Eunice Schmidt, 80
Funeral services for Eunice Gordon Schmidt, 80, of Jonesboro were held April 23 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Malcolm Self officiating. Burial followed in the Hodge Cemetery.
Mrs. Schmidt died April 21 at the Lincoln General Hospital.Born July 30, 1921 in Wyatt, she was retired from the bag mill.
Mrs. Schmidt was preceded in death by her husband Bill Schmidt and son Billy Schmidt.
She is survived by brother, Willie Gordon of Weston; sisters, Dorothy Sawyer of West Monroe and Ruby Watkins of Wyatt; special niece, Patsy Greer of Baton Rouge; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were Billy Joe Moore, Buster Self and Ira Reeves.
Pallbearers were Johnny Gordon, Mark Gordon, David Jones, Larry Peevy, John Savage, Tayler Sawyer, John Ed Quarles and Rickey McBride.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Stahl
Emma Stahl, 79
Funeral services for Emma Helen Stahl, 79, of Jonesboro were held at the Gloryway Church in Dodson on April 28 with the Rev. Ronnie Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the Millersburg Cemetery in Millersburg, Mo.
Mrs. Stahl died April 25 at Jackson Parish Hospital.
Born Nov. 11, 1922 in Bienville, she was a housewife.
She is survived by one son, Eddie Stahl of Oklahoma City; brothers, Harold Shields and Ted Shields, both of Chalmette; and one sister, Mary Taylor of Dodson.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Caskey
James Caskey, 77
Graveside services for James Thomas Caskey, 77, were held April 16 at the Garden of Memories with the Rev. R.C. Smith officiating.
Mr. Caskey died April 14 at the Jackson Parish Hospital.
Born in Arcadia on Feb. 1, 1925, he worked in management and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Parker Caskey.
He is survived by sons, David “Hoot” Caskey and wife Bonita of Jonesboro and Grady Edward Caskey and wife Debra of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughter, Kathy Annette Jarreau and husband Jay of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chad Caskey, Jay Caskey, Matt Caskey, Sean Caskey and Mark Daniels.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Huckaby
Alta Mae Huckaby, 85
Graveside services for Alta Mae Huckaby, 85, of Jonesboro were held April 12 at the Fellowship Cemetery with the Rev. Loy Gaar officiating.
Mrs. Huckaby died April 10 at the Jackson Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was a retired retail sales clerk.
She is survived by son, Bobby Huckaby and wife Susan of Jonesboro; grandsons, Lance Huckaby and wife Devie of Jonesboro and Craig Huckaby of Jonesboro; great-grandson, Holden Huckaby of Jonesboro; sister, Oline Prothro of Shreveport; and a host of other relatives.
Services were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

McBride
Bobbie McBride, 81
Funeral services for Bobbie T. King McBride, 81, of Hodge were held April 13 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jessie Stripland and Brother Dwayne M. Boudreaux officiating. Burial followed in the Zion’s Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. McBride died April 11.Born May 9, 1920 in Jonesboro, Mrs. McBride was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Jere McBride and wife Brenda of Shreveport; daughter, Cindy Walpole and husband Eddie of Hodge; brother, E.L. “Bud” King of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Dr. Jere W. McBride and wife Stephanie of League City, Texas , Brian James McBride and wife Stephanie of Baton Rouge and Ashley Kate Reeves of Hodge; and great-grandson, William James McBride of League City.
Honorary pallbearers were the men of the Zion’s Rest Primitive Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were Morgan Cockerham, Mark Gordon, Huey Massey, Brian McBride, Jere McBride and Duncan Smith.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Stevenson
Ethel Stevenson, 84
Funeral services for Ethel Eugene Stevenson, 84, of Jonesboro were held April 13 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Willie Cottrell and Perry Lassiter officiating. Burial followed at the Jonesboro Cemetery.
Ms. Stevenson died April 11 at Lincoln General Hospital.
Born Nov. 25, 1917 in Jonesboro, she was a retired bag inspector from Continental Can Company.
She is survived by nieces, Patricia Hill and husband Charles of North Hodge, Glenda Rowe and husband Sonny of Houston, JoAnn Heilebrink and husband Dave of Hope, Ark. And Freida Vallery of Calhoun; nephew, Larry Peevy and wife Linda of Jonesboro; special cousins, Jearl Savage of Farmerville and Willie V. Martin of Jonesboro; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers were Brandon Cooper, Gary Hill, Larry Peevy, Larry Peevy, Jr., Ronnie Savage and Dean Slaughter.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Caskey
Joe Caskey, 81
Funeral services for Joe H. Caskey, 81, of Jonesboro were held April 3 at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy McBride officiating. Burial followed in the Antioch Cemetery.Mr. Caskey died April 1 at the Jackson Parish Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Caskey was a retired machine tender with Continental Can.
He is survived by his wife, Joetta Caskey of Jonesboro; sons, Robert L. Caskey of Clute, Texas and Harry L. Caskey of Quitman; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Donaldson
Jean Donaldson, 75
Funeral services for Jean Donaldson, 75, of Ruston were held April 10 at the Owens Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston with the Rev. James Evans officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesboro City Cemetery.
Mrs. Donaldson died April 8 at Lincoln General Hospital.
She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ed Donaldson of Ruston; children, Kara Donaldson Giddings and husband Steve of Ruston and Kyle Donaldson and wife Tammy of Lafayette; and two grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home of Ruston.

Nolan
Emmett Nolan, 64
Funeral services for Emmett E. Nolan, 64, of Farmerville were held April 9 at the Antioch Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe Cannon, Kurt Auger and Robbie Lawson officiating. Burial followed in the Antioch Cemetery.
Mr. Nolan died April 6 in Farmerville.
Mr. Nolan was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church where he was in the past a Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent. He was a member of the Jaycees where he was a past president. He was a Mason. He coached little league baseball and church softball. His favorite pastime was his children and grandchildren with whom he loved to duck hunt. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren at the farm riding horses. He was a postal worker in Farmerville beginning in 1964 where he served as postmaster from 1979 until his retirement in 1998.He was preceded in death by his parents, The Rev. Esley Gray Nolan and Lois Pace Nolan and sister and brother-in-law Elva Gray Dean and Gladden Dean.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Bennett Nolan of Farmerville; son, Matt Nolan and wife Tricia of Monroe; daughter, Angela Nomey and husband Sonny of Jonesboro; brothers, Ted Nolan of Bernice, Fred Nolan of Farmerville and Paul Taylor Nolan of Denver, Colo.; sister Kathy Rose of Baker; grandchildren, April Dambois, Dustin Dambois, Audrey Nolan, Olive Nolan, Camille Nomey and Trey Nomey; and special nieces, Terri Gregory, Toni Grier and Tammi Anderson.Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association and the American Hearing Association.Honorary Pallbearers were Coleman Malone, Stein Baughman, Jr. and Winston Killien.
Pallbearers were Robbie Lawson, Kendal Terral, Phil Middleton, Mark Sikes, David Williams and Robert Allen.Services were under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.
