Glynn Weary

BOGALUSA - Glynn Weary, age 36, a resident of 32515 Highway 21, Angie, died yesterday.

Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Bogalusa, is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.

Bobby Joe Boyte

POPLARVILLE, Miss. - Funeral services for Bobby Joe Boyte are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at North Spoon Baptist Church with Burdette Thomas and James McCraney officiating, White Funeral Home of Poplarville directing.

Burial will follow in Sones Chapel Church cemetery, with White Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation was from 6-9 p.m. Saturday and for one hour prior to today's service at White Funeral Home.

Mr. Boyte, 57, died Sept. 17, 1999 at Forrest General Hospital of Hattiesburg, Miss.

A member of North Spoon Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr.

Boyte was a self employed business man and owner/operator of Derby Wholesale. He was also a member of Sherrard Byrd Masonic Lodge No. 353.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Georgia Knight.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rosemary Scott Boyte, Poplarville, Miss.; one daughter, Andrea Hope Milley, Poplarville, Miss.; one son, Scotty Boyte, Poplarville, Miss.; a brother, Billy Boyte, Varnado, La., and three grandchildren.

Luke Warner Jr.

BOGALUSA - Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time for Luke Warner Jr., 92, who died Sept. 17, 1999 at the Washington -St. Tammany Regional Medical Center in Bogalusa.

Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge.

Donald R. Applewhite Sr.

(Died Sept 12, 1999)

BOGALUSA - A graveside service will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. in Ponemah Cemetery for Donald R. Applewhite, Sr., age 74, who died on Sunday, Sept 12 The Rev Keith Manuel will officiate.

A resident of Peoria, AZ, he was a native of Bogalusa, a U S Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a retired cabinet maker.

He is survived by three sons, Charles Applewhite, Donald Applewhite, Jr. and Walter Applewhite, all of Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sarah Ann Jenkins, Dewanna Jordan and Sybie Breland; and a brother, Jerry Applewhite.

The Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bonnie Dee DeCoursey

(Died Sept 19, 1999)
BOGALUSA - Funeral arrangements have been completed for Bonnie Dee DeCoursey, age 74, a resident of Bogalusa, who died Sunday as the result of an automobile accident.

A member of Annunciation Catholic Church, she was a retired nurse who worked in the office of Dr. Richard Hortman.

Preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. DeCoursey Sr , she is survived by two daughters, Margaret Baker of West Chester, OH and Karen Miller of Mena, AR; a son, Edward F. DeCoursey, Jr. of Bogalusa; a sister, Doris Potter of Bogalusa; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 5:30 to 10 p m at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, continuing tomorrow at noon until time for the funeral service at 3 p m in the chapel.

Deacon Chuck Hartman will officiate, with burial following in Ponemah Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service include Austin Saucier, Greg Johnson , Danny Potter, Bobby Potter, Ricky Potter and Alton Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are Rusty Pritchard, Randy Pritchard, Reid Pritchard, David Pritchard and Russell Pritchard.

Jonathan Wayne Rester

(Died Sept 19, 1999)
BOGALUSA - The funeral service for Jonathan Wayne Rester, age 16, will be held at 3 p.m. today in Superior Avenue Baptist Church, with the Rev Daniel Hall officiating.

Burial will follow in Seal Cemetery at Varnado.

A resident of Bogalusa, he died Sunday in Washington -St Tammany Regional Medical Center of injuries received in an accident.

He is survived by his parents, Doug and Andrea Green of Bogalusa; a sister, Rebekka Leanne Green of Bogalusa; a brother, Aaron Green of Bogalusa; his grandparents, Johnnie Rester, Billy Wayne and Jane Rester, Sarah and Mike Terry, O A and Theresa Green; his great-grandmother, Bonnie Williams; a special aunt and uncle, Angela and Ricky Adams; other aunts and uncles, including Cherish and Chad Martin, Vickie Chattalier, Doyle and Elizabeth Thomas, Lynne Mohon and Stanley Green; many cousins, including Whitney and Nicholas Adams, Madaline Corkern, Chelsey Rester, Breanna Caves, Courtney and Jearemy Hartfield, Dani Thomas, Tonya Green, Ben, Jennifer and Amy Mohon, and a special cousin, Trey Rester.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wayne Thomas; and grandparents, John D. Thomas, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Rester, Willie J and Bernadine Williams and Mr and Mrs Luby Magee.

Visitation was held yesterday from 7:30 to 10 p m at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, and continued today at 8 a m until time for the funeral service at the church.

Melba Annawythe Levy

(Died July 30, 1999)
BOGALUSA - Funeral services for Melbe Annawythe Levy were held yesterday at Poole- Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. with the Father Lawrence Phelps officiating. Visitation was also held Saturday at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m.

interment followed in Ponemah Cemetery.

Joyce Marie Bickham

(Died August 1, 1999)
ANGIE - Joyce Marie Bickham died yesterday at the age of 51. Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete.

Stella Jones Sanders

(Died August 1, 1999)
LA PLACE - Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa tomorrow at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Gary Martinez officiating. Stella Jones Sanders died Sunday at the age of 81 and was a native of Zona and a lifelong resident of Bogalusa. Visitation will be today form 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and continuing on Wednesday after 8 a.m.

interment will follow in Spencer Cemetery north of Enon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Earl Sanders; her parents, Edward Jones and Ardell George Jones; a brother, Bill Jones; one sister, Florence Jenkins and a grandson Scott Miley-Franson.

Survivors include a son, Edward "Eddie" Sanders of Shreveport; a daughter, Mrs. Betty (Sue) Franson of La Place; two grandchildren, Brenda Corey and Connie Lynn Sykes both of Arlington, TX; three great grandchildren, Rick Corey, Sarah Corey and Dillon Corey; and one brother, Bennie Jones of Bogalusa.

Richard A. Killingsworth

(Died Aug. 27, 1999)
WINNFIELD - Funeral services for Richard A. Killingsworth, 79, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the Hargis Baptist Church near Montgomery, La., with the Rev. Jeff Pollard officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery, Southern Funeral Homes of Winnfield directing.

Mr. Killingsworth died Aug. 27, 1999 at the Washington -St. Tammany Regional Medical Center in Bogalusa.

A member of the United States Navy during World War II, Mr. Killingsworth was a resident of the Hargis community.

He is survived by his wife, Mavis Hale Killingsworth, Hargis; his mother, Maudie McCillwain Killingsworth, Bogalusa; three sons, Ray Killingsworth, Ronnie Killingsworth and Ernest Killingsworth, all residents of Bogalusa; one brother, Henry K. Killingsworth, Canyon Lake, Texas , six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service today.

Robert Harold Harris

(Died Aug. 29, 1999)
BOGALUSA - Funeral services for Mr. Robert Harold Harris, 56, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home chapel, with the Revs. Perry Jackson and Joe Quave officiating jointly.

Burial will follow in Pounds Cemetery, Brown McGehee Funeral Home directing.

Visitation was from 5:30-10 p.m. Sunday and continued from 8 a.m. Monday until the time of the services.

Mr. Harris died Aug. 29, 1999 at his residence in Bogalusa.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy Ann Harris, his father, Edward F. Harris Sr., a sister, Jimmie Rose Mulford, and two brothers, Edward F. Harris Jr., and Sparks C. Harris.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Sheila McLaurin Harris, Bogalusa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy Lumpkin and Richard Lumpkin of Bogalusa and Deborah Gomez and Michael Gomez, St. Rose, La.; four sons, Trent McLaurin, Poplarsville, Miss., Eddie and Theresa Harris, Bobby and Roxann Harris and Jimbo and Regina Harris, all residents of Bogalusa; his mother, Dorothy C. Harris, Bogalusa; one sister, Lucille Hodge and husband J.W. Hodge of Bogalusa; one brother, Billy Harris and wife Kay Harris, Soldnota, Alaska; an aunt, Cecil Morris, Bogalusa, and 15 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in Mr. Harris' memory be made to the St. Tammany Hospice, 1202 Tyler St., Covington, La. 70433.

Joseph Preston Lea

(Died Aug 24, 1999)
BATON ROUGE - Graveside services for Joseph Preston Lea, a native of Bogalusa, were held at 1 p m today at Serenity Gardens in Milton, Fla with Lewis Funeral Home directing.

Church services were also conducted Thursday at Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, with the Rev David Womack officiating.

Mr. Lea died Aug 24, 199 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.

Born in Bessmay, Texas , Mr Lea grew up in Bogalusa, graduating from Bogalusa High School. He worked for the U S Postal Service in Baton Rouge for 41 years, retiring as director of customer services. He recently moved to Milton, Fla.

Survivors include his wife, Ardelia Johnson Lea, Milton; two daughters, Lennie Wells, Appleton, Wis , and Elizabeth Lea Wilson, Milton, Fla ; two sons, Arden J Lea, Bruce, Fla , and Randall Lea, Baton Rouge; one sister, Evelyn Lea Starks, Baton Rouge; one brother, H Donald Lea, Bogalusa; three grandsons, Arden J Lea Jr , Jesse Neal Freeman and Neilson David Lea; two granddaughters, Allison Lea Wells and Azur D Wilson.

Mr. Lea was a member and a deacon of Sherwood Baptist Church and a former member and deacon of Istrouma Baptist Church of Baton Rouge.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Sherwood Baptist Church Missions Funds.

Krystal Shyan Daughtery

(Died August 1, 1999)
OSYKA - Krystal Shyan Daughtery age 17 months, drowned Sunday afternoon in the Tangipahoa River near Kentwood.

Visitation will be at the Crain Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bobby Spears officiating. Burial will be in the Morris Cemetery. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Michelle Daughtery of Osyka; one brother, Shawn Daughtery of Osyka; and one unborn sibling; grandparents, Doris Creel and Paul Smith of Osyka and Ruth Gerhold and Ross Adams of Mt. Hermon; great grandmother, Edna Ordoyne of Franklinton and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by grandfathers Wilson Penton and Robert Daugherty, Sr.
