McDaniel
Dorothy McDaniel, 76
Funeral services for Dorothy Runyon McDaniel, 76, of Shreveport were held June 25 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Strawbridge officiating. Burial followed in the Garden of Memories.
Mrs. McDaniel died June 22 at Lincoln General Hospital.
Born April 19, 1927 in Jonesboro, she was a retail clerk. She is survived by a daughter, Anita LeMoine and husband Hugh of Shreveport; brothers, Henry Runyon and wife Mary V. of Jonesboro and Walter Runyon of Jonesboro; sisters, Evelyn Smitherman of Jonesboro and Katherine Smedley of Jonesboro; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charlie Smith, Bud Smith, Billy Pipes, Troy Smith, Keith Watkins and Grady Dean.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Rasberry
Herbert Rasberry, 90
Funeral services for Herbert “Pete” Rasberry, 90, of Quitman were held July 4 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Jinks officiating. Burial followed in the Beech Springs Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Rasberry died July 2 at Lincoln General Hospital.
Born Oct. 9, 1912 in Jonesboro he was a project engineer with the Louisiana Highway Department. He was also a long-time member of Beech Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tressie Rasberry.
He is survived by a daughter, May Beth Bradford and husband Vernon of Alton, Mo.; sons, Jack L. Rasberry and wife Delilah of Jefferson , Texas and Larry Rasberry and wife Sandy of Quitman; sister, Margaret Peel of Quitman; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearer was Delmar Womack.
Pallbearers were Wade Rasberry, J.W. Duck, Billy Ford, Robert Tyler Jr., Jeff Bradford and Pete Bradford.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Truelove
Samuel Truelove, 95
Funeral services for Samuel Jackson “Dink” Truelove, 95, of Jonesboro were held July 5 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Frank Shields and John Foster officiating. Burial followed in the Springhill Cemetery.
Mr. Truelove died July 2 at Winn Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born Oct. 15, 1907 in Cadeville, he was a veteran who served in the Army during World War II and a retired state employee.
He was preceded in Death by his wife, Dolly Dimple Truelove.
He is survived by daughters, Brenda McLeroy of Keithville and Tulonna Law and husband Don of Baker; son, Ernie Truelove and wife Judy of Winnfield; sister, Leona Shows of Chatham; three grandchildren, Frank Van Alstyne III of Keithville, Lisa “Truelove” Robinson of Shreveport and Romonda “Van Alstyne” Morgan of Keithville; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Dwain Hoss, Glen Truelove and Scotty Shreve. Pallbearers were Lymon Hall, Darrell Hoffpiur, John Ed Quarles, David Quarles, Toby Shreve and Mike Law.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Beavers
Mettie Beavers, 94
Funeral services for Mettie Jean Beavers, 94, of Pineville were held at the County Line Cemetery in Sikes on July 1 with the Rev. Sherwood Smith officiating.
Mrs. Beavers died June 29 at Glenwood Medical Center.
Born April 10, 1909 in Sikes, she was a nurse aid.
She is survived by one son, E.C. “Joe” Lambert and wife Hayrese of West Monroe; two sisters, Velma Roan of West Monroe and Claudia Lawrence of West Monroe; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Miller
Vivian Miller, 72
Funeral services for Vivian Allison Miller, 72, of Jonesboro were held June 25 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joey Bignar officiating. Burial followed in the Garden of Memories.
Mrs. Miller died June 23.Born Sept. 28, 1930 in Hodge, she was a secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Miller of Jonesboro; daughters, Tina Spillers and husband Woody of Quitman, Terry Barrilleaux of Slidell and Nancy Miller of Jonesboro; brother, Garland Allison of Texarkana, Texas ; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dr. Charles Garrett, Troy Smith, Ed Rich, Don Essmeier, Jimmy Rogers and Van Beasley.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Perry
Irvin Perry, 75
Services for Mr. Irvin Dawson Perry, 75, of Sterlington, were held on June 16 at the Mulhearn Funeral Chapel in Monroe with the Rev. Jack Phelps officiating and the Rev. Don Wilkinson assisting. Burial followed in the Twin Cities Memorial Gardens in West Monroe.
Mr. Perry died June 14 at north Monroe Medical Center. He joined the United States Navy in 1945, served in the South Pacific and was discharged in 1949. He retired from Continental Can Company after 35 years of service and worked at Chennault Golf Course. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Fae Smelser Perry of Sterlington; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jeannie Perry of Quitman; grandchildren Jo Anna Gibson, Courtney Batts, Landon Perry, Megan Perry, Paige Perry and Richard Trahan; great-grandson, Conner Gibson; brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Nell Perry; sisters, Merle Clary and Charlotte Greer and husband Charles; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Perry was a Special Pappa to Maddie Woodhead.
Pallbearers were Eric Woodhead, Brian Dayton, Bill Baker, Don Bell, Buck Raus and Jesse Dans. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Gates, Bubba Boyd, Judge Robert Farr, Bobby Mann, B.A. Stokes, Joe Chao, Fred Nugent, Dan Bannister and Larry Doyle.Services were under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe.

Redwine
Jake Redwine, 21
Graveside services for Jake Bradley Redwine, 21, of Georgetown, Texas were held at the Chatham Cemetery On June 29. A memorial service was held on June 27 at the Gabriels Funeral Home Chapel in Georgetown.
Mr. Redwine died June 26.Born June 26, 1982 in Richmond, Va., he was a student at Austin Community College and the owner of Jake’s Snakes and Reptile Enterprises.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy Redwine and Kaye (Roberts) Redwine of Georgetown; sister, Mandy Barfield of Little Rock, Ark., and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services were under the direction of Gabriels Funeral Chapel of Georgetown.

Wingate
Johnnie Wingate, 92
Funeral services for Johnnie Catherine Wingate, 92, of Chatham were held June 27 at the Chatham Baptist Church with the Revs. Johnnie Smith and Lynn Malone officiating. Burial followed in the Chatham Cemetery.
Mrs. Wingate died June 24 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Born Aug. 15, 1910 in Clay, she was a homemaker.
She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Chatham and was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and the Eastern Star. She was a resident of Chatham for more than 80 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred May.
She is survived by a son, Billy May and wife Geneva of Chatham; daughters, Freeda May Crowell and husband Ferrell of West Monroe and Mary Kate Tolar of Monroe; grandchildren, Lynn Crowell of Swink, Colo., Barry May of West Monroe and Todd Tolar of Dallas; four great-grandchildren, Brent Crowell, Stacey Crowell, Casey Crowell and Blake May.
Pallbearers were Lynn Crowell, Earl Bell, Casey Crowell, Todd Tolar, Ralph Malone and Terry Malone.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Johnson
Ethel Johnson , 89
Funeral services for Ethel Mae Johnson , 89, of Saline were held June 13 at the Strange Methodist Church with the Rev. Albert Wayne Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Strange Cemetery in Readhimer.
Mrs. Johnson died June 11 at Fountain View Nursing Home.
Born July 15, 1913 in Bienville, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Ann Crowder and husband Cecil of Saline; son, Richard M. Johnson and wife Jackie of Springhill; brother, Huey P. Burch of Minden; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Rick Johnson , Randall Johnson , Eric Crowder, J.H. Weaver, Eddie Burch, Wayne Harrison, James Teague, Terry Malone and Robert Roy Weaver.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.
