Tobe Wells Sinclair
Funeral services for Mr. Tobe Wells Sinclair, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Donald Sinclair officiating.
Visitation will be held at 5 p.m. today, Oct. 29, at the funeral home.
Mr. Sinclair, a native of Minden and a resident of Bossier City, Passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, in Shreveport. He was a retired gasoline manager for Falco and he was a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Sinclair, and daughter, Lucy Esther Robinson.
He is survived by his son, Lynn Sinclair and wife Debbie of Minden; daughters, Carol Jan Longcrier and husband Tom of Madison, Miss., and Alice Jill Callender and husband Wayne of Minden; two grandchildren, Craig Allan Robinson and Matthew Callender; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jordan Ray Wallace
Funeral services for Mr. Jordan Ray Wallace, 73, were held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Beshea, Chaplain Debby Woods , and the Rev. Charles Wooley officiating. Burial followed at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in Springhill.
Mr. Wallace Passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, at Homer Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a resident of the Shiloh community for 57 years and a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid horseman and cattleman, construction worker, oilfield switcher, and business representative of Carpenter and Millwright Springhill Local 886.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Clydelle Wallace of Springhill; two daughters, Delores Matlock and husband Randy of Plain Dealing, Donna Ballard and husband L.D. of Shiloh; son, David Ray Wallace and wife Judy of Springhill; grandchildren, Tony Matlock of Plain Dealing, Tammy Matlock of Bossier City, Adam Wallace of Springhill, and Laura Wallace of Springhill; brother, Horace Wallace and wife Sally of Springhill; four sisters, Evelyn Ratliff, Doris Beavers, Joyce Hatch and husband B.R. and Maxine Nealy and husband Marshall, all of Springhill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Ray Hunt, Richard Baker, Gary Rivers, Rodney Wallace, Gary Nealy, and Ronald Wayne Shaver. Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Smith, Sammy Green, Marshall Nealy, Jerry Stevens and B.R. Hatch.

Frances Thomas Walker
Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Thomas Walker will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at First Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. Wayne DuBose officiating and the Rev. Ronald Prince assisting. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the funeral home and Wednesday, prior to services.
Mrs. Walker, a native of Natchitoches, Passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, at Integrated Health Systems nursing home in Minden following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 12, 1920.
She graduated from Northwestern State University with a degree in education. After marrying in 1944, the Walkers moved to Minden in 1945, where she was actively involved as a member of First Baptist Church. She taught youth Sunday school and directed Girls' Auxiliary for many years and also was an active member of the Women's Missionary Union. She was a member of the Women's Department Club, the Junior Service League and Young Women's Service Club. Mrs. Walker was also a charter member of the Minden Study Club, and an active member of the Association of Natchitoches Women for the Preservation of Historic Natchitoches.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking and sharing coffee and conversation with her friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was known for her gracious loving ways and her ministry of caring to many people through the years. She will be greatly missed, not only by her loving family, but also by a multitude of friends, both young and old.
She is survived by husband of 57 years, Andrew N. Walker; three children, Martha Lynn Wetzig of Minden; Ellen Elizabeth "Libby" Cleveland and husband Gary of Berthoud, Colo.; and Tommy Walker and wife Cindy of Minden; grandchildren, Lindsey and Leah Wetzig of Dallas and Baton Rouge; Aaron, Kelly and Laura Cleveland of Berthoud; and Chris, Craig and Cara Beth Walker, all of Minden; sister, Rosemary Thomas Baker and husband Glen of Natchitoches; brother, G.F. "Sonny" Thomas and wife Mary Jean, also of Natchitoches; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Missions Ministry of First Baptist Church, 301 Pennsylvania Ave., Minden, LA 71055.

Edna Kirkpatrick Broughton
Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Kirkpatrick Broughton, 85, will be held
at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 24, 2001, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer
with the Rev. Andy Prince officiating and Dr. Randy Hales assisting.
Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Homer.
Mrs. Broughton, a lifetime resident of the Homer area, Passed away
Friday, Sept. 21, in Homer. She was a homemaker. She was a member of
First United Methodist Church in Homer and she was the retired owner of
"The Purple Cow Café" for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Albert Kirkpatrick and
Iva Lee Owens Kirkpatrick; one son, Barry Lynn Broughton; three sisters
and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, E.E. Broughton of Homer;
three sons and daughters-in-law, Ernest Broughton of Breman, Ga., Ronnie
L. and Glenda Broughton of Minden, and John Randall "Randy" and Megan
Broughton of Homer; one daughter, Lawana June Weaver of Minden; two
sisters, Inez Evers of Emerson, Ark., and Linda Chappell of Kilborne;
one brother, Thomas Harold Kirkpatrick of Springhill; 15 grandchildren;
22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Dorothy Patricia Cameron
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Patricia Cameron, 65, were held at 2
p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home with
the Rev. Randall Bost officiating. Burial followed at IOOF Cemetery in
Caddo Mills.
Mrs. Cameron, a native of Minden and a resident of Commerce, Texas ,
Passed away Friday, Sept. 21, at her residence. She was an operator for
Southwestern Bell; owner of Dorothy's Fashions in Commerce; and worked
for John Clark at Jim Clark Clothing Store in Commerce. She was born
Nov. 9, 1935 and was married to Jimmy Cameron July 3, 1975 in Commerce.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Clay.
She was survived by her husband; daughter and son-in law, Sandy and Troy
Bethea of Caddo Mills; daughter, Penny Dooley of Lone Oak, Texas ;
brother, Johnny Hough of Minden; sister, Jeannie and husband LeeRoy
Taylor of Minden; mother, Ella Mae Clay of Minden; grandchildren,
Kristina and Dewayne Barnes of Caddo Mills, and Heath and Alisha McGee
of Caddo Mills; three great-grandchildren; step-son and wife, Albert and
Rosemarie Cameron of Ennis, Texas .
Pallbearers were John Clark, David Huffman, Heath McGee, Dewayne Barnes,
Jamie Bethea and Todd Bethea.

Nina Walthall Wright
Funeral services for Mrs. Nina Walthall Wright, 88, will be held at 2
p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev.
Danny Warbington officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory
Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Wright, a native of Waldo, Ark., and a resident of Minden, passed
away, Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, in Minden. She was a retired seamstress.
She was also a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church and a former
member of Webster Rebekah Lodge 18. She taught beginner Sunday school
many years and was a member of the Gleaner Class. She was employed for
many years at LAAP. She loved making things for her grandchildren and
known as "B" Wright to her great-grandchildren, she will be missed by
family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William A.
Walthall; husband John O. Wright and daughter, Wanda Chreene.
She is survived by her son, John O. Wright of Minden; daughter, Patricia
Smith and husband Jerry of Minden; brother, Chaddie Thurston Walthall of
Dallas, Texas ; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

Alberta Lee Cooper
Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta Lee Cooper, 46, will be held at 11
a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Cotton
Valley. Burial will follow at Wesley Grove Church Cemetery under the
direction of Paradise-Metropolitan Funeral Home in Shreveport.
Ms. Cooper, a resident of Minden, Passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, in
Minden.

Inez Crow
Funeral services for Inez Crow, 67, were to be held at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 18, 2001, at Bright Star Baptist Church in Minden. Burial was to follow at Bright Star Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Crow, a resident of Cotton Valley, Passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, in Shreveport.

Selma Jenkins Caple
Graveside services for Mrs. Selma Jenkins Caple, 79, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden with the Rev. T.W. Barnes officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Caple, a native of Coalgate, Okla., and a resident of Sibley, Passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, in Minden. She was a resident of Sibley for the past 20 years.She is survived by her husband, Douglas Warren Caple of Sibley; sons, Denver McDonald of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Raymond McDonald of Sunnyvale, Calif.; sister, Mabel Cooper of Richmond Calif.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
