Funeral services for Mrs. Catheryn Layssard Holomon "Miss Cathy," 54, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Judy Bazer officiating. Burial will follow at Brushwood Cemetery in Dubberly.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 10 p.m. today, May 23, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Holomon, a native of Pineville and a resident of Dubberly, Passed away Thursday, May 22, in Dubberly. She was the former owner and operator of Cathy's Grocery for 17 years and was an employee of Minden's Wal-Mart in the men's wear department.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur L. Holomon of Dubberly; parents, Paul and Kathleen Layssard of Gardner; stepsons, Arthur L. Holomon Jr. and wife Kellie of Fort Worth, Texas , and Robert Kevin Holomon of Fort Worth; stepdaughter, Deborah Holomon of Fort Worth; sisters, Bessie Ann Richie and husband Freddie of Otis, Delores Blakesley and husband Ross of Gardner, and Peggy Brown of Augusta, Ga.; brothers, Paul Layssard Jr. and wife Marie of Otis, and James A. Layssard and wife Mary of Pineville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Dorothy Jenkins
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Jackson Jenkins, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. today, May 23, 2003, at Unity Baptist Church in Cotton Valley with the Rev. Kenny Joyner officiating. Burial will follow at Cotton Valley Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Jenkins, a native of Riderwood, Ala., and a resident of Cotton Valley for the past 51 years, Passed away Thursday, May 22, in Springhill. She was a homemaker and a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was also a member of the W.M.U. and a member of the Senior Friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, George E. Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband, Ocie Enis Jenkins of Cotton Valley; two sons, James L. Jenkins and wife Debbie of Minden, Johnny R. Jenkins and wife Kelsie of Cotton Valley; daughter, Alice Olive and husband Robert of Cotton Valley; sister, Pete Culpepper of Houston, Texas ; brother, Leo Jackson of Mobile, Ala., nine grandchildren; four great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Heaven Nolen
Funeral services for infant Heaven Jarenda Jackell Nolen will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Full Deliverance Christian Church with the Rev. James Lee Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Sheppard Street Cemetery under the direction of Kennon's Mortuary Inc. in Minden.
Visitation will be held today, May 23, at the funeral home.
Heaven Passed away Tuesday, May 20. She was born to Jackie Nolen and Renda Gail Webb Brown on March 31, 2003 in Minden.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Lee Webb.
She is survived by her loving mother; her devoted father; two sisters, Lawrencetta Brown and Scarlett Brown; three brothers, Harold Brown, Sylvester Coleman, and Jackie Nolen Jr.; maternal grandmother, Ludell Howars; paternal grandmother, Alma Lockhart; paternal grandfather, Freddie Nolen; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Irma Rambo
Funeral services for Mrs. Irma Lee Ashley Rambo will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Springhill CME Church in Ringgold with the Rev. Larry G. Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Kennon's Mortuary Inc. in Minden.
Visitation will be held today, May 23, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rambo is survived by close cousins, Roosevelt Collins, Rachal Wilson, Isie B. Cook, Ms. B. Garner, all of Ringgold; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mary Reagan
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Opal Reagan will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Frank DeLoach officiating and the Rev. Mike Crump assisting. Burial will follow at Brushwood Cemetery in Dubberly.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today, May 23, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Reagan, a native of Jemison, Ala., and a resident of Dubberly for 60 years, Passed away Thursday, May 22, in Minden. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubberly.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Reagan of Dubberly; children, Thomas Randall Reagan and wife Denise of Dubberly, Judy Harwell and husband Tommy of Dubberly, Tammy Frye and husband Joey of Minden; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Marie Greenard
Funeral services for Ms. Marie Greenard will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church in Minden. Burial will follow at Cotton Valley Community Cemetery under the direction of Patterson Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 23, at the funeral home with family hour from 7 until 8 p.m.

Roy Inabnett
Funeral services for Mrs. Roy Miller Inabnett, 93, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. J. Roddy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Minden Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today, May 22, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Inabnett, a lifelong resident of Minden, Passed away Wednesday, May 21, in Minden. She was a member of the Minden Beautification Council, Main Street Committee, and was Minden Woman of the Year in 1962.
She was also a member of the Minden Garden Club, the Arrangers Study Club and the Council Flower Show Judges. Mrs. Inabnett was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Minden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemwood Inabnett and her daughter, Sallie Inabnett.
She is survived by her son, Joe Inabnett and wife Anne; and their children, Christian Charlton and Elizabeth Charlton, all of New Orleans.

Annie Lou Riser
Graveside services for Ms. Annie Lou Riser, 90, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Dr. Rick May officiating. Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today, May 21, at the funeral home.
Ms. Riser, a native of Bienville Parish and a resident of Minden, Passed away, Monday, May 19, in Minden. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Edward Jones
Funeral services for Mr. Edward E. Jones were held Saturday, May 17, 2003, in Duncanville, Texas .
Mr. Jones, a resident of Minden, Passed away May 12. He was born Jan. 21, 1953, and married Jackie Williams of Duncanville.
He is survived by two children; three grand-nieces and nephews; four brothers and two sisters.

Noel Byars
Funeral services for Mr. Noel Randolph Byars will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Don McCormick officiating and the Rev. James A. Crain assisting. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m., today, May 19, and Tuesday, until time of services, at the funeral home.
Mr. Byars Passed away Sunday, May 18, at his residence. He was born April 29, 1908 in Bearden, Ark., to Benjamin Joab Byars and Lucy Jane Chambliss Byars. He lived in Minden for 69 years.
He was a faithful member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for more than 60 years. He was also a master Mason and a member and Past Worthy Patron of Minden Chapter #53, Order of the Eastern Star.
He retired from People's Bank, where he worked for 42 years. Mr. Byars was a graduate of Bearden High School and Tyler Commercial College in Tyler, Texas .
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Thelma Rowland Byars, to whom he was married for 73 years; his parents; his brothers, Roy, Troy, Rhea, and B.J. Byars; and a sister, Ollie Benson.
He is survived by his children, Rolene Camp and husband Charles of Minden; Barbara Reagan and husband Roy of Minden; Noel Eugene Byars and wife Cecelia of Beaumont, Texas ; eight grandchildren, Roland Camp of Camden, Ark.; David Camp of Shreveport; Lynne Rhodes, Denise Edwards and JoAnna Marks of Minden; Eugene Byars and Randy Byars of Beaumont, Texas ; Tim Byars of Dyersburg, Tenn.; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Virginia Dell Byars of Bearden, Inez Landrem, Irene Brown, and Hazel Young of Minden; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Roland Camp, David Camp, Eugene Byars, Tim Byars, Jeff Rhodes and Kris Marks.

Mary Maddry
A memorial service for Mrs. Mary Caldwell Maddry, 76, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. J. Roddy Taylor officiating.
Mrs. Maddry, a native of Magnolia, Ark., and a resident of Minden, Passed away Friday, May 17, in Minden. She was a dentist aid and a member of First United Methodist Church in Minden.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Maddry of Minden; daughter, Patsy Kilpatrick of Minden; grandchildren, Kristie Martin and husband Carlos of Minden, and Richie Kilpatrick and wife Wendy of Shreveport; four great-grandchildren, Quenton Martin, Amanda, Kelsey and Cody Kilpatrick; and a host of friends.

Bertha Washington
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Lee Washington will be held at noon, Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at Kennon's Mortuary with the Rev. James Kinsey officiating. Burial will follow at Sheppard Street Cemetery in Minden.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 20, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Washington is survived by her half-sister, Estelle Moore of Minden; close friend, Ethel Miller of Minden; special cousin, Linda Williams of Minden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Lonnie Grim Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Lonnie Bernard Grim Sr., 58, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2003, at Miller-Pioneer Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. B.F. Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Ada Taylor .
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 18, at the funeral home.
Mr. Grim, a resident of Minden, Passed away Sunday, May 11, in Minden.
He is survived by his mother, Ola B. Grim of Minden; sons, Lonnie B. Grim Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., Jason Grim of Minden; daughters, Charva Grim and Amber Harris, both of Los Angeles; brothers, Larry Grim of Minden, Michael Grim of Fredericksburg, Va.; sisters, Norma Grim Postel of Houston, Texas , Linda Grim Travillion of Shreveport; and several grandchildren.

Roy Grant
Funeral services for Mr. Roy Lee Grant will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Homer. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Homer under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 5 until 6 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Memorial Funeral Home in Homer.

LaTray D. Miles
Funeral services for Mr. LaTray D. Miles will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at King Solomon Baptist Church in Sibley. Burial will follow at King Solomon Cemetery under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 6 until 7 p.m., Friday, May 16, at the funeral home.

Geneva Nelson
Memorial services for Mrs. Geneva Lockhart Nelson will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Mt. Calm Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. T. Alexander Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at Sheppard Street Cemetery under the direction of Kennon's Mortuary in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 7 until 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nelson, a lifelong resident of Minden, was the second of 11 children born to the late William Amos Lockhart and Clara Rice Lockhart.
She married Joe Nelson on Sept. 7, 1946, and to this union was born one child, Jerry Joe.
She was an active member of Mt. Calm Missionary Baptist Church for more than 50 years, implementing several programs and fundraisers that still exist today.
She was an educator in the Webster Parish School System for 32 years, after graduating from Grambling College in 1950. She also completed continuing education courses at the University of Southern California, and Prairie View University. She was a member of the National Education Association and the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association. She was a board member of the Minden Housing Authority for 19 years.
On Monday, May 12, at 6:50 a.m., she Passed away, after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents; one sister; and two brothers.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Joe, three grandsons, Dorman, Jared and Jelani; one granddaughter, Jalyn; six sisters, Mandy Washington and husband Pat of Dallas, Texas , C.B. Odom, Arstella Jiles, Gloria Green, Christola Walton and Vernell O'Neal and husband Joe; one brother, Henry Lockhart; three aunts, Vera Williams, Vera Rice and Vesta Thornton, all of Minden; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
