Norris James Bergeron, Sr.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, with Msgr. Russell Harrington officating, for Norris James Bergeron, Sr., 58, of Church Point, who died at 5:33 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, in the Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point.
A rosary was recited Saturday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial was in the Abshire Cemetery
in rural Kaplan.
He is survived by his wife, Barabara Bergeron, Mire; two sons and their spouses, Dwayne (Pookie) and Tanya Bergeron of Mire, and Norris and Nichole Bergeron, Mire; two daughters and their spouses, Tammy and Church Terro and Camella and Keith Richard, all of Mire; one brother, Ronald Bergeron, Lafayette; one sister, Mary Lou Stelly, Rayne; and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. Aldus Bergeron and Amy Savoie Bergeron; and three brothers, Rayford, Aaron and Kermit Bergeron . He was an avid fisherman. For 17 years, he worked in the oilfied as a salesman. From 1987 to 2000, he resided in Orlando, Fla., where he had his own construction business. From 2001 to 2003, he was a deputy sheriff for Acadia Parish.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, brother, sister, grandchildren and many friends.

Bryan Domingue
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Bryan Domingue, age 47, who died Monday, November 15, 2004, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery
in Rayne.
Rev.Keith J. DeRouen, Pastor, Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, was the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and conducted the services.
Joni Hamilton, organist, sang for the services, “Amazing Grace”, “Ave Maria” “How Great Thou Art” and “Be Not Afraid”.
Survivors include his parents, Stanford J. and Rosa Perrodin Domingue; two sisters, Mrs. Robert “Betty” Babineaux and Mrs. Gregory “Cynthia” Guilbeau; two brothers, Charles Savoy and Dean Cummings; three nieces, Michelle and Ashley Cummings and Rachel Babineaux Faulk; three nephews, Dwayne Babineaux, Chad Savoy and Christopher J. Guilbeau; five great nieces, Brandy and Crystal Faulk, Sydnee Babineaux, Dorothy Jane and Mary Kate Savoy; and his loving dog, Prissy.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Delton Perrodin and Mr. and Mrs. Whitney Domingue.
A native of Rayne and a resident of Lafayette since 1972, Mr. Domingue was a generous and caring person who was always there to lend a helping hand.
A rosary was prayed Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Phillip Perrodin, Ryan Thibodeaux, Seth Hebert, Robert Miller, Jr., Scotty Thibodeaux, Andy Mire and Jamie Alleman.
Arrangements were entrusted to Martin & Castille Funeral Home, Inc. of Lafayette.
Floyd Joseph Fruge
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, in the funeral home chapel, with Father Bill Ruskoski officiating, for Floyd Joseph Fruge, 67 of Jennings, who died at 8:30 pm. Tuesday, Nov., 9, 2004 in Jennings’ American Legon Hospital.
Burial was in Rayne’s St. Joeseph Cemetery

Visitation was observed on Saturday from 8 a.m. untill time of service.
He is survived by one son, Michael Fruge, Sacremento, Calif.; one grandson, Ryan Fruge, Oregon; one sister, Mable Latiolais of Lafayette; and a host of great and grreat-great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fruge served in the U.S. Service , such as the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a native of Rayne, where he attended Rayne High. He was a resident of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Saul Fruge and Josiphine Savoie Fruge; two brothers, Nelton and Odelle Fruge; and one sister, Cecile Richard.

Loma G. Meche
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Mire for Loma G. Meche, 69, who died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Southwest Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband John L. Meche of Mire; two daughters, Marlene M. Hanks of Lafayette, and Roxanne M Alleman of Rayne; one son, Cleter J. Meche of Carencro; two brothers, Lawrence Gary of Lake Livingston Texas , and Gilbert Gary of Lafayette; two sisters, Sable Meche of Rayne, and Bulsey Mire of Mire; and five grandchildren.
Burial was in the Assumption Cemetery
under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.
Arthur James Veazey
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Bill Rukoski officiating, for Arthur James Veazey, 62, of Rayne, who died at 9:25 p.m.Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
A rosary was recited Friday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery

Visitation was observed Friday from 4 to 10 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to time of services.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Veazey, Rayne; and one son and spouse, Randal and Jennifer Veazey, Baton Rouge.
Mr. Veazey was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Veazey and Edith Derouen Veazey; and one brother, J.Roy Veazey.

Camilla H. Vienne
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Camilla Haure Vienne, 82, who died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Frankie and Jerry Arceneaux, of Rayne, Rhena and Anthony Cramer of Roberts Cove, and Sheila and Bradley Breaux of Mire; two sons and their wives, Keith and Mona Vienne of Rayne, and Dean and Kathy Vienne of Lafayette; one brother and his wife, James Curney and Hilda Haure of Rayne; one sister-in-law, Clara C. Haure of Rayne; 21 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Vienne; one daughter, Susan Vienne; her parents, Pierre and Mathilda Trahan Haure; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Peter Haure Jr.
She was a member of the Chamber of Commerce serving as secretary for the Rayne Frog Festival, also a member of the Association of Retarded Children, and was a religion teacher at St. Joseph Catholic CCD program.
Visitation was Tuesday Nov. 8, 2004, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until services, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday evening.
Burial was in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery

James Melvin Hoffpauir
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Hardy Ulmet officiating, for James Melvin Hoffpauir, 63, of Estherwood, who died at 6:08 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, in Crowley’s American Legion Hospital.
Burial was in the Ebernezer Methodist Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Violia Hoffpauir, Estherwood; one son, David Dale Hoffpauir, French Settlement; three daughters, Melissa Hanks, Duson, Alice Cao, Scott, and Samantha Thai, Lafayette; and 11 grandchildren.
Mr. Hoffpauir served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Crisis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eunice Primeaux Hoffpauir, and one sister, Dorothy Hoffpauir.

Marjorie Stewart Thibodeaux
CROWLEY –– Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, in the Northside Assembly in Crowley, with the Rev. Singley officiating, for Ms. Marjorie Stewart Thibodeaux, 72, of Bell City, who died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2002, in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
Burial was in the North Hanks Cemetery
in Crowley.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Touchet, Grand Lake, and Greta Magnon, Rayne; two sons, Kenneth Magnon, Rayne, and Alvin Richard, Wheatfield, In.; one sister, Betty Monroe, Houston, Texas ; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Ms. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by her parents, Curley and Amelia Stewart; her husband, Wilfred Magnon; one son, Clifford Ray Magnon; and one brother, Curley Ray Stewart.

Hazel Marie Fruge Necessary
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Hazel Marie Necessary, 82, the former Hazel Marie Fruge, who died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Crowley American Legion Hospital.
The Rev. Eugene Tremie, pastor of St. Landry Catholic Church, was the celebrant of the funeral Mass and conducted the services.
interment was in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ted Barbara “Boo” Menard, of Rayne; three step-daughters, Marilynn Cox, of Jennings, Jane Boudreaux, of Jennings, Jean Istre, of Clebourne, Texas ; one daughter-in-law, Martha H. Dupuis, of Rayne; three sisters, Verna Mae “Timmy” Stelly, Priscilla Hollier, and Genevieve Thomas, all of Rayne; ten grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
She preceded in death by her husband, James Necessary; one son, Ralph Dupuis, Jr.; and one brother, Romain Charles Fruge, Jr..
Mrs. Necessary was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, she loved traveling, square dancing, sewing, and being with family and friends. She retired from the Restaurant business after 20 years.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Pallbearers were Ralph Dupuis, III, Scott Dupuis, Chris Dupuis, Teddy Menard, Danny Menard, and Adam Menard. Honorary pallbearer was Jay Doming.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne.
Nelma Comeaux Morgan
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at a Mass of Christian Burial in Gossen Funeral Chapel for Nelma Comeaux Morgan, 75, who died at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at her residence.
interment were in Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery.
The Rev. Thomas Vu, associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, was the celebrant of the funeral Mass and conducted the service. Joe Talhelm, pastor of Ebenezer Church of The Nazarene, assisted.
Survivors include her husband, Frank E. “Sam” Morgan, of Rayne; one daughter, Janet Morgan Adams, of Ethel, Miss.; one sister, Lois Comeaux Leon, of Rayne; one brother, Gil Comeaux, Sr., of Rayne; six grandchildren, one great- grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Morgan Spaetgens, and parents, Whitney and Marie Louise Bernard Comeaux.
Mrs. Morgan was a member St. Joseph Catholic Church all her life and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday.
