Linda Hawkins, 55
Funeral services for Linda Collinsworth Hawkins, 55, were held April 7 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Shields officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Goldonna.
Mrs. Hawkins died April 5 in Saline.
Born Feb. 28, 1949 in Jonesboro, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by daughter, Laurie Ann Durbin and husband Brian of Saline; sons, Michael Shane Hawkins and wife Kathie of Saline, Joshua Wesley Hawkins and wife Jennifer of Saline and Nicolas Lee Hawkins of Saline; mother and step-father, Mrs. Billie Southern and Ray Southern of Castor; sisters, Debbie Keiffer and husband Harvey of Goldonna and Sandy Keiffer; and husband Clifton of Goldonna; brothers, Barry Collinsworth of Castor and Mike Collinsworth of Goldonna; and grandchildren, Jordan, Ben, Brandon and Noah.
Pallbearers were Todd Weaver, Brad Weaver, Kenneth Morgan, Jason Keiffer, Justin Keiffer and Morgan Keiffer.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Oakes
Onie Oakes, 96
Funeral services for Onie White Brand Oakes, 96, of Winnfield were held April 5 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Tarver officiating. Burial followed in the Sikes Cemetery.
Mrs. Oakes died April 3 at Winn Medical Center.
Born Sept. 13, 1907 in Sikes, she was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Lou Creel; husbands, Louie Brand and James R. Oakes; and by brothers, Oscar White , Ira White , Arthur White and Horace White .
She is survived by daughters, Peggy Bozeman and husband Estes of Winnfield and Jimmie Jean Corry and husband Glynn of Ruston; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John D. Creel, Randy Creel, Matt Creel, Charles Abrahm, Michael Long and Stephen Long.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Terrell
Toney Terrell, 77
Funeral services for Toney E. Terrell, 77, of Arcadia were held March 30 at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial followed in the Olla Cemetery.
Mr. Terrell died March 27 at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Terrell is survived by his wife, Geneva Terrell of Arcadia; six sons, Bernard Eldridge Terrell of Tullos, Clyde Washington Terrell of Bryceland, Louis Ester Terrell and wife Cathy of Olla, Lonnie Eugene Terrell of Branson, Mo., Paul Cornelius Terrell and wife LaFern of Arcadia and Tony Edward Terrell and wife Gina of Simsboro; aunt, Ida Hutchison of Merridian, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Driskill
Marie Driskill, 86
Funeral services for Marie Driskill, 86, of Hodge were held June 3 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dwayne M. Boudreaux officiating. Burial followed in the Zion Cemetery in Fairview Alpha.
Mrs. Driskill died May 31 at Lincoln General Hospital.
Born Sept. 23, 1917 in Campti, she was a retired bag mill employee.
She is survived by one sister, Beulah Jo McLaren of Pineville; grandchildren, Richard Morris of Austin, Texas , Carolyn Ford of Columbus, Neb., Donna Stanford of Basile and Rita Stanford of Roanoke; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Richard Morris, George Carney, Travis Ables, Ed Hughes, Randall Harrington and Bobby Brinson.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Guillory
Martha Guillory, 60
Martha Ingram Guillory, 60, of Iowa Passed away Thursday, June 3, 2004 after battling with cancer.
Mrs. Guillory was a native of Quitman, La. and lived most of her life in Lake Charles before moving to LeBleu Settlement 10 years ago. She graduated from Westlake High School in 1961. She was a 1965 graduate of McNeese State University and in 1986 attained her Masters Degree. She began teaching Special Education in Sulphur in 1966. Mrs. Guillory taught in Welsh for seven years and for the last 15 years at J.L. Watson before retiring. She was a member of Westlake Church of God.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Ronald Guillory of LeBleu Settlement; one son, Thaddeus “Tad” Guillory of Lake Charles; two daughters, Amy Hannon of LeBleu Settlement and Anne Guillory or Westlake; her mother, Tennie Alexander Ingram of Jackson Parish; three brothers, Jimmy Ingram, Billy Ingram and Phil Ingram, all of Quitman; three sisters, Nancy Stevenson of Quitman, Sheila Dubroc of Homer and Kaye Fenn of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Sydnee Guillory and Saben and Jordan Pray.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Marion Ingram Brown.
Services were under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.

Pogue
Gladys Pogue, 93
Gladys Marie (Murphy) Pogue, age 93, of Winnfield, La., died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Parkview Nursing Hone in Winnfield, La. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield. She was also a member of the Keenagers, WMU, and the Tri L Sunday School Class.
She was the daughter of the late Edward Murphy and the late Tera (Smelley) Murphy and was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Pogue.
She is also survived by her one son, Charles Pogue of Jonesboro, La.; three grandchildren, Carla, Marla and Brandi; and three great-grandchildren, Heath, Kristi and Breyben.
Services were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La. Funeral services were June 11, 2004 at First Baptist Church of Winnfield with the Rev. Lindsey Burns officiating. interment was at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, La.

Bond
Casey Bond, 19
Casey Taylor Bond, 19, of Jonesboro, died June 11 at his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Bond is survived by his parents, Ray and Janet Bond of Jonesboro; brothers, David Bond and Ryan Bond, both of Jonesboro; sister Jennifer Mathews and husband Michael of Weston; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Walker
Jimmie Walker, 73
Funeral services for Jimmie Lee Walker, 73, of Jonesboro were held June 12 at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Freddie Shows and Robert Tyler officiating. Burial followed in the Harmony Grove Cemetery near Dodson.
Mr. Walker died June 10 at his home.
He was a native of Winn Parish and lived in Jackson Parish for many years. He served in the United States Air Force twice during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, John Boddie Walker and Lilly Mae Deese Walker and son Roy Gene Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Walker; four sons, Randy Walker and wife Lena of Jonesboro, Ricky Walker and wife Lori, Gary Walker and wife DeAnna, and Steve Walker and wife Jan, all of Quitman; brothers, J.B. Walker and John Walker, both of Jonesboro and Bobbie Walker of Winnfield; sisters, Nancy Myers and husband Jimmy of Shreveport, Ruby Culver and husband Raymond of Hodge, Jessie L. Watts and husband Malcomb and Glennie Harvey and husband Travis, both of Jonesboro; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Chad Walker, Michael Davis, Justin Medaries, Lavelle Brown, Clyde Myers, Larry Myers and Kenny Harvey.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Davis
Jerry Davis, 59
We pause now to celebrate the life of Brother Jerry Glenn Davis because the might voice of our God has spoken. Jerry, the oldest of the Davis children, was kind, fun-loving and caring to his family and those who knew him.
Because of his easy-going personality, he was affectionately called “Big Daddy” or the “River Coon.”
Born Nov. 22, 1944, to Bessie Davis and the late Gencie Davis of Quitman, Jerry grew up in the St. Rest Community. He joined the St. Rest Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Jerry graduated from Jasper Henderson High School in 1962. He married Sillersten Hall in 1963. To their union two children were born, Connie Bernell and Jerry Jerome.
In 1966, he was drafted into the United States Army and served three years. He served one year in the Vietnam War.
Jerry moved to Los Angeles in 1969. He started working at Armstrong World Industries as an inspector. He was the owner of an Internet business, D&C Merchants, as well. Jerry attended Southwest Junior College in Los Angeles. He lived in Los Angeles for 35 years but came home often to be with family.
Jerry will be missed and fondly remembered by his loving mother, Bessie Davis; children, Connie Fegans of Chatham, Jerry Jerome Davis of Houston, Michelle Britton of Lamarque, Texas , Tyson Hall of Winnfield and Tyrone Davis of Jonesboro, Ga. He leaves four grandchildren, LyQuinta, Jemika, Champaigne and Jazmia. Special memories will be cherished by his sisters, Jessie McNary of Matteson, Ill, Joyce Gambles and husband Larry of Matteson, Bessie Leonard and husband Robert of Pensacola, Fla., Ella Davis of Quitman; and one beloved brother, Gralin Davis and wife Georgette of Winnsboro. Jerry had one sister, Cheryl, to precede him in death. He leaves a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Through the bounds of love, Jerry had one god-sister, Mrs. Gloria Jackson of Long Beach, Calif.
His aunts were special to him. Those remaining are Fannie Leonard, Lizzie Leonard and Pearl Wilson. Because of his special bond with his aunts, he had a unique closeness to all of his cousins.
In California, Jerry attended Christian Unity Baptist Church where the Rev. Willie Davis Jr. served as pastor.
