux; three brothers, Ignace, Camile and Gladie Breaux, Sr.; and two sisters, Eress Stafford and Gladys Bergeron.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Raymond Paul Domingue
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Raymond Paul Domingue, 78, who died Saturday, July 9, 2005, at Crowley American Legion Hospital.
interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #1.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ann Denslow and husband Bruce Denslow, of Chesterfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Joseph, Amy, Tracy, John, Samantha, Jaime, Donovan and Lauren; and one greatgrandchild, Noah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sydney Domingue and Edna Richard Domingue.
Mr. Domingue served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion in Rayne. He enjoyed fishing and giving his catch away to family and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Society.
A rosary will be recited at 12 noon Saturday.
The family requested that the visiting hours will be observed Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne.

James Herbert Labauve, Jr.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2005, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Bill Ruskoski officiating, for James Herbert Labauve, Jr., 39, of Crowley, who died at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 3, 2005, at his Crowley residence.
A rosary was recited Monday, July 4, at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Visitation was observed Monday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his father, James Herbert Labauve, Sr., of Crowley; stepmother, Marlene Labauve, Crowley; two brothers, Jeremy Labauve of Rayne and Kevin and Shannon Powell Labauve, of Church Point; three sisters and their spouses, Tessa Labauve, Crowley, Louanna and Chester Credeur, Rayne and Tammy Labauve, Rayne; five nieces and nephews, Tannah Labauve, Gavin Labauve, Shelly Labauve, Ashley Lavergne, and Ronald Lavergne; maternal grandmother, Mable Sonnier, Rayne; paternal grandmother, and Mae Labauve, Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lou Anna Sonnier; and grandfathers, Ceaser Labauve, and Ulyesse Sonnier.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Labauve, Kyle Leger, Chester Credeur, Kevin Labauve, Allen “Noochie” Credeur, and Jeremy Granger.
Honorary pallbearers were John Labauve, Joseph “Wa” Credeur, T-Ton “Shrimp” Lavergne and Timothy Granger.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Ethel Mae Logan Gabriel
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church for Ethel Mae Logan Gabriel, 78, who Passed away Friday, July 8, 2005,. at her residence in Rayne.
Fr. Richard Wagner, S.S.J., will be the celebrant of the Mass. interment will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Ann (John) Washington and Ida Marie (Wilson) Rubin, both of Rayne; three sons, Kenneth L. Gabriel, Sr., and John Rossie Gabriel, Sr. both of Rayne, and Bertrand Adam Gabriel of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Wilson Rubin, Kennetra Gabriel, Jacqueline Gabriel, Soyna Gabriel, Kenneth Gabriel, Jr., Amber Gabriel, and John Gabriel, Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Zi’era Gabriel and Antonio Gabriel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bertrand Adam Gabriel, Sr.; mother, Ida Johnson Logan; father, Louis Neville Logan; and sister, Enola Logan Gabriel.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 16, 2005, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church from 8 a.m. until time of service with a rosary to be recited at 9 a.m.
Syrie Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Nicole “Nikki” Brown Augustus
Crowley - Funeral services were held Saturday, July 2, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Agappe’ Pentecostal Church for Nicole Brown Augustus, 29, who Passed away Monday, June 27, 2005, in Crowley. The Rev. Joseph Damon officiated the services.
interment was in South Crowley Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Dexter Augustus of Rayne; mother, Charlene Bates Brown of Crowley; daughter, Cartaya Bias of Carencro; brother, Shawn M. Brown of Crowley; two sisters, Cissley Bates of Crowley and Joanna Lynne Perkins of Houston, Texas ; and a special family, The Senegal family of Rayne; maternal grandmother, Lillian Bates of Crowley; godparents, Mr. And Mrs. Joe Neal Francis of Crowley; and a special childhood friend, Jamel Pitre of Crowley. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Joseph Louis Brown, Sr.; a brother, Joseph Louis Brown, Jr.; sister, Monica Louise Brown; maternal grandfather, Murphy Bates, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Dominick and Joanne Brown; and a special father figure friend, Frank Senegal.
Visitation was observed Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Agappe’ Pentecostal Church, 813 W. 10th Street, Crowley, from 7 a.m. until time of services.

Rita T. Latiolais
CHURCH POINT –– Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2005, in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Church Point, with Father Michael Polson officiating, for Rita T. Latiolais, 81, of Church Point, who died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005, at Opelousas General Hospital.
Visitation was observed from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
A rosary was recited Monday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial was in the old church cemetery in Church Point.
She is survived by four sisters, Wilma Bellard, Crowley, Mary Guidry, Rayne, and Gladys Guidry and Thelma Mire, both of Church Point; two brothers Filton Thibodeaux and John “Boone” Thibodeaux, both of Baton Rouge; a devoted foster child, Howard and Jeanette McBride, Church Point; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C.Lataiolais; her parents, Emma Olivier and Didier Thibodeaux; four brothers; and one sister.
Duhon Funeral Home of Church Point was in charge of funeral arrangments.

Ardie Ray Sarver
INDIAN BAYOU –– Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, with the Rev. John Lacasio officiating, for Ardie Ray Sarver, 72, of Indian Bayou, who died at 9:20 a.m. Monday, July 4, 2005, in the Lafayette General Medical Center.
Visitation was observed Tuesday from 5 until 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Sarver, Indian Bayou; one son, Jeremy Ray Sarver, North Carolina; two brothers, Elmer Sarver, Indian Bayou, and Douglas Sarver, Bunkie; four sisters, Anna Mae Sarver, Ebenezer, Ireck Bertrand, Ebenezer, Audrey Romero, Crowley, and Betty Fontenot, Indian Bayou.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Beulah Spell and John Lester Sarver; and one brother, Horace Sarver.
Mr. Sarver was a rice farmer and a mechanic in the Indian Bayou Community and the surrounding towns.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of arragemenets.

George Washington

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2002, in Cunningham C.M.E. Church here, with the Rev. Rucker officiating, for George Washington , 47, who died May 24, 2002, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until time of services Saturday in the church.
Burial will be in Rayne Protestant Cemetery.
He is survived by his father, Augdon Washington , Sr., three daughters, Melanie Washington , Rene Sias, and Kamesha Washington , all of Rayne; two sons, Keltrin Washington and Shannon Washington , both of Rayne; three brothers, Augdon Washington , Jr., and Darrell Roberts, both of Rayne, Troy Washingon, Duson; a stepbrother, William Monroe, Rayne; four sisters, Leona Sinegal, Detroit, Mich., Leverdia Sinegal, Carol Joseph and Dorothy Cole, all of Rayne, and Areldea Washington , Duson; and three grandchildren.
Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Crowley is in charge of funeral arrangements.
